First 3 games of the season, Sunderland (h), fulham (h), Southampton (a) not sure what order though with the fulham and Southampton games.

Peter the gooner

Believable13 Unbelievable22

The problem with reading stuff on twitter and quoting is, its quite often wrong 1st three are Sunderland(h), Stoke (a) Liverpool(a)

Agree0 Disagree0

Try again... Sunderland (h), Stoke City (a), Liverpool (a).
What did you did you do, close your eyes and stab your pen on a piece of paper with a list of teams on?

Agree0 Disagree0

I hold my hands up I was wrong, this just proves that you can't believe everything you read on the Internet..

Peter the gooner

That's what I like to see, apologising for an honest mistake

{Ed022's note - brand new Player Profile on Alan Dzagoev of CSKA Moscow, as well as the Russian national side. Arsenal have shown a lot of interest in him this year and have even sent scouts out to monitor him over a period of time, so the interest seems strong. He is also available on a free at the end of the year, so is a definite possibility. www.player-profiles.co.uk - thanks all.}

Arsenal have bid £8 million for Isco (Malaga)
TrUST

Believable12 Unbelievable27

Then we're going to be very dissapointed.

D

Agree0 Disagree0

Isn't his buyout clause more like 15m?

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga, like City and PSG, really never have to sell anyone. I don't see them letting go a young talent like Isco for any reason, and certainly not 8 mil.

Agree0 Disagree0

More like £20 million for malaga to sell

Agree0 Disagree0

Every time the word 'malaga' comes up in a post it immediately looks unreliable.

Lewis Holtby said on Talksport that he would like a move to Arsenal and it would be massive. S.A Gooner

Believable15 Unbelievable14

We know he said this weeks ago on talksport! they just repeating it, keep up !:)

Agree0 Disagree0

Was this not nearly a month ago?

CT

Agree0 Disagree0

He did say that but is he good enougth for arsenal? We need m,vila, he looks quality

Agree0 Disagree0

"is he good enough for arsenal? We need M'villa"

First off mate, totally different players. Night and day.

Second, I truly believe he is, he's a good dribbler, good range of passing and has come through in a German golden generation for midfielders, have to remember, he's competing with, Marin, kroos, mueller, schweinstiger, Ozil, Draxler, Goetze, gundogan and a few others, for 3 attacking mid spots in the German 4-2-3-1, now I know schweini is playing in a deep role and muller is a striker by trade, as Is podolski, but they can, or are occupying those positions, a player of his level would make England's bench at the very least, it's just the Germans are inundated with good young players ATM, I'd take Holtby like a shot.

D

Agree0 Disagree0

He never said he would like a move to arsenal, he simply said he liked the way arsenal play football. talk about chinese whispers..

First game of the season at home to Sunderland. Fixtures officially announced on Monday. A

Believable16 Unbelievable4

Get in, guess thats 3 points already.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sunderland fan here. You clawed past us just about last season what makes you think you will stroll past us this season. Especially if you lose your best player

Agree0 Disagree0

He's right, can't say we're going to get 3 easy points, sunderland are no easy team they proved that last season, both games in league and fa cup against us, I think they were the only team to takepoints off man city at home too

Agree0 Disagree0

As long as our team isn't a shambles as it was at the start of last season then we should manage 3 points. I'm just happy we have a home game to kick things off! A

if holland go out tonight do you think van persie's contract will be sorted any sooner? and are arsenal likely to bid for affellay this summer?

cheers

aaronk9

Believable21 Unbelievable10

I can see him coming back, people expecting him to make an announcement and he says that he is going away for a while to rest and consider his situation, even though everyone fine well knows what he wants to do
AYoungGunner

Agree0 Disagree0

I know ive been saying it for weeks now numerous times but affelay is really overrated on here, it pisses me off. he offers nothing which is why he has been dropped for tonight's match.

Agree0 Disagree0

Think about it guys, rvp wants a 4yr deal. Can you really see him playing a season like his last for the next 4? Don't think so!
Butty

Agree0 Disagree0

What is it with all this love for affelay. Barely played for a year. Ineffective in the euros. Hardly what we need is it.

