Evening Eds, I read a report today which had me nervous it stated Juve are on the verge of accepting a mammoth bid for Paul Pogba it goes into a lot of detail mentioning the club involved also mentioning that Dybala could be on his way out if an agreement over playing time with that club can be agreed! With this it goes on to say that Juve are close to agreeing deals with Lyon and Arsenal, It goes on even saying Juve are satisfied a deal with us can be agreed due to the player being very open to the idea to a Turin.

Do you know if there is any truth to this or is it to early to say? Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I am aware of what is happening with Pogba but not aware of anything directly related to AFC. The clubs involved about Pogba are not going to be thinking about any deals that may subsequently happen any more than AZ would care about a replacement for Myron Boadu if there was a bid from Arsenal.}

Hi ed; do arsenal have an interest in sofiane boufal? If so have they made any sort of contact or enquiry about his availibility with his club?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Although Sofiane Boufal only moved to Lille in January 2015, bids from Spurs, Arsenal and Manchester City are expected in 2016 - the issue being is that he is recovering from an operation intended to address a recurring injury issue. PSG and Monaco have both had the player watched regularly and PSG, Barcelona and Chelsea have spoken with Lille to see if some sort of deal may be possible. Roma, Inter, Manchester United and Lyon have also had the player watched this season.}

So he is injured? Must be Arsenal bound then lol.

Dear Ed002 can you please confirm to me if Arsenal are interested in Lacazette please, gutted that you no longer give us a breakdown on players, a few have spoiled it for all.

Believable2 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Interest in Lyon's Lacazette from Newcastle and Inter (who would struggle to fund a move) has long gone. Additionally, whilst Guy Hillion has continued to extol his virtues but there is no support whatesoever from the folks in London for a bid at this time - so prior interest of Chelsea has gone. Barcelona, Juventus and Spurs have also recently had him watched but Barcelona has another solution in mind and will not be following up, Juventus have taken it no further but are expected to return with an offer after losing out on another player. Spurs have also their sights set on someone else.

West Ham enquired after Lacazette's availability and are certainly interested as long as his wage demands are not too high - as they will have the money for transfers but are very much constrained over wages. West Ham have made it clear that they will what they see is a very good fee but will not over pay on the transfer - but Lyon will look for at least €10M more for a sale to an English side as they know what they can expect from elsewhere. Regardless of that, West Ham has submitted two offers for Lacazette - both rejected.

He is not first or second choise for PSG but they could potentially turn to him. Lyon are very difficult to negotiate with and they may well see an Gallic shrug in response to any initial bids. Lacazette wants English money and Champions League or Juventus, but two French players who have played in England are providing advice that it is not essential immediately. If a price can be agreed, then West Ham has the opportunity to complete the transfer unless another English side with Champions League on offer steps in. Arsenal may turn to him if they cannot get their preferred choices - but may baulk at the money. Lacazette certainly remains of interest to Atletico Madrid and don't rule out them putting an offer on the table.}

Cool, THX Ed.

Our striker situation is very unsettling at the moment, nice to know we have a fallback position.

well if lacazette is not our preferred option, i assume he should be.

with Morata likely to move to chelsea and higuain to PSG, unless Asano is our primary target i don't see how we can compete with other teams.

read on the chelsea forum that Morata is a target after them almost confirming the belgian michi batchuyashi. so a good 100 mill or whatever on 2 strikers and we are still unable to find one?

seems like that year when we got all desperate and ended up with mert, santos and chamakh all over again.

atleast we got Xhaka so one signing a year maybe what we are able to do.

not sure sanchez and ozil will stick around if we finish 4th this season.

Still early days laker. Just got to be calm I'm sure they're working hard. Do we as fans really want us to overpay? I know it's not our money but I don't personally.

nice feedback from Ed002 as usual!
I sincerely hope we are focusing on Barbosa or, dare I say it, Benzema!
Got to agree with some of the above comments, our striker situation does not inspire any confidence as we get closer to the new season. We need to be more ruthless in the transfer market.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There will always be some nervousness about Barbosa - who will be going to the Olympics - in that it is a major move for him culturally and football wise. Real Madrid might say otherwise but they would be more than happy to move Benzema on this summer although the player is keen to stay. PSG continue to look for a high-profile French signing - and Benzema is one of the options if the off-field issues he has to deal with can be overcome. However, the powers that have influence at PSG have other targets in mind and do not see his being French as being of any consequence and I would, at this time, discount a bid. Milan has spoken directly to Madrid about another player but have said that Benzema is not a player they can look to any longer - and with a change of manager coming I suspect they can be discounted. There may also be interest from English clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United. Right now there have been no approaches by either club and Arsenal have clearly defined targets they are working on already. I would not discount Arsenal from making an approach but other matters need to be clearer before that would happen. Manchester United are headed in a different direction.}
