Is Alexis Claude Maurice from Lorient a player who Arsenal are interested in?

I must admit it is something very confusing. The media and Several other things seem to say arsenal may activate his release clause. And you say that's impossible as he is a player in Italy.
I find you very creditable Ed and always love Reading your in depth explanations on things in football that the media never seem to mention and just print the complete opposite. Not asking for an explanation as sure I've seen you attempt to explain it several times. I'm just more venting my frustration that the media seem to love spinning stories which as you say cannot happen.

Greetings eds. Marc overmars has come out and said Hakim Ziyech is going to leave the club. He would be a perfect fit in this squad. Young, dynamic, naturally wide and a good dribbler plus also initiates the press. Do you know where he could land and which clubs (if Arsenal) are interested in him? Thankyou

{Ed002's Note - Hakim Ziyech (RW/AM) concerns over one particular issue (which has already made a couple of clubs step back) will end the interest of Arsenal; Everton (a Ronald Koeman target in the summer of 2016 that Everton could look again to - but could be expensive); Inter (not first choice); Lyon (but interest is dependent on another matter); Manchester City (one of the clubs to step away because of an issue); Real Madrid (also stepped away because of the issue); Roma; Spurs (if CE leaves); Bayern Munich (who are being pushed to take him after peviously turning interest elsewhere).}

I don't know if it has anything to do with it but I did see lots of articles making a big deal of Ziyech and Mazraoui fasting for Ramadan during the semi final. But there are plenty of practicing Muslim footballers:mane, ozil, salah, pogba to name a few, who I would imagine observe ramadan and I don't remember seeing a big deal made over them. It was probably just a storm a lot of news out let's picked up and ran with.
