Real Madrid have reportedly made a 45m bid for Fabregas, perhaps Benzema or Kaka could be part of the deal.

Believable13 Unbelievable11

That combination with Benzema+20-25 mil eur is quite possible. Nasri will go for 20mil pounds probably City or Chelsea.
Who could be in Gervinho 12m, Benzema as part of a deal, Hazard for about 30mil eur. Diego 10mil eur, Mello=Denilson+3-5mil eur, Cahill 17mil pounds, Samba 8-10mil pounds, Juan Mata for 25mil eur.

Agree0 Disagree0

Kaka would be a great add I think he would want to move away from madrid after a disappointing spell so far..

we need some big names down there with the kids somebody for everyone to look up to..

But again, i doubt we could afford his wages :( so sad..

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabregas will noot go to madrid he refuses to go ther

hi ed was wondering what are the chances of fab goin to real? would he ever go there and if so maybe a swap deal for cash plus benzema? or have we any chance of geting benzema in just a straight deal if fab goes to barca..cheers mate
jay {Ed009's Note - I can't see him moving anywhere except Barcelona. I do believe he loves Arsenal, but loves Barcelona that bit more.}

Real Madrid have inquired about about Cesc and have said they value him at 50million and would be willing to pay in full cash or part exchange.

Hopefully Cesc says no to Madrid but this now means Barca will have to up the price

Source: Sky Sports News Spanish Journalist

Believable17 Unbelievable5

Unfortunately it doesn't mean Barca have to offer more.Cesc wont go to Real so their offer is worthless.

Agree0 Disagree0

But we can say to Barca that we have an offer on the table for 50m so match that or no deal will be done

Agree0 Disagree0

Real know full well that Cesc wouldn't be interested in them so i can only imagine that maybe they are triggering a clause in his contract? obviously we would sell to the highest bidder or keep him so this would encourage Barca to match the offer otherwise we wouldn't need to enter into negotiations with them.

Agree0 Disagree0

Latest rumours are that barcelona's new bid is 8.5 million cash with 25 million to be paid in installments in 2012, 2013, 2014.

I seriously doubt that they will pay 50 million cash when they are only prepared to pay 8.5 million cash.

Well SSN believe that Villas Boas is going for a British defender and there a lot of whispers it could be Cahill. It is also believed by a very trustworthy source that although Chelsea have not contacted regarding Cahill if they do then Wenger will push on with the Samba deal instead of trying to get Cahill ASAP. This is another example of Wenger giving in too easily. If this does happen and we are not at the top by Christmas Wenger should go
And cheers Arsene all those players that you bought on July 1st really cheered me up and made me believe in you and the board

Believable13 Unbelievable7

More whingeing

what did you expect, a raft of signings being paraded around the emirates first thing this morning having been signed at 00:01am?
Gervinho's enormous forehead glinting in the morning sun having hurridly signed his deal 'to make some fans happy it was all done on the 1st july' ?

have a bit of patience before jumping on the 'Wenger must go' bandwagon

some 'fans' on here are a joke, just spouting a big load of negative bollocks

arsenalyeti

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenalyeti I aint sure about u m8 but I have lived long enough to see the game evolve in to the wealthiest sports around and I have seen teams left behind for stupid reasons. Chelsea take a risk and bring in a young manager who isnt afraid to put his hand in his pocket and buy new young talented players to take their club forward. He had promised as soon as he had arrived that he will be buying new talented players and within a week he looks set to deliver. Wenger has promised since 2006 that we will win a trophy and he still hasnt fulfilled his promise and most recently claiming that players will arrive by July 1st. He has failed on both of these promises and many more and some Arsenal fans who like me have turned up week in week out since 1991 and seen George Graham create a fantastic team in which Wenger inherited and took credit for are getting fed up with Wenger. So it aint all these players he has promised that has pissed everyone off but the fact that he has broken so many promises but still hasnt cahnged and is at fault as well as the board

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sorry but as much as i would like to agree with you Wenger did not inherited a Premiership winning team, what he did was build on the team, he brought flair, pace, and attacking football that until now people were raving about.Yes we are all frustrating for not winning trophies but sometimes we need to be more patient than we care to be as most often calling for a Head coach to be sacked won't solve anything

Mayor

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with u that he did not inherit fully a Championship winning team and that all he did was add. But since Grahams Gunners have left e.g. Adams, Bould, Seaman etc we havent had the same backbone and although he added to it there was still flair through Dennis Bergkamp who George Graham bought in.

