daily mail. Arsenals Ivan Gazidis an Richard Law will speak with Dortmund officials about buying £20m+ Mario Götze after Champions League match

Believable37 Unbelievable11

They make speak but they will not sign him and certainly not at £20m He would cost nearer £30m and he will go to a big club not Arsenal - sorry but get real we sign players for £10m not £20-30m, and we buy the players the big teams don't want.

Robin Van Persie will leave the club in January for £26.5m. Sport Entertainment Kees Vos will obviously be extremely happy to cash in on his emerging superstar.

I know the majority of Arsenal Fans will see this as a circular story, but the short contract and 28 years old factor makes this great business for Arsenal. Inter Milan will annouce the transfer early in January and Arsenal will clearly be trying to frantically find a replacement.

The replacement will be the deciding factor for Arsenal Football Club. Bring in two stars like Damiao & Hazard or Podolski & De Rossi and it will be great business, but waste it on a Gervinho & Mersaker and the coffin is nailed shut.

Good luck Arsene Wenger inn your pursuits, but I feel the water is coming down the mountain and it will be impossible to push it back up.

RVP is not going anywhere in January! If he goes, it will be at the end of the season, end of story. Makes me angry reading this.

Delussional 'No'
Horses**t 'No'
Informed 'Yes'
RVP to Inter in Jan 'Definately'
Raz uninformed armchair fan 'Certainly'
Gervinho 'Terrible'
Downing 'Worse'
Mertesaker 'Roflmao'

I am actually a Bayern Munich Fan and work in London.

Hmm Van Persie would cost more than that very precise figure. He won't leave in january - not a chance. As for when he does leave then there is absolutely no chance we could sign either Hazard (who is off for £30m plus to Real) or Damiao as bot simply are out of our league unfortunately.
But critical if and when RVP leaves it WILL NOT be in January.

Whats Wrong with You Lot Why Do You Always But Your Club Down So Much At The End Of The day We Dont Know Who Arsenal Want And We Dont Know How Much Their Willing To Pay

A Bayern fan, in London, posting on an Arsenal rumours page. We shall call you the Joker from now on as you remain nameless. Full of it mate, don't come on here and insult people who stand by their posts. Informed? Muppet, nobody in the public has a clue what is going to happen in January. End of.

At last a sensible post. No one signs big in January usually and certainly not Arsene. He will not sign to midfiled as he will reason Wilshire is coming back and it's okay. He might sign a forward but only if Arshavin or Chamakh leave, and a defender seems the most likely. Vertonghen has been linked with us by proper press and it feels like the kind of signing Arsene makes.

Arsenal recently has been heavily linked to Belgian defender Jan Vertonghen.

Wenger is said to be keen on him due to the player's versatility. He can fill in as a centre-back, left back, and defensive midfielder. With Vermaelen and Gibbs being injury prone, Vertonghen would be a good addition. Also, if Song goes down, Frimpong or Coquelin cannot be expected to immediately slot in, they're too young.

There are reports today stating that Abidal looks likely to leave Barcelona. In my opinion, if we don't sign Vertonghen in January, we should buy Abidal. Just like Vertonghen, Abidal can play a variety of positions. He's very experienced at the highest level and wouldn't be very expensive due to his age. He would really help sure up the defense for two years or so. He would be a fantastic signing in my opinion.

Vertonghen would make a lot of sense, and it would also mean we do not need to spend 25m on M'Vila, or around 10m on a new LB, or a new CB.

Vertonghen plus 1 forward player is likely I think. But then you never know with us!

RVP is linked to Chelsea for around the £28 million Mark.

Believable3 Unbelievable70

Well he's technically worth more than Tevez and Aguero so if they call it £50m then maybe Arsenal will listen!

Agree0 Disagree0

Rvp if he does leave which is a big IF he will only be going juve or inter

Agree0 Disagree0

So they'd pay 40m for modric and wouldnt even go over 30m for one of the best strikers in the world?