Paul - Rochester

I think he's a good player but with the Ox, Gervinho, Podolski and Santos I'd say we have more than enough players on the left.

Rumours have it Montpellier have all but completed a move for Gaetan Charbonnier, currently of Angers SCO in the French Ligue 2.

Obviously only a rumour at this time, nothing has been confirmed as of yet, but if its true, surely this must mean Giroud is on his was to Arsenal.

Ben X.

Believable26 Unbelievable6

What happens if giroud signs for bayern ? Montpellier will still need the replacement striker wont they.

Funny that you think Arsenal are the only destination for Giroud, just because you want him to join us. Likewise for M'vila. They could both goto other clubs, just as hazard went to chelsea, cahill went to chelsea, mata went to chelsea, vertonghen declared himself to spurs. One by one, all the players that people thought were 100% destined to goto Arsenal, went to other clubs...and one by one, they have all been forgotten. Gotze...eriksen...just forget them.

Remember chris samba?
Had you been on this page last year, he was going to be the arsenal saviour and he was the only defender to help us bring physicality to our game. We didnt buy him did we. We finished higher than we did the previous season. We improved, WITHOUT samba.

Giroud is one of a dozen players that wenger likes and might sign. If we dont sign him, he will be forgotten in a day by everyone on this page.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's a bit like saying Arsenal are signing Giroud surely RvP must be leaving ...

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't blame me if you thought Samba and Cahill where joining us, neither where strongly linked with us, just because both stated they wanted to leave they're clubs doesn't automatically mean we are interested. Mata is a different situation all together, once Chelsea where interested, it was always likely he was going to join them, sometimes you have to use common sence, Chelsea could offer a larger transfer fee, more wages etc.. Where as with M'Vila, he said working with Arsene is far superior to working with any other manager because he wants a place in the French first squad and feels with Arsenes previous, he can supply that. Giroud I doubted until it all kicked off last week and Montpelliers president pretty much said he's coming to Arsenal.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

M'vila already plays as a regular for france. Samba and cahill were bookies favourites to be signed by arsenal for 4+ weeks.

This time last year I was at a loss to understand what Wenger's plan was but atm I think he's once again building a team that will be competing for trophies. But with the type of players we seem to be targeting. I do have the feeling that Wenger is trying to build something special over the summer to try and challenge for the title next year.

Maybe even to properly challenge for the one trophy that has evaded Wenger throughout his career, the Champions League?

I don't see us buying Dzagoev at all. I can't see why Wenger would want an AM with the likes of Rosicky, Ramsey, Wilshere and Chamberlain all competent at that position (In this view I reckon). However, I want to point out that we do need one (imo) to go along with the other signings if we're going to challenge for the league.
But our Europe campaign next year will be really interesting defo.
Eman

Believable24 Unbelievable7

Ramsey...are you mad?
hes not capable, rosicky is more of the creative type as is whilshere their roles are to spray passes and find that killer through pass and the ox wont be playing in cam any time soon.
I mean i am not a ramsey hater but hes gotta lot of work to do to convince me.
with dzagoev he bangs in goals incase you havent been watching the euros, hes like a pires type (not style wise but scoring) and that what we have lacked for ages along with a solid cdm and a pyhsical presense in cf. now with reports of m'villa and giroud signing looks like the prof is addressing these issues and with dzagoev we will find the perfect all conquering team squad.

The pan

Agree0 Disagree0

Dzagoev gives another, more dynamic option at AM that could turn draws into wins and could change games on the counterattack. his quickness and speed of thought are game changing and as he matures his decision making will become even better. As long as he's right in the mind for a move away from Russia we should be the ones to buy him as he is Russia's next big star.

There is definitely some legs in the Van Persie story, apparently he has got soo fed up with his Dutch teamates taking the mickey as he only plays for Arsenal that he has said he is leaving. He just wants to win something.

Believable10 Unbelievable32

LOL! weekend kids are here again! so do you think they take the mickey out of snjieder because he plays for inter?

or robben because he didnt win anything?

jeez...

