Q if Wenger loves the club like he says, would he really walk away without a manager lined up / in place? . I was always convinced he would have a say in the replacement and he wouldn't leave us high and dry because Arsenal is his family . maybe I have been fooled by his BS . but in my head reality is I believe he will stay and get a suitable replacement lined up.

When Wenger decides to go, he will go. He may offer some advice on his replacement, but when his days are done, it's up to the board, not Wenger to select his replacement.

If Wenger loves the club as he says he does be'd do the honorable thing and tell the Board he is going at the end of the season. Of course, he may have done that although I strongly suspect that even if he has "in secret" it would have leaked and we'd know.

I know this won't be popular but I'm glad he will have some input ed. he clearly loves this club and no doubt wants to leave his position in safe good hands. don't suppose you've ever caught words of who he is pushing for?
