I read that arsene made an enquiry about claudio yacob last week. 24 year old Argentinian with 3 caps, captain of his club who want him of their wage bill. Anyone know if he's anygood or if the rumours correct? Said to be in the mascherano role.

Much dissatisfaction in the AFC dressing room tonight, Wenger and/or RVP gone by June, this is fact from an insider
Believable24
Unbelievable23
It will be more than just AW or RvP.
The entire club will have a major salt-shaking aspect taken to it, once the shareholding procedures shift, come June.

.. there should be dissatisfaction, missed a golden chance to be 5th and within arms length of 4th. I hope we get an ambitious manager who doesnt keep defending his players all the time.

As much as Wenger has done for the club, it just feels as though he's arrived at a point where he can't do the job properly anymore. If you look at him during the last 10 minutes of the game today he was sitting down with his arms crossed with no answers. He'd still do a great job in another position at the club, but its time to get a manager who can actually motivate the players.

It said it all when wenger said tgere was no value in the marset at the beggining of the season. A few years ago you would have never heard that from wenger. He would have found value. I think he needs to take a step back and get a different role in the club. At least for a few years to see if somoone else can shake them up abit.
Wenger is a ledgend, but this is to long without a trophy.

Thats right- not long ago all gooners were praising and rejoicing the second coming of henry. not once did any of us think "henry? come on we can do better than that..." or, "right, we desperately need a class centre-forward for the long term, so we get a 34 yr old for 2 months?"...
the only fans that celebrated his return were the short-sighted and naive.
those with their head screwed on knew it wasnt enough.

I have said it before and will say it again -Wenger has to go. I first said this after the debacle at Man Utd when he just sat on his backside and let a team of understudy and young players take a beating. Not once did he get off his seat to try and encourage them or help. Last night was a repeat, he just sit's there without a clue. No passion for the club anymore and he should walk away and let us get somebody in who actually cares. Another transfer window goes by and we still only have one decent striker and why oh why does he insist on playing the totally hopeless and hapless Walcott? We will not be top 4 and will not be in Europe next season, so the perfect time for a new manager to bed in - I only wish the board would listen to he growing discontent or perhaps count the increasing number of empty seats!

Henry coming back was nothing more than a publicity stunt in an attempt to get more people to go to the stadium.

This IS fact, AW is now 62, obviously there's been no publicity but he has health problems, fact. He knows he can't take the club any further (the same situation when he was at Grampus, they were unbeatable once then it turned to s***), he WILL appoint his succesor, get your money on Remi Garde, BIG changes in the summer, this season has already been written off, don't shoot the messenger...

IF D Dein, came back into the Club, and maybe usmanov(spelling ?}.I would Definetly want Wenger to stay,Id No D Dein, then i say Thank You & au revoir. The reason being i Know Dein would kick Arsene up the Arse,He would tell him ,what he`s back room staff should tell him, instead of saying "yes sir,3 bags full sir, anything you say Sir" But I`d Give Wenger another Year,he deserves that for what he`s done for the club,But if was the board,i would come out and say Wenger has Got this much to spend,That way we know who is telling us the truth. The new Stadium was Down to Wenger alone,so he`s had to suffer he

Apparently during the villa comeback Wenger did little for morale in the dressing room, fact is it was Van the man who dragged the squad up.
Secondly, can anyone tell me why the ox keeps getting subbed! Once again, one of our best players, then taken off! I wanted to tear my hair out! Theo has had long enough! Let him off to Liverpool or juventus and get.ox out right!

I think AW downfall started when it was revield he was having a afair with a younger woman. I think he has lost the respect of the dressing room. He has put him self up to be perfect , but alass he is like the rest of us. I would like to see Laren Blanc as our manager unfortunatly Swansea have secured there manager (He is a breath of fresh air)

Agree0

Let's face facts! AW is and always will be a legend for Arsenal supporters. He'll probably be the next statue? .......BUT, he's an unwell 62 yr old multi millionaire who's in charge of a fading giant and under increasing pressure to deliver, face it people we're going backwards, crucially he is not a fool and knows this summer is time for radical action i.e. stepping down for a younger man (Garde?). I love AW but I love Arsenal more, i know you all feel the same way!!
Agree0
Disagree0
Wenger is a superb manager tactically. I suspect it's more to do with motivation that is causing us to not be doing so well. But we've seen against Aston Villa how he motivated the players at half time! He's still got it. What I really think is that Pat Rice has had enough. He wanted to retire last season but Arsene kept him on; legend though he is he used to motivate players in 'the arsenal way'. If he's had enough then perhaps it is time for him to retire.

Mybe reason why we never splashed the cash in Jan is because our actual targets are not available tll the summer! did anyone think of that.
why pay 35 mil for a player now when come summer theyre available 4 20m.
plus big money = big risk and they're quite a few players that come to mind when thinking of this equation.
we r not liverpool, who pay over the odds for players who are s**t.
we r a team who make players stars!
I suggest we back this great team and club and push for 4th position (and hopefully outclass the yods) for 3rd.