Agree0 Disagree0

This is nonsense, arsenal are a huge team? We're constantly in the last 16 champs league. I don't need to list the great players that have been at arsenal over the years. Van persie is a great player but let's be fair out of all the years he has been at arsenal. His had 1 and a half great ones, need new blood selling him now would be like selling Henry to barca....good business as he has hit his peak and it's only down hill from now on

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha poor old heitinga must be suicidal..

Agree0 Disagree0

They must have a barrel of laughs with heitenger then.

Agree0 Disagree0

Or what about the dutch sub who plays down the road?!

Agree0 Disagree0

He will stay! End of story. I already hate these little kids who believe in all the rumours of crappy newspapers...

Agree0 Disagree0

When you think about it apart from the ajax players who won anything this year that plays for holland? If anything he could boast about the hat trick of personal awards he has collected

Agree0 Disagree0

So now the dutch players spend their time taking the piss out of arsenal do they? it wouldnt even matter, he dislikes half of them anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

LOL VDV must be shoving it really into RVP face..RVP must be so jealous of Spurs who got CL football, great manager...oh wait....lol....doh!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

As opposed to who exactly ? Huntelaar in the dizzying heights of Schalke ? or Afellay on the extreme fringes of the Barcelona team ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Stupidest rumour I've seen on here in yonks, and that includes the ones where people were suggesting we were going to buy Nasri and Ade back from city

Agree0 Disagree0

Snjeider- inter (sh*t)
VDV- sp*rs
robben- tropyless choking bayern
van de wiel- sh*tty ajax
hunterlaar- schalke
heitinga- everton
stekelenburg- roma
dejong- bench of city
dont get me started on the rest of the defence and van bommel;
in summary if they're taking the mick out of RVP for being PL top scorer, among the other accolades they need to take a long hard look at them selves, the only player that's maybe at a better team is robben, and all RVP has to say back is "remind me of the time i lost my country the WC final and then 2 yrs later my club the CL final", pipe down mate!!

Agree0 Disagree0

To whoever posted above that must be a bit disrespectful for Bayern, Inter and Ajax(They have all won the CL Before)

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont be an person half the dutch team still plays in holland or play for aging italian or german sides who cant evn beat chelsea

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats the point too many fans dwell on whats happened in the past just because you have one a champions league trophy 20 years ago does not mean your gunna win it next year

Ive noticed that the clint dempsey talk has gone quiet.

I think that dempsey and dzagoev are very similar players, so I'd like to see on here who people would rather take into the arsenal team,

Dempsey, or Dzagoev?

I would take Dempsey, I love his work ethic - and the russian work ethic is questionable.

Believable10 Unbelievable21

Dzagoev

Agree0 Disagree0

Dempsey ALL THE WAY

Agree0 Disagree0

Dempsey is old and selfish, doubt he'd bring much to the team at all besides shooting when he should be passing

talk about a waste of money

Agree0 Disagree0

No. Dempsey is a technical support forward that's been jerked around the midfield his whole career. Dzagoev is a creative, intelligent attacking midfielder with acceleration and directness. They are completely different and I would take Dzagoev for his youth and energy any day over Dempsey's experience and calm finishing. They could both be bought and would complement each other well, but realistically I would want the money spent on Dzagoev, who will be cheaper and will offer value in terms of years at the club and potential growth.

Agree0 Disagree0

Both are are abit hit and miss, Russians are good for half their contract, look at arshavin who werre tryin to get rid of and cant! Only plays good for his country? Dempsey, like Van P has had 1 good season! No to both, for me!

Agree0 Disagree0

In order to have 2 or 3 Good Seasons you 1st need to have 1. Imagine if you said Federer was Crap basing it on that he only had one Wimbledon all those years ago. The moral of my story is simple enough - Give players opportunities to show what they are capable of before dismissing them as being one season wonders - Dempsey, RVP, Giroud...
GoonerPTA

Agree0 Disagree0

Dempsey is too old and overrated

Agree0 Disagree0

Definately dzagovev but i think wenger must consentrate on buying a CAM now he can stop worrying about forward

I love this site! For the last 4 weeks i have seen post after post saying how we are getting Giroud and what a great signing, now it looks like we are getting him all i have read is how he is gonna be crap and another Chamakh!

