Ed player profile on Adrian Lopez? As well as more information on this rumour?

Billybob {Ed002's Note - Adrian Lopez was of interest to Arsenal but with Podolski and Giroud arriving I would have expected that interest to have waned, but it hasn't. Spurs interest in the player also remains but no bids have been made.}

It's a shame this became so public, as we will definitely have to fend off rival bids now!

Also, does anyone else sense this means the clear-out continues:

Arshavin / Chamakh out in Jan.

Theo in Summer?

Rumored to be interested in Beñat Etxebarria of Betis. Looks good, a younger version of Arteta by the looks of it, would be a good addition in January.

Fantastic player, comparison to Arteta's current role at Arsenal is spot on, would be a very good signing.

AC Milan are ready to battle Arsenal for the services of Montpellier skipper Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.

Arsene Wenger is a huge admirer of the versatile 23-year-old defender and was linked with a move for him in the summer.

The France international is out of contract in June and could join the Gunners on a free transfer.

But now Milan are hoping to tempt him to Italy with a move of their own
