Hey lads, I know that nobody will believe me but its 100% true so I'm going to post it. Was at Glastonbury & no lie I was stood behind Wayne Rooney watching Dizzee Rascal perform. Built up the courage to ask him "When you signing for Arsenal?" To which he replied "I'm going nowhere pal". I expect a lot of doubters but I do have photo evidence of the man himself & I know myself what was said so just passing it on.

Believable68 Unbelievable80

No idea why you think we would doubt you mate, none of us were confident of signing Rooney anyway it's all agent/paper talk.

Agree24 Disagree3

Post the picture, then.

Agree19 Disagree2

If you have pics, then by all means share them in the 'sightings' section. If not then.

Agree14 Disagree1

" Built up the courage" to ask a brainless monkey a simple question at a music festival, when I presume if you are a person of any worth, you were half smashed, and wouldn't have given a toss about asking him, in fact most football fans in the festival mood would have reminded him about his inadequate thyroid gland and penchant for elderly ladies. Utter codswallop!

Agree18 Disagree3

Thank the Lord!

Agree8 Disagree1

Easily the most believable piece of information I've seen on here in a long time.

Believable.
But best part about this site is the backing stories people come up with! who knows which ones are real.

Agree7 Disagree1

So multi millionaire's Coleen and Wayne Rooney were mixing it with the regular folk? No security? Despite arriving and leaving by helicopter?

Agree7 Disagree4

Thank god don't want shrek?
come on wenger get them signing done
before we miss out on the best players

Agree6 Disagree1

I am not convinced- not saying it isn't true.

BUT if Rooney feels that way, why hasn't he made it public, or "his people"?

As soon as the story broke about his apparent transfer request, they could've simply denied it and said the usual stuff of how happy and committed he is at utd, etc.

In fact that could happen at anytime- the longer its dragged on, for me the more legs it has about him being at least 50/50 about staying at utd.

That's my view.

Agree9 Disagree1

I know none of you will believe this but I am wayne rooney's hair dona, honestly I have pictures and he told me to expect to see him running out at the emirates next season

Agree6 Disagree3

AHAHA hair dona! That's totally cracked me up. Rooney won't come to arsenal as we won't pay his wages otherwise he would. The boys nothing other than a mercenary!

Agree6 Disagree1

Ha Ha is that like Donner Kebab or something. Anyway if I were you I would be having it on my toes as Rooney had to have his barnet re - done again recently so expect a letter from his legal team when they try and sue your ar* e for a refund Ha Ha!

Agree1 Disagree2

Hair Doner crack was the funniest thing I have on here in while. It cracked me up.

As for Rooney, anyone with sense would know he's making a noise as he's been over shadowed by RVP since he arrived.

With Moyes in place he believes he has a better chance of playing instead of coming on from the bench.

Highbury Faithful

Agree0 Disagree5

To Slick Mick

Why wouldn't they want to mix with the regular crowd? If you've ever been to a festival or any gig for that matter, you'd know that one of the best parts is about being in with the crowd soaking up the atmosphere.

Even at a football match, would you rather be in amongst the crowd, or in one of those director boxes with a bunch of suits?

Mike

Agree2 Disagree2

Hi Mike. Have you ever been to a festival, and saw a famous person in the throng of a crowd? At Glastonbury? The most corporate of all festivals? Without security? Okay, a few years back I went to Radio 1's big weekend. Dappy of NDubz fame was there, mixing with the great unwashed. Even that annoying little scrote was flanked by burly security. I'd say Wayne Rooney is above Dappy on the punchability scale, especially if opposing football fans had a few sherberts too many. You think he'd be amongst normal people? Or with the V. I. P's?

Agree3 Disagree0

More chance of us signing Dizzee Rascal

There are photos of Rooney at the festival and he didn't go backstage.

Agree3 Disagree5

Oh, of course. The Daily Mail. The bastion of impartial journalism. That's where I go for my fix of spin free news.

Agree4 Disagree0

Highbury Faithful.

"With Moyes in place he believes he has a better chance of playing instead of coming on from the bench. "

You're joking right? The two men DESPISE each other! Moyes sued Rooney for comments made in his autobiography not long ago.

Agree8 Disagree1

Slick Mick

Haha don't worry I wasn't trying to defend Rooney, just meant to say that it's perfectly plausible that he was in with the crowd.

And yes, I've been to plenty of festivals, I've been going to Leeds and V festival for years and was actually at Glastonbury this year. I've spotted a couple of celebs while there, though admittedly none with the "punchability factor" that Rooney has. Managed to meet Frankie and Rochelle from The Saturdays at Radio One's Big Weekend (although I was working at that one) once!

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

I only believe this because you said it was 100% true.

lots of footballers mix with the regulars. there's pictures of baines all over twitter and online with "regular folk"

Agree0 Disagree0

If you did speak to him surely you would ask a better question then when are you signing for arsenal seems odd it was never going to happen

watford gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm still laughing at "Regular folk".

Sanogo has been signed for free seeing as his Auxerre contract expired on June 30th.