Just goes to show how 90% of the people post who we are signing without any knowledge of european / world football yet claim to be in the know!

There is always a chance that a player will flop Shevchenko was amazing at Milan and useless at Chelsea. Giroud is a class player and having watched many of his games this season he is 10 times the player Chamakh is. He might struggle to adapt he might be amazing. If he does sign he is an arsenal player and get behind him and cut the negativity

With recent summers gone by in mind if we get podolski, Giroud, M'vila and an am or keep RVP that is one hell of a summer by our standards! So quit moaning and get behind the boys!

Suffolk Gooner

Believable38 Unbelievable2

Well said!!...

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes I agree that we are looking good on the attacking front but we still have a flaky defense. If we get games next season where we don't score the chances are we will concede and lose the game.we still need a decent cb,and a poss lb.. If we sorted our defense then next season bring it on.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nailed it

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone who thinks we need another quality CB is mad. We're sorted at that position. LB is where we probably need some backup, and RB we need to know if Yennaris is ready to back up Sagna.

Agree0 Disagree0

The reason people are like that is cos they no jack all about football they read the headlines on the back of papers ( only headlines cos they struggle with small print the mongs) and believe that its gospel

McGregor will sign from Rangers for £3.5m as back up for Sczeczny, Fabianski will be loaned out NOT sold.
AW- a reliable source

Believable16 Unbelievable14

Can he not come for free now that rangers fc are basically gone

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha ha you really think someones gonna play 3.5 million for a player whos whole club was sold for 5 million..

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcgregor is a free agent so should be alot cheaper than 3.5m

Agree0 Disagree0

Why get mcgregor for 3.5 million when you can have gordon for free?

Agree0 Disagree0

You'll see!
AW

Agree0 Disagree0

A) As it stands right now, MacGregor is a free agent but may move to the newco Rangers.

b) Why would it be 3.5 million when he has a clause in his contract stating he can leave for 2 million which was installed when he took a wage cut.

So this is complete and utter BS.

G95

Agree0 Disagree0

I would love this he is an amazing keeper and i trully believe if he got a run ib the Szczensy would struggle to get his place back! Just my opinion. I believe one day Szczensy will be amazing but McGregor would put him under serious pressure.
RD

Agree0 Disagree0

RB if sczeczny loses his place as number one to anyone he's ofski, no doubt. Any keeper that comes in will be a number 2.

Agree0 Disagree0

This deal will happen G95!
AW

Agree0 Disagree0

If you are so sure then explain why it will be for 3.5 million when he has a 2 million pound release clause which was installed when he took a wage cut?

G95

Agree0 Disagree0

Rangers are a new footballing company all contracts had to be re-negotiated! {Ed007's Note - It has still to be decided but the players contracts can transfer to the newco but they will be under the terms of their contract with the old club. If they are not transferred then the players become free agents.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Mcgregor wont go to arsenal to warm a bench. he is way to good a keeper. would walk into most teams in pl. as for craig gordon no where near as good. is a good keeper but greggs is amazing.
think he will sogn a contract with the new co out of loyalty to mccoist so think a fee may be involved.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know alan personally and if he does decide to move he would only go to be a no1 not a back up goalie.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think fabinanski should get a loan
arsenal should bid for neuer he an awesome goalkeeper

Hi guys - no "sources" or rubbish from me just a bit of truth.

RVP's mirror rumour today has nothing solid and has agreed to wait until after the euros to continue discussion so let's let that develop... As for Walcott - funny how he wants out yet on the arsenal website was talking about playing with Oxlade-Chamberlain next year...

So: mirror? Ignore it

Djourou is staying as he said on his twitter account so that's set that he's happy being 4th choice CB

Sturridge? No thanks. A greedy player. And another left footed one we don't need in my opinion!

Giroud - let's hope its smooth and we seal him - could rock a bit of a bergkamp role feeding onto our pacey players but also being a prolific goalscorer!

Podolski - euros has been impressive - against netherlands he tracked back the whole game and was happy to play more defensive and help Lahm with Robben - exactly what we need - high rated international player!

