Just read Claudio Yacob, the Argie def mid, left his club and is a free agent who can move to Europe immediately.

This means he likely goes to Benfica, considering he'd need a permit to come to us or go to Man Utd.

He does have caps however, so maybe it would work? Would be a nice boost and solid backup to Song.

Just talked to an Argentinian journalist, apparently this is not true. He was named in the squad for Racing's next game, although it is highly doubtful he'll play.

I see, thanks for the update. I read that he quit the club and it sounded absurd, but you never know with the antics of some players down there

podolski, gotze, hazard one of them is defo on their way to arsenal, arsenal are already assessing a few players for the coming transfer and are ready to do their business sooner rather than later...

last summer we had a bad transer window so this time round we will be doing business earlier and more efficient...

my tag on here will be "real-goon" do not forget that i will be uploading information as it arrives...
javier perez and much much more updates...

Would hope you are correct, but I think we have missed the boat, with the euros this summer. Never a good transfer window when a major tournament is happening, particularly as many potential targets will be on display for the richer clubs to pick off, just look at the German team from the last World Cup.

Who else is thinking that Podolski is RVP's replacement. They are quite similar.

D-Dot

Believable13 Unbelievable41

Not at all, completely different roles and levels of quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't think the 2 are fully mutually exclusive...

Podolski is a long-term target. If RVP decides to leave he will inadvertantly become a replacement.

Billybob452

Agree0 Disagree0

No way its a signing like podolski that will help rvp to sign a new contract! & they are going to be lethal
-Homesick-

Agree0 Disagree0

We didnt sign players to keep cesc or nasri, why rvp ? podolski comes, rvp leaves, that would be my opinion on it aswell.

Agree0 Disagree0

Podolski / Van Persie - Similar??

Lol the only similarity is that they are both footballers :) How do you mean similar? I don't think they are similar players, Van Persie is a far better all round footballer not to mention scores vast amounts more goals.

I doubt we would sign him, he isn't really good enough to replace anybody; perhaps he could work as a second striker or something...

Apparently there is some truth to the Podolski rumours... but the deal is far from done and dusted.

His agents are checking around Europe for other potential interested parties (Italy apparently).

In terms of what this means for the team; wenger typically works on a one-out / one-in policy.

Our probably 'outs' are:
Arshavin
Park

So I believe our 'ins' will be:
Podolski
Miyachi

If Chamakh goes as well, I suspect the last striker coming in will be Joel Campbell.

In midfield the outs are:
Yossi
Diaby?

Which means we may see 1 more creative midfielder coming in:

Hazard
Gotze
Diego
Martin
Belhanda
Gourcuff
etc....

Who knows, but the squad for next year is looking very very promising. Let's get behind the team and secure 4th place!

Who is going to buy diaby and match his 70,000 a week pay, no one thats who, waste of time and money

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a heads up miyachi already plays for us duh

Agree0 Disagree0

Diaby is done. He is injury probe.
Miyachi is on loan to Bolton.

Dint forget we have wilshere on the way back!

Agree0 Disagree0

No-one appears to notice we stopped the "1 in, 1 out" policy last Summer...

Arshavin is already "out". Zenit are paying all his wages and gave us £1m up front for him.

Park is going for National Service in 2014 so there's no way he'll be an "out" for us.

Miyaichi already plays for Arsenal Football Club so will not be an "in" for us.

Almunia has already gone seeing as we De-Registered him for the Premier League on Jan 31st and his contract runs out in the Summer.

Denilson, Diaby, Vela all look to be on their way out as well as Bendtner and Chamakh.

We will also have Joel Campbell coming back from his loan spell at Lorient in the Summer...

As far as Podolski goes. His agent isn't looking anywhere else, specifically not Italy... If Lukas is going to play anywhere outside of Germany that wasn't England it would be The Netherlands or Spain - This has already been discussed... All that needs doing for this to happen now, is for Arsenal and Koln to come to a fee agreement.

=M.A.

Agree0 Disagree0

I believe that Diaby may have until the pre-season, but Wenger may be forced to take a view by August.

As for his wages - I think that he will have to accept reduced wages. Perhaps we can find a french club to take a gamble on loaning him...

As for Miyachi - this will be a classic "like a new player" situation.

Hi Miss Arsenal. Will take your word for it on Podolski... I was told the agent was shopping him around - but I guess I am wrong here.

For Joel Campbell, has he had enough international caps to qualify for a work permit now?

But clearly, it is shaping up to be a very active summer for us.
