Is everything moving in the direction of major change this summer. It definitely is setting up for the chance for it to happen. Wenger out of contract, worse season for 21 years and gazidis being offered a new job away. Am I reading too much into it as well as kronkes new stadium costing twice as much as it was going to be. The extra cash would be a help. Lol.

Got to say this will he won't he saga surrounding Arsene is as difficult to predict as any suspense film I've seen, every time you think you know for sure how it's going to end the story takes another twist that makes you reassess your opinion yet again.
I'm now going for a twist in the tail where Arsene takes off his mask revealing his true identity as being Simon Brodkin all along,

Holy shizzle, Usmanov has made a 1.3 billion bid to Kroenke to buy his shares.

Only read a couple of days ago that Usmanovs personal wealth went up by over £4 billion this year.

Apparently Kroenke hadn't said a definite no.

Sell, sell, sell!

Please please sell! We need a change from the top down. I believe Usmanov will do this. And he won't see this club as purely a business. It'll also be a hobby and something he won't want to lose with. Fingers crossed.

I was slated when I said usmanov will take over one day. he's the savious imo and itl happen eventually. No top4 would be great bargaining tool.

I knew my avatar would not be wasted :) red dog if your reading this have faith usmanov is here.

I'll hold my hands up and say I was against it. Slated anyone who said it. But now we need it. I was against all the money that came with it. But now that money is in football from sponsors anyway.

He's a big Wenger fan though.

Lol he's not stupid wouldn't slate wenger before he's in. Bad PR all the noises etc are at perfect times he's a clever bloke. If he comes wenger may get a year who knows but he won't accept failure. Finishing 5th won't be a bad thing this year. D16 let's hug.

I'd love him to come in, but in reality I don't think it's going to happen. Stan is too stubborn as he's proved recently. Money talks though, so fingers crossed this is an opening bid.

Apparently the bid was placed a couple of weeks ago and has been refused. Maybe some others could show interest now.

Hi Ed´s
Thanks for the work you do on this site.
Has there been any links to Éder Álvarez Balanta from Arsenal again since he joined Basel?

Bardur.

Hello ed, in todays press conference arsene said his future will be decided after the fa cup final. Do you know if winning the fa cup has any significance to his future?

Agree0 Disagree1

{Ed001's Note - of course it will.}

19 May 2017 10:56:20
This may sound a bit vague but if arsenal do not win the Fa cup would u say that he will leave? If that is not the case do you know what factor will make him leave? Thank you ed001.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it is a personal decision, so no one but Arsene knows for sure what will decide that. Steve Bould has been saying for years now he doesn't know if he will be at Arsenal the following season as it has come down to Arsene each time to make a decision on the future. I really do not know what will make him leave and what will make him stay, but a game like the FA Cup final will make a difference to his decision because it is a huge game. Personally I think the stay away campaign is the thing most likely to speed a decision as the loss of revenue from empty seats, plus embarrassment caused to the club, will mean the club itself will have to take action to force him out, even if he wants to stay. Money is the be-all and end-all to owners in the Premier League. They act when their pockets feel the pressure not when they hear boos.}

19 May 2017 11:10:11
Thats very interesting ed. The way I see it is no top 4 and no fa cup means less money which ultimately would lead to the owners wanting wenger out. May i ask this last question ed, if he was to leave, do you know any potential replacements? Thank you again.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I wouldn't want to get into the replacements as it is impossible to say. It really depends on when the decision is made as most of the ones that were possible at one time have already decided where they will be next season.}

19 May 2017 11:33:09
Thank you ed very much, that's very interesting information.

Love hearing your opinion Ed. Do you not think waiting on arsene is a silly idea. Say he turns round after the final and says I'm off that'll leave us in a difficult position because as you said most managers will have decided where they are next season. Just seems odd letting him decide.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I think it is ludicrous and just shows that there is a weak board in place. The decision should have been made in plenty of time to prepare for next season.}

19 May 2017 15:51:36
If there are elements of the board that would like to force Wenger out surely that wouldn't be hard as of the summer he has no contract. And like say ed it further goes to show how weak the board is after he said he would make decision in march / April and nothing . After that point any board or any boss would say right we're making the decision and we're going to replace you. If Wenger comes out and says he's leaving after FA cup he wants shooting that would give us 8 weeks to find a new manager/ coach and then would be even less to a pre season. It would leave us in poor shape. Unless there is a master plan sorted and we're waiting till after CL final to announce allegri (yeah I know dream on)

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - clearly he intends to stay and is just hoping to get the results to ensure that there is not a significant backlash from the fans. At least that is how it seems.}

19 May 2017 16:10:54
It's sad when people don't know when to call it a day.

Agree0 Disagree0

23 May 2017 05:56:14
I think ed even if he wins the fall cup there will be backlash if he is to stay as still a bad season even if we win the fa cup.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I doubt he expected things to go like this though mate and now he has painted himself into a corner.}