Vito Mannone has been sold to Sunderland for £2million, suggesting we are confident of signing another goalkeeper. Cesar seems to be the number one target, with Arsenal being a target of his also.

Expect make or break news surrounding Higuain within the next 10 days. As I mentioned previously, IF Barca do decide to sell Fabregas, this will be much later into the transfer window.

ASEG.

Believable33 Unbelievable15

What exactly is new or newsworthy about this post. Telling us about Sanogo, Higuian and Cesar adds nothing to what has been in every blog for days.

Agree3 Disagree6

Let the guy post man. not everything needs to be negative. I personally think that arsenal are going to do bugger all, but these sort of posts cheer me up.

fingers crossed.

Agree10 Disagree0

Don't get upset Smartie, I'm pointing out that NOW Mannone has definitely signed for Sunderland, as well as him reiterating his desire to stay in London post-Confederations, it seems as if we're looking more and more likely to get him.

Similarly, nowhere has reported the likelihood of Fabregas signing at the end of the summer, only that he doesn't want to move from Barca.

ASEG.

Agree3 Disagree0

ASEG are you making out that you broke the cesc story.

malaga gooner

Agree3 Disagree5

Mannone hasn't actually physically signed yet if you want to get technical, he hasn't even had a medical yet but he has agreed personal terms

Agree0 Disagree5

Malaga, I never said that I broke the Cesc story. Everyone knows there has been speculation surrounding him and a return to Arsenal. What I am tellin you is that if there are any talks, they will occur at the end of the summer. Given your record, I don't think you're in a position to criticise others' posts.

Higuain will sign this week. Keep the abuse levels low please:)

Believable38 Unbelievable27

I really do hope so Mr Baggins - fingers crossed!

Arsenal will make an final offer for Lars Bender, close to 30 million euros or 25 million pounds. Benders people want to push this through so I expect him to be an arsenal player.

Believable25 Unbelievable52

01 Jul 2013 20:08:49
wenger back at coloney tommorow so expect news then be patient

Believable25 Unbelievable21

Hang on I am confused by this- you are saying wenger is back and to expect news- ok fine, but then to be be patient? So we might be getting news tomorrow and then we have to be patient after getting that news?

Or be patient for tomorrow's news!

Which is it?
Thanks.

Agree5 Disagree1

As posted earlyier arsenal make first sighing I sanago expect more to come

Agree2 Disagree0

But i'm so exciteddddd

Agree4 Disagree0

It said were worried were going to miss out on. higuin now great

Agree1 Disagree0

Arsenal do this every year go in for big names never offer enough money get turned down and end up buying crap but say to the fans we tried our best rubbish I for one am sick of it if we don't spend big this year I selling my season ticket

Agree3 Disagree2

Classic araenal summer. Bid amounts on stars that are never enough so can say we tried and comment on players available that can't get. 3-4 signings at most and bo one over 10mill. Expect couple on final day in desperation bids as start season badly

Agree2 Disagree2

I'll take your season ticket Mr plastic gooner

Agree7 Disagree2

Seriously - why are the spurs on our page

Transfer window has been open 24 hours

A number of clubs have no managers or just joined

To the person who said they would sell their season ticket, you're a person.

Agree0 Disagree0

02 Jul 2013 09:33:59
why is he a plastic gooner if he has a season ticket, his probably sick to the back teeth of the lies as the rest of us, it has happened for to long!

Agree3 Disagree1

Wheres this player that was ment to join as you stated?

Fabregas just bought a house in london showing some indication he might moving to us from barcelona you don't go buy a house for no reason as we are being linked with arsenal to,

Believable20 Unbelievable50

Its for his girlfriend and her kid

Agree10 Disagree0

Interesting! Any proofs?

Agree4 Disagree0

Stupid rumour. No Cesc is not coming. I'd love him to but no. Not happening.

Agree4 Disagree2

01 Jul 2013 20:24:27
As far as I have made out from posts roughly a month ago, his daughter and ex-partner were still living in London and the house was for them. Plus footballers buy houses as an investment for when they retire so don't get your hopes up

Agree2 Disagree0

It would be great, but as others have said its more likely for his girlfriend and child.

in itself it doesn't prove anything, unfortunately.

Agree3 Disagree0

I've heard the same, I thoroughly expect
the return of CESC he must have us in his DNA!

Agree1 Disagree4

There is a huge chance cesc will come back to arsenal but I would be surprised if it was this season, or the next. The house is for his girlfriend and his baby though saying this I'm sure it would be pretty hard not seeing your new born baby and girlfriend often. hmmmm "love changes everything" come to mind

Benjamin gunner

Agree1 Disagree3

Footballers earn sh*t loads of money, of course they're going to have 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 100th homes. I wouldn't read into it at all.

Agree3 Disagree2

The time for us to worry is when Wazza buys a property in London.

Agree4 Disagree3

01 Jul 2013 22:50:36
Cesc also bought one in Spain.

http://www.diariogol.com/es/mobile-viewer.php?IDN=2013_06_33520

Going nowhere.

