Arsenal have been encouraged to make a bid for lewandowski. I would love to see him in arsenal colors. What happens if rvp does leave and giroud is injured?

Encouraged by who exactly? By themselves? They've been following Lewandowski for a while, so this is nothing new.

No podolski plays winger for Germany but favours a forward role, i believe this versatility is the reason wenger brought him in, exactly for your reasoning of Giroud gets injured he will have podolski as an option to play upfront.

Podolski plays on the wing for Germany ... he played more central for Koln and scored plenty of goals

Podolski is a CF which explains why he is soor poor on thew wing. He hasn't got great pace and isn't the most skillful player nor does he poses natural flair and trickery but he can finsh and has a potent left foot.

No no no, Podolski is an out and out striker but he is very versatile, rather than a left winger he's more of a left forward, cutting inside when he's on the ball and when the play is on the right, he'll move over into a kind of two upfront formation. But still, his main position is as a striker rather than winger or left forward.

No Podolski is a striker made to play on the left wing by the German national team. Although he can play out wide he is best played as a CF.

Well I'm looking forward to the season. Lewandowski would be great if we got him but we all know its bs. I would see a midfield player in with rvp funds.

If I was Arsene I would chance offering both Arshavin and Bendtner to Dortmund as part of a deal for Lewandowski - both may like the idea of Bundesliga football and would probably be better suited to it. Lewandowski would be a gamble at a high price - but his resale value could be worth the gamble ... and of course if the Premiership suited him we would have a replacement for RvP.

The thing is though ... we have already signed Podolski and Giroud ... where do we fit them in ... so I can't see it happening

What would really help is AW playing people in their best suited positions, ie players like Arshavin and Walcott in more central attacking roles. The German national side have lots of options with CF's that is why Podolski is used more as a left sided attacking player. The German national set-up is 10 times that of the English national side set-up so I am not entirely sure anyone here has a better idea of how they are, or should be doing things.
Pod is a quality player. We have attacking options even without RVP, what we need is a brilliant playmaker. Hopefully Jack is back soon as he has been a huge miss. Part of the reason Ramsey has been out of sorts is that he didn't have Jack or Cesc to work with. with those losses and the sale of Na$ri our creative, attacking play was pretty much loads of effort without much end result. Arteta got stronger and stronger throughout the season and Song also contributed loads. Diaby is also supposed to be back to full fitness and looking sharp. Things aren't so bad at Arsenal with or without RvP. Last seasons EPL wasn't won, it was lost on more than one occasion by the teams that finished in the top 4, don't forget, city with all their oil money, nicked it on goal difference.

Morning every 1,,
I have been told that we will have at least 2 new signings before the tour of asia is finished and 1 of them could join the team while they are out there..

i have all so been told that PSG are leading the bids for RVP,but i have a feeling that he will sign a new contract.

AS I HAVE SAID BEFORE,there are 3 clubs in for THEO and no replacement will be brought in because wenger feels he has enough wingers.

wenger's main object is an ACM player and this is where you are going to see the clubs transfer record go out the window.

I don't understand why everyone gets irrate when you're all on a flippin rumour site. *17 year old Frenchman Mbaye Niang to sign for Arsenal in the next day or two.

*Yann M'Vila will not sign for Arsenal as they feel Rennes asking price is too high. Arsenal is looking at Etienne Capoue as a bargain alternative but even his asking price is quite high due to other clubs having shown interest recently.

*Clint Dempsey is to meet with Arsenal some time this week but the club is facing competition from Liverpool. The only way this deal will go through is if Liverpool turn their attention to contract rebel, Theo Walcott. Wenger feels Oxlade-Chamberlain is ready to start next season so he is keen to offload Walcott and replace him with a quality squad player (Dempsey).

No big names will be signed. Other players are being looked at but they are only intended to be bargain replacements for the departing dead wood.

Another thing that doesn't make sense is the fact that no other team is interested in m'vila either, and m'vila's agent still hasn't verbally ruled out Arsenal as a destination. on top of that, Rennes needs to get rid of M'vila this summer, as they have promised they would let him go. I doubt their asking price is still in the 17-18 mil range they were asking for before

That 25m offer seems like a load of b*******. if that were truly the case, then its time the arsenal board and wenger walked the plank for refusing that bid

Yeh, I've seen in a few places Chelski are no longer interested in Walcott as their £25m bid was rejected. I would have snapped that up in a split second.