M'villa - needed. This will allow song to play more of an emmanual petit then a Viera and will let Kos and Verm attack more - looked confident on the ball in his cameo for france too!

Other then that let's hope wilshere comes back strong and thomas eidsfield is as promising as we all hope! I think rosicky's experience will help the two of them hugely!

Bring on the next season!!!

Rob

Believable26 Unbelievable3

Good post rob

Agree0 Disagree0

Could not agree with you more, though a problem with Arsenal is that Kos and Verm attack and dont get back fast enough, being our best two defenders, I would rather they stay back.

Agree0 Disagree0

I really think we need a new RB. Sagna is injured so much and Jenkinson is young. We can't rely on Jenkinson if we're really going to challenge. Only one problem.. You keep saying 'then' instead of 'than'. ;-)

sussex gonner

Believable26 Unbelievable16

Plus he gets injured practiclly every season.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think 30 million is a fair price but I am worried about the message it sends out to other teams. could be the start of a mass exodus. so i would do everything to keep him
BW

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather keep van Persie who is proven in the PREMIER LEAGUE so there is no need to worry about whether or not the player that we buy with this £30 million will flop unless we use that £30 million to buy someone else who is proven in the PREMIER LEAGUE but that's unlikely

Agree0 Disagree0

Only one good season maybe, but has been our first good captain for about 6-7 yrs and the rest of players really respond to him.
we need to keep.........

From what I've heard Dzagoev is open to a move to the prem. We need a CAM, and I think that he could do a good job for us. He had a good Euro's, he's fast and dangerous. He should be fairly cheap because he is out of contract in Jan.

Ted

Believable8 Unbelievable11

Not sure on Dzagoev really to be honest. He is taleneted sure on the ball like alot of the Russians and like Arshavin is, but you have to question their mental character and desire when the going gets tough.

They were in prime position to qualify and yet manged to throw it away. A Bit like Holland in a way the Russians are talented but mentally frail when the pressure is on.

Arshavin never really felt at home here and there is a risk Dzagoev could also go the same way.

I think if we get a good DM like M'villa we will be O.K in the attacking midfeild department with what we have got. We will always create plenety of chances, we just need to become more ruthless/efficent in front of goal and hopefully Podolski and Giroud will help solve that.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes a good player but not really the creative player we need

Agree0 Disagree0

I would honestly recommend no English team sign a Russian player again. They're all rubbish over here.

I dont think Arsenal will be dumb enough to sell both rvp and walcott after selling nasri and fab last year. If they do, they should hang their heads in shame. AC Milan boss has recently said he turned down a 40million + offer for T.Silva by PSG. His simple answer was, there isnt someone good enough to replace him so he isnt for sale no matter how much is offered. Hope Arsenal owners hear comments like this.

Believable20 Unbelievable6

T. Silva has more than 1 year in his contract. If his contract is expiring next year, Allegri would not be so brave ;) !

Agree0 Disagree0

Mats Hummels is at Thiago Silva's level already IMO. Although he would probably cost around £30 Million+ to get.

Sydney Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Koscielney and Vermaelen can replace him

Dunno If I am alone on this, but is anyone else here not that excited about the idea of Giroud playing for Arsenal? I think he's a decent player, but I also think that a club like Arsenal thats in the champions league every year, should be getting players who already have that experience, especially when they have the burden of responsibility for goal scoring on a regular basis.

Anyone else not excited by Giroud?

Believable9 Unbelievable23

Im guessing u havent watched him play? Hazard has a lot less experience and came from the french league...chelsea paid 30 million. Giroud is class. U do realise he is in the french national team...how is that for experince?

Hasnt even signed or played a game for arsenal, and people r whinging

Agree0 Disagree0

Top scorer in the French league.
What more do you want?
Nick.

Agree0 Disagree0

Top scorer in the euros would be nice. oh wait...

Agree0 Disagree0

French golden boot, international player at the age of 25. Logically it makes a lot of sense.

