Yann M'Vila to sign in January for £5m plus Diaby, Stade Rennais were unsure of the move at first due to his recurring injury problems, however it is understood M'villa wants CL footballand has asked for a move. He sign along with Thierry Henry on a 3 MONTH loan deal. NO new striker will be brought in, however a new LB will with talk of Jetro Willems and a RB as unfortunately Sagna will be sold to PSG for £10.5m

first of all arsene will not allow diaby to go he loves this guy, i have also heard that sanga will stay so i dont know about that. jetro willems dosent seem likely as we have two. agree with henry coming back but mabey as a buy not a loan but disagree with the fact that there will be no other strikers as i have heard demba ba will come in.

Sure that Jetro is a Left Back and although we do have 2 Santos is an obvious candidate for the chop.

Not sure that Diaby would actually be attractive to most teams due to his injury problems although not beyond the realms of possiblity us going in for him though to be fair.

Arsenal to move for Stewart Downing in Jan.

2 more press outlets this week have reported that Arsenal and Middlesborough want Downing, after the player was told by Liverpool he can leave for £10 million in January.

Continued stream of reporting from 2011 has confirmed Wengers interest in the winger. Wenger sees him as the signing to appease the fans and long term doubters.

Middlesborough admit they can't afford the wages, leaving Arsenal as the clear favourites. Would clear the way for Walcott to leave for Juventus

Whether this is true or not, fans need to read the Beacher report on Downing. Downing would be a good signing, regardless what fans think - who would trust most fans anyway?

Why should we be surprised? Wenger is on record today saying that he doesn't really care what anyone thinks. Too much evidence is out there about Wenger wanting Downing. Perhaps we are being unfair on Downing. Talented player, good possession. Might fit in well

Why would we need to read a report on Downing, we all know he has struggled for form and seems to shy away under pressure of a big club

What a load of rubbish this post is. Downing! who cant even get in an average Liverpool side. No pace. No vision. Not on this earth.

Good passer, good crosser of the ball and keeps possession ..... Sounds like the right player for Wenger and for Arsenal. Much under-rated player, especially by half-witted football fans with a chav like desire for expensive bling transfers.
Would like to see Downing play for us, reminds me a little of Brady but I would also like to see Downing sign, if only to wind-up those people who don't understand how much we owe Arsene

Ed - How likely is it that Mr. Wenger will buy anyone already playing in the prem come January? Correct me if I'm wrong, but I don't think he does that, does he?

Wenger has bought players from the prem, arteta for one.

I think we will sign luke shaw at best.

We can all dream of a cheeky loan for David Villa, but it would be similar to the Nuri Sahin situation...

We will leave that one to liverpool/tottenham.

Good point, Arteta was one, and a great purchase at that, but what I meant was, he doesn't do it that often, it's usually as of late the championship, ligue 1 or some other european league, and I wonder why, as there are many good players plying their trade at rival prem clubs who could do a job for us I think.

Arteta comes to mine as the last player Wenger brought from a prem club!