Hazard as said in Belgian media that he will reveal his next club in july, after his wedding end of june.I personally think he already has an agreement with that club. A friend of mine is a season ticket holder at Lille. He says it's Manu or Arsenal. Eden is someone who wants to play every game, so Arsenal would be the best choice imo

It has to be Chelsea, Malouda is old, Drogba is leaving, Anelka has left, Kalou is probably leaving, Sturidge is going to be cover. So the attacking line up is Mata-Torres-Hazard. Arsenal will only sign him if Chamakh and Arshavin leaves and Walcott moves to central position.

Wilshere may well be out for the season, but I seriously doubt that that's why we signed Eisfeld. He seems like one for the future, not a replacement for one of our best players..

Ben what happened to Gotze? you told us we were signing him - infact you were so sure you even berated and mocked someone who said we would'nt?
what has your "source" got to say about this?

Agree0

Wenger went in for Gotze and Eisfeld but for some reason we didn't get Gotze. I don't know what he has in mind though, we are still short upfront and through the middle.
It seems like all the big teams are dropping points all over the place so I still think we have a decent chance of qualifying for the champions league... It just seems sad that we aren't looking to better this.

Oh and the Wilshere stories which you weren't told. They were revealed by Mail reporters on Twitter last night, is all lies.

Typical Wenger signing. Buy someone for half a million or so and then bring them on and hopefully sell them on in a few years for 5 to 10 million. This is what the board require him to do to pay off the stadium. Up to now this strategy has paid off because the money from ECL qualification has augmented the sales and enabled us to remain relatively profitable at the same time. The downside though is of course lack of silverware and this has led to the loss of our star players over the last few years and in all likelihood the loss of ECL participation next year. RVP will almost certainly go in the summer if we fail to get 4th spot and who can blame him? I am afraid the fault is firmly with the attitude of the board and Wenger's willingness to appease them. Usmanov and Dein are the only hope. If they are not back in pretty short order I can see us having to live in the shadows of those awful spuds from up the Seven Sisters Road unless Harry's possible incarceration sufficiently destabilises them.

M.A what on earth makes you come on here with these statements, on the BBC football website it is confirmed that Wilshere has a stress fracture would you like to put the record straight.
Agree0

Hardly! We never buy big, apart from once or twice; and the big signings we have made haven't been brilliant with a few noteable exceptions such as Vermaelen and Oxlade-Chamberlain of recent.
Arsenal's consistency comes from it having a decent squad; albeit one with areas which need immediate improvement such as goals. People are quick enough to slate him, but that squad has a manager and incidentally they are pretty well managed.
I can withstand this recent form, and lower than usual league rankings i've been a supporter of Arsenal a long time; we've all seen worse. I am disapointed for that, but I see no reason not to be optimistic at least, that Wenger will improve this Arsenal side and we will be singing his name again soon enough.

From Arsenal.com-suffered a small stress fracture , he will be assesed in 2 weeks, it is not true to say he has been ruled out for the season. So give the lady a break.
Agree0

This is the top result on google:
" Arsenal midfielder Jack Wilshere has suffered a second stress fracture on his injured ankle but has not been ruled out of the remainder of the season, the Premier League club said on Wednesday.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger confirmed last week that Wilshere had suffered a "little setback" in his recuperation from injury but did not go into details.
However, Arsenal on Wednesday confirmed that the 20-year-old midfielder had succumbed to another, smaller stress fracture in the same right ankle.
"The club can confirm Jack Wilshere has a small stress fracture to his right foot, however it is not accurate to state he has been ruled out for the remainder of the season," an Arsenal statement said.
"The injury is in a different area to his previous surgery and it will be reassessed in around two weeks' time by our medical team and medical experts, who have worked together throughout Jack's recovery.
"This is a recognised complication of a complex rehabilitation process and of critical importance, Jack's initial injury is recovering well."
Wilshere, expected to be a key figure in England manager Fabio Capello's plans for Euro 2012, has not played for Arsenal this season after picking up the injury last summer. "
What exactly is this Wilshere story?
CS
Agree0

Eisfeld was not bought because of Jacks injury, he has been monitored for a while, we bought him as his contract has been running down ,so it only cost £400,000.
Agree0

I am talking about the "Out for the entire season and possibly Euro's" story, that the Daily Mail seem to have somehow conjured up last night.
Read AW's statement in regard to it, plus Jack's latest Tweets on it... Yes, there's a small stress fractured that's come up on his heel. But there's absolutely NO CERTAINTY or guarantee that he's out the entire season/misses Euro's - YET.
This was the same news Jack basically told everybody last Friday; which was my point.
I never said there was no fresh injury or whatever people are seeming to take, from my last comment.
And ty for the person who in a way defended me, but t'was deffo me who posted that ^