In Arsene I Trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

I cant wait for him to be signed, he should cost alot more than 12 or 13 mill we will pay but he has a clause in his contract, his club rate him at nearer to 50 mill, him podolski ox theo rvp, thats some fire power

Agree0 Disagree0

It is the french league though......not exactly the shining star of european football

Agree0 Disagree0

He's coming to play with van Persie. Another 20 goals a season will win us silverware. One player doesn't make a team. Who were you expecting? Messi? Sorry buddy, be realistic

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't diss Giroud if you haven't seen him play, quite a excellent player not just a good finisher but can pick a pass as well he's not selfish and he will do the hard for his team mates, It's he's dream to play at arsenal so don't bag a player that you haven't seen before.

Where Madrid ditched a Morientes who helped them win 2 champions leagues....

we stuck with Robin for 6 years to see his real potential these last couple years

I hope he realizes that, that if Real and not Arsenal had come in at Feyenoord, that he'd be plying his trade in France, maybe Portugal

I don't believe the media rumors about him, or that he's leaving. But sometimes, it's important to let 28 yr olds who already make 70k a week know just how good they have it....

He'll never get what he has here anywhere else...hope he knows that

US Gooner

Believable28 Unbelievable2

I completely agree with this. I think juventus are the only club who can offer the money and the playing time.

But the faith Arsenal showed with Robin and let's not forget anywhere he goes he will lose the captaincy means I would be really let down by Van Persie.

In Arsene I Trust.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree that we should keep him, but at the same time, your comment 'He'll never get what he has here anywhere else' - get what exactly? Scrutiny because he wont sign a contract? cries of 'we should sell him, he's only had 1 good season' ?

Thierry henry never got the support he got at arsenal, anywhere else - but he did win league and champions league trophies at barca..you think he regrets it?

At the tail end of the career, trophies are more important than support. This has been shown time and time again.

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact he didn't sign a new contract straight away makes me want him to go.we stuck by him and the fact that he is concidering leaving after his first full season makes him a player I don't want at arsenal. If my predictions are right that he is a money hungry player he will prob end u at man city.

Walcott wants to leave if van persie doesnt sign a new deal, who does he think he is,the bloke has had a season and a half at most playing well and thinks he is a superstar on par with van persie now, sell him now and get someone who puts in 100% effort for a whole season not just when he feels like it,what do others think

Dont believe everything the Sun and Daily Mirror print!

Anyone else like the look of the Czech right back Theodor Gebre Selassie he looked class and with Sagna out i think would be a good understudy. plus he plays for some team in Czech so would only cost a few million I would of thought.

SPANNER {Ed002's Note - He is moving to Werder Bremen.}

Believable12 Unbelievable10

Selassie definitely has a lot of stamina, but over the euro games his defensive ability has been a bit lacking in my opinion. Thats the modern full back though isnt it...all attack and no defence. Lahm is an exception, with sagna on his day, a close second.

I Think Oliver Giroud will become a LEGEND here is whi I say so: Just a few seasons ago Giroud was in the third tier of football in france and worked his way up to a Ligue 1 Title with Montpelier(One of the unlikeliest teams to win it) and was the top scorer in Ligue 1 last season this shows that he will only get better and that means that he has desire and will to win! He has adjusted everywhere he has gone to, so its utter nonsense to think that he will flop because he won't Giroud has the will to win and he has the desire chamakh is lazy bendtner is proud park is is unproven but you do not spend 12 to 13 million pounds to stick someone on the bench Giroud will get his chance and he will prove is worth! If Giroud gets to the worst stage of form that will be him assisting and linking up play! Because Giroud is a proven goalscorer and he his not the So called 'Fox in the box' he works hard links up play and scores his goals e.g Van Persie,Rooney! Giroud will be a success

Believable24 Unbelievable3

Giroud is a decent striker, but do we need a striker that cant run past a defender? van persie is slow, giroud is slow, bendtner is slow - PACE wins games.

The Mirror just printed / announced Arsenal have slapped a 30 million price on RVP.......say goodbye, he's not signing.

North Carolina Gooner.

Believable10 Unbelievable20

What do the mirror know? do you believe everything you read?

in the same article it says "arsenal are still hopeful of keeping rvp" and "wenger is willing to make him see his last year of contract out". bit contradictory dont cha think?

