Ok, could be axomplete daft thought but I think Arsene is delaying an announcement on his future to allow another club time to agree a deal with him. That keeps any journalistic curiosity about the new club at bay. Downside is it leaves AFC in limbo unless they know and are also negotiating with somebody.
{Ed025's Note - my guess (and it is just a guess) is that he is getting involved in who will become his successor sooper, he will want the right guy as he still loves the club mate..

Just heard some pundit saying that a source within the club has confirmed wenger has already signed a new two year contract and the club are looking for a good time to announce it. He reckoned the recent poor form and fan reaction has made them stop and think
Then he went on to say that as it improve sensitive information the club would deny that anything has been signed as under company law it should be announced immediately
If this is correct and he stays he must change his ways and start to compete otherwise this could damage rhe club for years.

I stand corrected but I believe as soon as he would have signed it, it would have had to have been announced. If that was the case.