Agree1 Disagree1

If I was a multi-millionaire and spent 8 years in a city I was fond of, yeah, I'd buy a house. No reason other than that needed. Don't get me wrong I'd love him back, but to read anything into that (if it's true!) would, quite frankly, be personic.
Drumsofdotl

Agree1 Disagree0

I'm with Smartie.
Drumsofdotl

Agree0 Disagree0

If Robbie Fowler had been rumoured to be moving to a team every time he bought a house he would have been playing for every club in the country. He bought property's for investment all over the place I think he had around 400 different houses he rented out. So there's an answer to any rumour like thus.

Agree1 Disagree0

This is his girlfriends house, which he bought for her from her ex husband. So don't read too much into it. Expect him to stay at Barcelona.

Agree1 Disagree0

02 Jul 2013 09:44:56
Also they can visit London on days off, its only 80 quid on easy jet.

A bid for Clement Grenier has been rejected- circa 6mil, plus sell on percentage.

Need to up the bid, if they want him.

With Bender bid (rejected) as well, at least the club is trying to bring some players in.

Believable45 Unbelievable14

I see it is the same trick every year, make a bid you KNOW will never be accepted, then shrug your shoulders and say "we tried". Stop falling for it.

Agree8 Disagree0

I could go out and try to buy a Ferrari by offering the owner the price of a Mini but I won't actually be successful in buying one. Let's face it trying to buy something doesn't mean a thing unless you are offering close to the going rate. Anything else is just going through the motions.

Agree4 Disagree0

Yep same as allways we try haggling rock bottom fees another club comes in pays what the players worth and we buy average player instead

Agree4 Disagree0

£20 million isn't a bad offer if you ask me. I don't think they can expect more than £22 by any stretch.

Chimney sweep josh

Agree1 Disagree1

Why are we showing ambition. low bids for playes so we don't get them, then high bids for players that clubs won't sell.
Its all a well played out game that the average Gooner suffers, I've had enough

Agree1 Disagree0

Stop moaning. I would like to see new signings too but they transfer window hasn't even been officially open for 24 hours.

£19.7m for Bender isn't a silly bid and Grenier only has 12 months left on his contract, so starting at £6m isn't unreasonable given the fact that we could get him for nothing in a year. Lyon will make a lot of noise but they know this too. They are notoriously difficult to negotiate with (ask any Spurs fan what it was like when they spent the whole summer trying to get Loris) but in the end, they will probably sell.

Agree0 Disagree1

You want Wenger to overpay for players like Monaco, Chelsea or ManCity? I think these are very reasonable offers (Bender and Grenier), starting from lower level often makes the price lower.

Agree1 Disagree1

Sensible offers

If we save 3m on one player, it gives us 3m more to compete elsewhere

Don't get the moaning about delays and low bids.

Be patient

SY4

Agree1 Disagree1

I don't believe we made a bid for bender it's just the media speculation yet again as they know arsenal have money to spend but just don't know for sure who they will buy.
At best I we made an enquiry that's all

Benjamin gunner

Agree1 Disagree0

Not saying over pay but decent players cost big bucks and to date are biggest signing is £15mil for arshavin 4 years ago. if we want world class its going to cost us its simple

Agree1 Disagree0

Be patient we charge the highest prices in Europe and not one a thing for 8 years I think we been patient enough

Agree2 Disagree0

01 Jul 2013 12:51:36
A bid for lars bender of 23 million euros has just been rejected. trying to force felaini's hand by accepting lower wages? or actually moving onto another target

Believable39 Unbelievable13

Lars would have cost less than that I would have thought. Sven on the other hand might cost around that figure if Dortmund were prepared to sell at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sven is not a starter if i'm not mistaken.

lars is.

but the bids for grenier and lars prove a few points.

1) we are ready to spend

2) the insane price players cost now a days.

3) or we no longer have the pulling capacity. {Ed027's Note - Both are starters for club, Lars tends to play more for Germany as he can play Rb

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah being reported in the german press-around 20mil bid rejected. They are very reluctant to sell, having lost 2 first team players already and hence don't need the money.

what I like though is the intention, at least we're trying to bring some calibre players into the club.

Agree0 Disagree0

How do you know?

WG

Agree0 Disagree0

Lars is the better of the twins and can play RB as well

Arsenal have now signed Brazillan Goalkeeper Julio Cesar from Championship side Queen Park Rangers for a fee of 3. 0 million dollars which translates to 1. 5M IanDarkeESPN has confirmed the deal on the final match of the confederations cup between Spain 0-3 Brasil. The wages are unknown as of yet

HE seems to be the only one reporting this!

Agree1 Disagree0

'Redknapp confirms he will depart' and 'Arsenal are believed to have opened talks' - those two are not synonymous with 'Arsenal have signed. '

Agree1 Disagree0

If he has signed then why can you still get odds of 4/7 for him. Rumours as usual.

Agree0 Disagree0

01 Jul 2013 00:20:47
