Guardian reporting that the there is no real interest in Sanchez from City. If you look at their squad that makes sense. They have enough attackers of Sanchez's ilk. They need defenders.
Looks to me like Sanchez will stay.
Let's hope his last season is as good as Suarez's last season at Liverpool (after he'd spent the summer trying to force a move, too) .

I wouldn't be surprised if City really did want Sanchez, but were happy with unsettling him as a side bonus if they couldn't land him. Who knows, he might even sign a new contract.

Wire don't stop mate it's really not worth getting cheesed off about, you regularly make good points.

It could even be a non Arsenal fan doing it for a laugh. 👍🏼.

Hi Wire don't stop posting mate the thumbs down thing is a current trend by people having a laugh nothing more mate, please don't take it personally.
This all came about by people being a bit over sensitive the thumbs thing and it's become a joke ever since mate, nothing more nasty or sinister that that geeza :-)
Look at Steve and what happened to his thumbs because he got to worked up about them :-)
Chill out wire and just carry on as you always have.

Why does everyone get so hung up on the thumbs down thing?

I don't even notice if someone puts a thumbs down.

Ha, fair cop then. My activity goes in peaks and troughs so I often miss things like ed002's restraining order against wajid.

PSG have shown serious interest in Sanchez. My guts tell me this is the time to sell him especially if and again if he doesn't want to stay with us. The reason i say so is that without him settling for what and who we have become now, his attitude is bound to cause distraction to the rest of his team mates and that could be disasterous for us.

It's the least thing we need this season. We need players who love this club for what we are, and as we bring out the best in such players, they should learn to return the favour by sticking with us in the hard times. Nevertheless, if Sanchez is happy and has accepted to stay with us, then we keep him.

Ed, if my mind served me well I think a few month ago someone talk about Arsenal want to sign Rachid Ghezzal as a free transfer. What his story now?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - You can put him out of your mind.}

Lyon didn't renew his contract. Curious as to what happened if anyone knows.

Sky sports reporting we have received a bid for wilshere of £6m + £1.5m in add ons.

Surely this is an absolute joke.
I know some people on here don't like him or believe he should be moved on, but surely he's valued way above this?

Ed is Wilshere for sale and what kind of valuation if any would you believe Arsenal are looking for?

Believable4 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - yes he is available and I have no idea how much the club want but anything they get is too much for him. Even when he is fit, he is simply not good enough. He barely moved last season and still ended up injured because he is made of crepe paper. I would question the sanity of any team that thinks he is worth buying, personally. It is very telling that Eddie Howe has not made any kind of attempt to clinch a permanent deal for him.}

18 Jul 2017 10:05:14
Agree with Ed001 there. He looked so promising at first but is made of glass and gone downhill.

It too often goes like this. He has a terrible touch then due to that has to fly into a 50/ 50 or someone crunches into him as he has shown too much of the ball due to that rubbish touch then because he is fragile he is out for months. Then repeat. It is beyond me why people rate him here. Is it because he has been with us so long or because he's English? Baffles me because in short he is crap.

£6m?
I would bite their hand off.

That's £6m plus £5m per year in saved wages. No brainer.

Oh yeah, it also free's up a bed in physio room.

Feel for the kid. Injuries have completely derailed him. Even last season he had to adjust his game to try avoid injuries. Such huge promise it is a sad story for him unfortunately.

I'd take the £6m and wish him luck, we held on to Diaby too long and cost us a fortune in wages, He's too fragile and it won't change, get him off the wage bill now.
