I used to hate your OT rumours but after seeing Suarez score & feeling really pi55ed off again.

You Malaga have just made me smile again. welcome back pal!

Wish it was true, a hell of a player and would be a superstar as our new number 9 cf!

Have we not sold you yet Malaga, thought you'd be at city by now

Ed02 I have great belief in U that's why I m asking question from u? Ed02 do u have any latest transfer news for arsenall? And is there any deal close for arsenal?thanx and will really appreciate your reply

Believable1 Unbelievable4

{Ed002's Note - Wajid I have explained where Arsenal are interested in players and there is no change I know of at this time. I cannot answer questions with "close" in them.}

19 Jun 2014 15:34:59
Hi Ed001, what's the latest with Balotelli and, Khedira please do you think we can pull these deals off.

Believable9 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - as far as I am aware, there is nothing happening right now with Mario, probably won't be anything until his World Cup is over, as he wants to concentrate on Italy. I don't know what is happening with Khedira, other than he is available and Arsenal are amongst those that have shown interest in him.}

19 Jun 2014 14:43:00
Ed's if you could please shed some info on the following, or confirm my analysis

Im Aware that Arsenal have interest in the following players but just wanted to know of interest from other clubs.

Khedira (Arsenal, Man utd, Fiorentina, Chelsea)

Balotelli (Arsenal, Liverpool, Monaco)

Reus (Arsenal, Barcelona, Man utd, Real Madrid)

Griezmann (Arsenal, Man Utd, PSG, Real Madrid)

Serge Aurier (Arsenal, PSG, Monaco)

I understand that you had given us a list of players arsenal had an interest in.

balotelli was mentioned as "considered but probably won't happen" has this changed?

can I ask for the latest on reus?

Believable2 Unbelievable7

{Ed002's Note - I have explained about Balotelli that Monaco and Arsenal have shown some interest and PSG might be interested. Read the posts about interest in the other players. I have explained the situation with Reus.}

Hi ed I would like to know are there any teams interested in Jordan Rhodes?

He is a great striker I'm amazed no one bought him in the premier league. His stats are unbelievable:
- 108 games for Huddersfield 73 gopals scored
- 87 games for Blackburn 52 goals scored

And he's only 24 years old

Believable5 Unbelievable2

{Ed001's Note - the price has so far put anyone off taking a chance on him. They are looking for £10m+, having paid close to that for him. He has a contract until 2017, so the price is not yet about to drop because of it running out. It is more likely a team in danger in January goes for him.}

Thanks for the reply ed001

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - no worries, it is a discussion that has been had between us editors, is he worth the risk? He does lack a bit of pace, I think, myself, that is the main thing holding people back, as pace would allow him to get that tiny bit of space to shoot. It was that tiny burst of acceleration Torres had that made him so special for a while. He could just get himself half a yard over any defender and get his shot off before they could get near him. Now it is gone, he has to do so much more to be able to get a shot off, and it shows in his struggles to score. I would have the same fears with Rhodes, would he have the ability to create space for himself in the box without that pace? He has in the lower leagues, but the defenders are better in the Prem. Only way we will ever know is if someone does take a chance on him.}

Yeah mate I know he lacks pace, but the thing is (I think, I may be talking nonsence) he adapts his game to his strenghts from younger age. Both him and Torres play a different role, as you say Torres relies on pace he used to outpace defenders, he was a real nightmare. But now when he lost a yard of pace he is finding it difficult to adopt another approach that would suit his game, also making a space to shoot, he used to burst through defender's lines and now he is easily surounded by defenders.
As for Rhodes he is much younger, he's not the quickest, but movement is great, and therefore his game doesn't rely too much on pace.
I can't really judge a player until I see him in the premier league, cause premier league is a different animal to championship, but I would love to see him in the prem, also scoring 125 goals in 195 appeareances is a great achievment and should not be underestimated.
The funny thing is there's no hype surounding this player. For example, Will Hughes has 6 assists and all of a sudden he is the next big thing, but this guy is tearing leagues apart and gets no mention from anybody. Honestly, I have never red an article about him.
Thanks again ed, hope you understand what I wrote, my english is a bit rusty :)

The rumours that we are to sign Balotelli are getting stronger. I would love to see him sign for us, as I believe he is maturing and Wenger should be able to get the best out of him. Imagine a front line of Walcott, Giroud and Balotelli.

Gutted for Santi and spain getting knocked out.But I blame chelsea for that as when they signed torres he turned rubbish overnight now look at costa he was awful.

Believable29 Unbelievable9

1. Torres was awful in his last 6 months at Liverpool before he joined chelsea

2. Costa is not even a chelsea player yet.

Agree2 Disagree0

I've NEVER been impressed by Costa. Admittedly, I haven't seen him play that much.

Agree2 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - He's must be the oldest/roughest looking 25 y.o in the history of mankind!}

I think I'll judge him on the bucket loads of goals he scored last season instead of 2 games in a team that don't suit his style

Agree1 Disagree0

ED007, I know he's a bit older, but have you seen Willo Flood.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Unfortunately yes, he looks like the lovechild of Jasper Carrot and Simon Pegg!}

ED007, I know he's a bit older, but have you seen Willo Flood.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - Unfortunately yes, he looks like the lovechild of Jasper Carrot and Simon Pegg which is never a good start!}

Ofcourse, I forgot he was a superstar at Celtic, ed!

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed007's Note - I can't remember who it was we were playing in Europe and an opposition player was screaming at him to give him the ball when it went out for a throw in, words were exchanged and then the opposition player looked around and going by his hand gestures he had thought Flood was a ball-boy!
Him and Barry Robson were both ugly enough to have played for Rangers.}

Another question Ed, if you will.
Papers talking about a lot of LW targets for us, with Lavezzi being the latest. I asked earlier in the year about Arda Turan, as his agent dropped a few hints about the EPL. Is there any interest from Arsenal there? I think he'd be very handy for us.

Believable6 Unbelievable3

{Ed001's Note - he looks set to stay for now. Though the way he seems to fall in and out of favour there, that situation could be totally different in a week!}

Not sure PSG will sell Lavezzi.

They have already let menez go, and while Griezmann will likely come in, I think they would want him as an Option. One could argue that hey alo have Lucas Moura.

As for Wenger buying him. He seems like Lucas Podolski Part 2. Not a bad purchase, but not certain this is what we need.

Hi Eds,
Alot of talk about Pogba going all over Europe, but, I read that Juve have made Vidal available, with the plan to keep Pogba. Is there Amy truth to this? And, is there any interest from Arsenal? Surely he's a player that fits the requirements for us in midfield.

Believable0 Unbelievable5

{Ed001's Note - they are considering selling one to raise funds to strengthen the side. I am sure Arsene would love to add either or both to his team, but Arsenal are not in the mix.}

In your humble opinion ed001, where do you see Pogba ending up? Obviously, I appreciate things change very quickly in football, but would just appreciate your insight