Agree0 Disagree0

Do u alway Go by wot u read in a newspaper ..they alway print crap to get people to buy there paper.. When u here it on tv news or arsenal website then it's correct

Agree0 Disagree0

There are no quotes in the story! That should be enough to judge the story as totally false and crap...don't fall for stupid media tricks

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol... So... With the FACT that there's a Media/Press blackout on the ongoing negotiations between Robin & the club...

And with the fact there's not one direct quote or any factual evidence to back up said story...

And with the FACT the story's written by the infamous and notorious Steve Stammers...

None of the above gave you pause for thought and maybe indicated to you that it's nothing more than BS paper-talk?

Just wondering...

Do You Not Understand They Are Trying To Sell Papers

Agree0 Disagree0

There are no new quotes in that story though, just recycled garbage

It was on the BBC hope he will stay but if he wants to go then let him getting him for 2.5m and selling at 30m I will take that

Jamaican gunner

Agree0 Disagree0

Looool XD mirror, mirror on the wall, who talks the most bulls**t of you all?:) never ever trust a word the mirror wrote. This paper is too worse to wipe your ass with. Only potatoes in charge there. If I' send them a sms saying that messi signed for arsenal it would be their cover story tomorrow!:)

Agree0 Disagree0

How can you actually believe such crap? Aside from 10 people, no one in the world knows what is going on with the Robin situation. Sharpen up

Agree0 Disagree0

That story is all bs just old quotes and rumours squeezed together to make a story up

Agree0 Disagree0

Its paper talk, they are no quotes, etc, just some journo spouting what we already know- must be quiet for stories for the sunday paper... would take it with a pinch of salt tbh.

Agree0 Disagree0

No quotes and a re-hash of everything we already know, yes agree he "could" leave and perhaps the same could be said of Walcott but I would take this article with a pitch of salt - Eds what are your views.

Agree0 Disagree0

Nonsense. That article says we are prepared to sell for £30m but provides no evidence to corroborate that claim. It's speculation designed to sell papers, they know nothing of any substance.

Stezza.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well good luck to him,no player should be bigger than a club....if he wants to stay and help brilliant..if he seeks fresh challenges then farewell...we move on...strnagely enough I would theorise that should holland be able to win the euros(through some luck !) he would be more willing to stay...
Whatever the case arsenal should continue to strengthen...I am more concerned with the renewal of song,Walcott et al

Agree0 Disagree0

Mirror is full of crap. The same newspaper said that nasri and fabregas would stay at arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

Read this back to yourself out loud mate...THE MIRROR.....my interest in your post ended there
Stee

Agree0 Disagree0

They took a 2 week old quote and reused it with a big headline! The situation is no different, I seriously think nobody knows not even Robin

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeh its really encouraging that the article has no quote from arsenal football club for the entire piece. That means it must be 100% accurate.

Agree0 Disagree0

From recent press outings, his dad said he's not going to man city, juve seem the only other viable club mentioned and for them to pay 30m for an injury ravage 29 year old with 1 year to go on his contract is just the clubs way of making it extremely harder for them to secure him.
he's staying, maybe not signing on again but he's staying put

Agree0 Disagree0

Have you actually read the article? The "news" is old hat. There are no quotes. Hillwoods comments are a week old. There are only two placed RVP is going to.. either Arsenal or Juventus. He wont go to City. There is nothing in this inept piece of journalism that we did not know last week.

Agree0 Disagree0

I know RvP had a fantastic season but do people have short term memories? We haven't been able to consistently rely on him for years due to his continuous injury problems. 30 million for an injury plagued 29 year old with one year left on his contract is good business (if someone is willing to pay it)
Also, this forces RvP's hand. Does he show loyalty to the club that have stuck by him? Or does he get one last big contract elsewhere? Either way, Arsenal will be the eventual winners.

Slick Mick

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly mick. Sell or retain, Arsenal win both ways. I'd say the ball is fully in the Arsenal court.

I must say though, if Juventus improve their team and do buy van persie...they will be a real force in the champions league next year.

Agree0 Disagree0

"North Carolina Gunner". Says it all really