{Ed022's Note - I think you will find it was Bruce Rioch who signed Dennis Bergkamp in June 1995. George Graham was sacked in February 1995 following the bung allegations whilst Arsenal manager}

Agree0 Disagree0

Well fellow gooners, the vibe around our club is getting ugly and i cant sit quietly any longer. heres the deal friends; our situation is twofold. firstly, we decided that to compete with the best sides in europe we had to have a new stadium with a larger capacity. we were absolutely correct in that thinking and this leads to the second point. as we began the new era of Arsenal the worldwide economy tanked and has consequently lowered the financial benefits that were to come from having a larger ground. given the current financial climate we have done incredibly well. we would all love for Arsenal to have more money to spend on player investment but its gong to take longer now. we should all be grateful that wenger has kept us competitive in spite of the global economic depression. it is a Depression friends, regardless of the media's portrayal as a recession. the world economy will be stagnant for more than a decade. for all intents the whining of Arsenal fans is no different from my kids complaining about not going to the beach for holiday this year. right now i need to safeguard the longterm future of my family by tightening our belts. if my kids ever want to go to the beach again they need to buck up and deal with the reality of the times. given the dearth of money available to him we should all be kissing Arsene's arse for keeping us in the top four. the fans savaging wenger are as shortsighted and self centered as my whiney kids. its time to grow up people.

also, if you dont like the atmosphere of the new grounds then do something about it get louder, get more positive, you can help right now you are adding to the sense of instability at the club with the constant pissing and moaning.

we are in a perfect position for the long haul and i pray arsene does not listen to the bitchy fans on this. otherwise we will be filing for bankrupcy instead of playing in the champions league year in and year out. i am in physical pain every time we fail to meet our potential but that is nothing to the pain we would all be feeling if we ended up the next portsmouth. we are in the midst of the worst economy any of us can remember and football clubs are not immune to the economic realities the rest of us are facing. please wake up and throw your support behind our team you ungrateful bitches we might be the only team NOT in recievership in a couple of years time.

Im pretty sure that if wenger spends upwards of 17 million on cahill he'll be in the starting 11

Cahill has one year left - if we buy him it will be nowhere near £17m - £14m top end, including inciments/success bonuses.

How is it that some fans think if cesc went for 40mil and nasri 20mill then arsenal would have 60 mil on top of what they had. consider all the payments they need to make. players, agents and all. The list you have for us there makes you think "not too bad" but do you really see half of them players coming. I don't

Ed, could Subotic join Arsenal? {Ed022's Note - There is interest but it seems to gathering pace recently. It would be a Wenger style signing rather than Cahill, Samba etc... Unexperienced in the PL, bit of an unknown, cheaper than English based players. It all adds up!}

Believable13 Unbelievable6

Ed I dont believe we will buy subotic, he costs the same as cahill and has no prem experience. if he signs him along with samba then it would be understandable.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed are you ok Dortmund is not going to sell him. Not even for 30 mil pounds. {Ed009's Note - I would have thought the same, as they are trying to keep their entire team together to have a crack at the Champions League, and I don't think the player will come cheap but Ed022 may well know something I don't - that wouldn't surprise me at all!}

gervinho
benzema
cahill
alvarez

most likely deals atm i think hazard may join gervinho maybe in january, nasri WILL sign a new contract soon as kroenke said that he is NOT leaving and that he will open his chequebook to keep him there.

I also hear that subotic may sign with bender going the other way, that is all thats happening so what we dont sign a world class player, with the high morale we have even if fabregas maybe leaves then we produce world class players e.g. wilshere, walcott and i think alvarez would be class as well as benzema and hazard.

These names also havent just been picked because theyve been on the transfer rumours websites in spain where most of the rubbish comes from but because wenger has expressed his intrest for these players from his own mouth.

With everyone saying that wenger is also not good enough now you are wrong, his philosophy was to raise young players into world class players and the reason that no silverware has been won is because we sold most of our 2004 winning team so taht we could make as much money out of them as possible. After wenger and the board improved training facilities and then made the players that you see on the pitch at present. We WILL win something this year i know it and as we are a strong team and with a few additions like the ones that wenger has expressed (benzema) we will be top, so in arsene we trust

Also no samba
much love

Believable11 Unbelievable7

Great way of seeing things and i would love this to happen as i also believe in Wenger even though frustration is setting in a bit :) but i still would prefer Subotic to Cahill as he looks a lot more of a world class CB that we need.
Actually would prefer Sakho but no chance for him so Subotic it is please

I'd keep my eye on the end of July for Benzema. When Real signs a top striker, which they will, Benz will be for sale. Starting Ade in champs league matches over Benz, when he was in the form of his life, are cues he's not in their plans.

Cesc money + Real surplus will give us Benz. We know Wenger wants him, is just waiting for Real to move for a striker. Juve interest in Aguero will kickstart Mou in to action.

Benz and Nasri are close buddies, as are Nasri and Gervinho.

Samir Benz Gervinho RvP, the new attacking quartet...

I could really see this...

