Interesting, I just read that Arsenal are demanding Nani as part of the Vermaelen deal. I know a lot of Arsenal fans don't like Nani, but I think he would be a decent signing.

Bloody hope not. Is he exceptional quality? No! . Oh yea he'd be cheap so that trumps being exceptionally talented!
That's what annoys me about the fabregas thing, he is exceptionally talented and will considerably strengthen a rival of ours. Next wenger will be looking at tom cleverly!

Nani looks to me more likely to leave for Serie A, but if these rumours are true its not a bad player to have on the left

Even so a straight swap would make sense, and we don't have to look for a LW/LM player and we have more money to spend on a striker, DM and RB

Personall I expect Balotelli, Aurier and Khedira to be playing in an Arsenal shirt next season.

Well it could certainly become an interesting contest between Nani and Podolski as to who is the most useless.

Pods a great player. Useless?

Nani used to be ok but since he got knocked down the pecking order at old rubbishford he's not been the same player.

Usual paper nonsense. They've been saying for ages we're going to sign casillas among other rubbish. It's just the usual cheap journalist nonsense that isn't worth even taking notice of. It'll be kalou next. Give it a few weeks we'll probably be on the verge of signing kevin hofland and van bommel again - they just churn over the same rubbish.

Thankfully this is a standard summer story. Every year Nanis coming to Arsenal. Every year I can't help myself but feel a small shiver of fear, and every year it turns into sweet nothing. Nani is a despicable player, not only is he one of the worst cheats in the game but he is also all style and no substance. If he can only get 3 games in the last half of the worst season in United's modern era don't you think that tells us how bad he is? To compare him to Podolski is apallin given the efforts and commitment he has shown to us.

The papers are always talking about "swap deals" but can anyone actually remember the last time a major one happened?

@Jack, IMO it just makes the transfer seem more exciting to say there'll be a swap. Nani is a well-known prick, er I mean player, so the news will probably get Arsenal fans more riled up and get more page hits than if it said Verm's off for 15m

Exactly what I meant wire, just a way of getting people talking more than they otherwise would be.

Also, I just read that its Cleverly not Nani who we're swapping TV5 for, so can we all just forget all these swap deals please?