Once fab leaves, team will be built around Nasri as the fulcrum of the attacking unit. At City, he has Silva and Tevez who'll both be ahead in the pecking order. Players like Nasri need the ball and players playing around them, not necessarily with them. Arsenal not only enhances his abilities, but makes him look better than he actually is. Its not like he has world class speed...but he is adept at 1-2s and playing off of other players, this is where is control helps him. If samir is smart, he stays and gets better. City is not a good fit for him.

He has said all along not to believe the papers. His unhappiness at the kit unveiling could be for a number of reasons. Clichy and Fab were however not there. So if anything, relax as far as Nasri is concerned. He'll stay imo.

Reports from Italy, via Italian lawyer Mrs, Doni has finally agreed to move to Liverpool, who need a replacement for Reina, who is moving to ARSENAL. {Ed009's Note - that is not going to happen - but it could have last season had Arsenal's negotiator not messed it up.}

Believable10 Unbelievable9

It will happen, Liverpool dont need to sign anymore players, as they have a surplus. This sale has been triggered by Arsenal & Reina wants CL football. Dalgleish also realises that he can sell Reina for mid £20m's & sign Doni, a Brazillina international, for £1.5m. These funds can help purchase players he requires.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is going to happen, yes we all know Brad Jones son is unwell, but that doesnt stop his father's career. Trust me Reina is on his way to the Emirates. Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jul 2011 14:33:30
I don't see Nasri leaving, I still think that he will sign a new contract, as it is pre-season tomorrow, hopefully talks will begin then. Clichy looks like he is off, and frankly I don't care, over-rated, and I would rather have Baines or Enrique, anyday of the week. Fabregas is off, which is a shame cause he is a brilliant player, but lets get as much money as we can and bring in some players. Chelsea and Spurs are after Cahill, so lets hope we can hurry up and sign him, and stop dithering like we do every transfer window and lose out on another player, cause they don't think we want to sign them that much. Gervinho and Chamberlain look like they will sign soon, not 1st team players (yet), but hopefully it is a signal of intent in this window. Alvarez looks like that will go through soon, looks like a good player from what I have seen and heard. I expect some big name signings, (remember the Arshavin signing) possibly Mata, and maybe Benzema depending on who they sign. Expect a big name signing if Gervinho opts for the number 27 shirt (his shirt number at Lile) over the number 9 shirt. I see a surprise signing come in, remember the signing of Squilaci last summer, might have been a complete waste of space, but still, I see this being the busiest transfer window in regards to Arsenal for a while now. Bendtner and Denilson are off (yayayayayayayayayayayayayay), lets give Wenger another season or two, to see what he ha sin store. This is the most nerve racking transfer window in a while, but lets have faith. In Wenger we trust Gooner for life

Thoughts? {Ed009's Note - he is almost certain to join unless it is hijacked. Nasri's price will be lowered by the short length of his contract and talks are, unfortunately, ongoing with City.}

He wants to leave but his ideal destination is Spain or perhaps Italy.}

Believable3 Unbelievable5

30 Jun 2011 23:56:37
Edd is there signs of Arsene signing ANY world class names this summer? So far, all that seems to be happening is our world class players are being linked with moves to other top 4 premiership teams. In turn we get linked with/buy players like; Oxlade-Chamberlain, Jenkinson, Cahill, Samba, etc. At this rate we will be finishing in 5th or 6th next season. No wonder Nasri wants to leave People might talk about loyalty but this is going to be year 7 of NO TROPHIES. {Ed009's Note - your definition of world class is entirely subjective but Benzema is a possible signing, he was met in Madrid by Wenger last month. Is that good enough for you?}

Another unestablished unproven player.

Wenger out

Iker munian is good he also was in the u21 squad that won the final. BUT 20mil is going a bit to far if we get him for a decent price id be happy

Fabregas to Barcelona
Nasri to Man City
Clichy to Man City

Benchwarmers going out as well: Bendtner, Rosicky, Squillaci and more.

But who's joining? Hmmm.... Mid-table next season Ed?

I think its agents making u7p stories, it started off that Nasri was close to signing , in the end sky sports are saying Man C are interested in Nasri. They probably are but are they short of stories that they have to create the story.

Im a gooner through and through BUT I have to say our time is up. Its been good and at least all of us have some really good memories growing up watching AFC winning silverware for a consistant period of time.
Look at many other teams people go through their whole lifetime not seeing their team win anything.

No not mid table, top 6 atleast

Wll not happen...

Tomas "Wonder boy" Rosicky has thankfully informed the club that they will have his services secure for at least another season, in the push for a mid to top table finish

Our time is up, it is only the 1st of July, how will you last till the end of August when silly season officially finishes. Don't believe half of what you read. Sky sports sources mean any blogger, agent , pr guy, Spanish newspaper, in fact anyone they can use to fill their airtime.
