There is a rumour that Arsenal will make bids on both Mario Goetze and Mats Hummels.

Believable62 Unbelievable35

Haha we could bid 40m each and i'm 99% sure those 2 players wouldn't leave Dortmund for us. Atm its a step down for them.

Agree4 Disagree0

I do hope so. I can dream Wenger gets the cheque book out.

Nubster

Agree2 Disagree0

And it will stay a rumour.

we know, if you checked page there's about 30 people saying same rumour. try looking at posts

Agree0 Disagree0

Ha that is hilarious.

Agree0 Disagree0

How can people say they disagree with this comment, there is a "rumour" that the two will come to us, doesn't mean they will, but the fact is it is a rumour.

Agree0 Disagree3

We need to spend £200m to improve this total load of rubbish - or spend none and get rid of Wenger. No more excuses, we are just crap and there is absolutely no hope of European Football next season!! I fear for the worst when we play Bayern we will get slaughtered home and away.

Agree1 Disagree0

Would be surprised if these two players agreed to the move.

Agree0 Disagree0

This a caught offside rumour, so it has no truth whatsoever

Agree0 Disagree0

Gotze has said he would leave Dortmund for Barcelona or arsenal! So fingers crossed!

There is talk arsenal want Gonzalo Higuain from real madrid fee to be around 25 million, I sure myself arsenal are in the market for a big striker.

Believable37 Unbelievable51

Let's get serious for a second. Why would Arsene try to sign a striker when we've got Giroud? After all Arsene said that he chose Giroud over Demba Ba. In Wenger we RUST

Agree2 Disagree0

Cant see that happening!!

Agree1 Disagree1

20 Jan 2013 16:54:18
Yeh - I heard Higuain was on the look out for a serious pay cut and Europa league football - behave.

Agree1 Disagree0

We know wenger won't buy big players but we need to break the bank and buy an out and out striker otherwise we are in big trouble.

L'Equipe claim Gourcuff has been offered to clubs in England Spain and Turkey with Arsenal set to make an offer this will only be a loan deal, we live in hope

Bryan

Believable23 Unbelievable39

Why live in hope for a player that has been at best mediocre the last seasons?

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2013 16:39:09
Gourcuff is lazy, has a poor attitude and is way off form. Wouldn't touch him with yours.

Agree0 Disagree0

He used to have all the potential in the world, but as stated above the guys career has been in a death spin for awhile now.

I'd rather see Eisfield promoted. {Ed002's Note - He has really struggled with injury.}

arsenal to go for Borussia Dortmund pair Mario Gotze and Mats Hummels which will relieve us of 55m (the 30m bid was for mario therefore Hummels will cost 25m)
Arsenalboii46

Believable35 Unbelievable49

I really really hope so...
We need a winger with some creativity and not a headless chicken (gervinho)
The defence needs numbers..

Agree1 Disagree1

People seriously need to stop looking on caught offside 99.9% of their stories are a load of rubbish.

20 Jan 2013 14:01:39
Finish the sentence please. Dortmund want to sell us their best players because ....

Agree1 Disagree0

Not in a million years. That would mean we are ambitious. And we all know that is clearly not the case. Check out Tony Adams interview on . He puts it perfectly.

Agree1 Disagree0

No chance.

Agree0 Disagree0

Keep taking the tablets the voices will stop trust me

Agree0 Disagree0

This will never happen not while arsen is in charge, he struggles to spend over 10 mill on a player so he won't spend 55mill on 2

Agree0 Disagree0

Also going to sign ronaldo messi rooney ans hart

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol would be a dream..

Florian Thauvin and a late bid for adaptable m'biwa will be our only signings this window.

Baz136.

Believable19 Unbelievable37

I love your positivity on this page

dave

Agree0 Disagree0

I was under the impression that Newcastle had agreed a fee for Yanga M'biwa

Agree0 Disagree0

They have but that doesn't mean he has agreed terms. And from what I have seen Thauvin is just as good as Lopez and is also left footed.

If you think about it it all adds up, goetze saying he'd only play for arsenal or barca, most papers saying we'd attemp to sign him in this transfer window a few months ago, having a reported release clause of 30m, us bidding 30m for an unknown player... Mario's an arsenal player.
CheetahChaz97 {Ed002's Note - I would not hold your breath.}

Believable31 Unbelievable56

Goetze said his favourite clubs other than Dortmund were Arsenal and Barca. It also was quite a while ago. By now he wouldn´t even think about leaving Dortmund. And why would he? He absolutely loves his coach (rightfully so), he plays with his two best friends (Reus and Sahin) and his team has soundly beaten City and Real in the CL and is well on its way to even bigger things, because it features world class players: Hummels at the back for one, and there might not be a better strike force in all of football right now than the combination of Reus, Lewandowski and Goetze. If you haven´t seen them play, take the time to do so. You will be amazed. Dream about someone else. He won´t be found in the middle of that mess that our Arsenal has turned into anytime soon.

Agree1 Disagree0

Do you honestly believe that to be true Cheetah? Seriously...

I feel we are really missing out on Mbiwa.

Its not often a good defender who is tailor made for this league becomes so easily available.
7m for a defender who has all of the attributes our defenders posses together.

Especially since Djourou and Squilacci seem to be leaving. We have three OK-good centre halves, but two of them seem more like plan be types of options with LK6's pace and PM4's height. Mbiwa has both of those at those particular aspects of the game.

Believable47 Unbelievable12

He does not have the height of PM4, he is 6ft about the same as LK6 and TV5

Agree0 Disagree0

20 Jan 2013 12:29:15
By that I obviously meant he has the arial ability. We all know he is not 6 foot 5.

Were you just posting for the sake of contradicting someone?

Agree0 Disagree0

3 "OK"? centre backs? Vermaelen is "OK"? The German captain, Per Mertesacker is "OK"?

Agree0 Disagree0

^ yes they are ok! Terry, Ferdinand Vidic, Agger, Cahill, all much better defenders, can't be bothered to post more names.

We need to stop thinking that because they play for us there the best defenders since sliced bread.

(can't wait for the abuse on this one lol)

Dubz

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree with the comment above, we have 3 quality centre back in pm, tv and lk

Agree0 Disagree0

PM4, too slow to catch a cold. This guy was quality in both games against us, once as a centre half, once as a DM. Really hope we can get him.

Pull your finger out AW. MBiwa is exactly the player we need and you are letting him go to a side who are currently in a relegation battle and he is only going for 6.7 million.

Also don't know of anyone else has seen the papers today which are suggesting that PSG want Wenger and will offer a deal totalling 30 million in all for him. With Ancelotti coming our way.
I was just wondering what people thought about it and who would replace AW

Snowed In Gooner

Believable24 Unbelievable31

Well if it's in todays papers, it must be true!

Agree1 Disagree0

Aaah the world famous 'manager swap'. You have Wenger we'll take Ancelotti

Happens all the time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not Ancelotti anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

Nothing wrong with Ancelotti

Agree0 Disagree0

Ancelotti would never be a good manager at Arsenal, never worked on a budget and never had to build a team from scratch

Agree0 Disagree0

Michael Laudrup, will be our next manager. Has the Arsenal style philosophy

Agree0 Disagree0

Roberto Martinez will be the next manager of Arsenal.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the laudrup poster. Good call for laudrup! But what is the arsenal way? Win nothing for years and battling for 4th? We used to play great football. We don't Anymore!

Agree1 Disagree0

For me.. Wenger stays. Arsenal are linked to just about every footballer that has a name, but I really think the best signing we can make right now is David Dein. Wenger's lost his mojo a bit and I think he's tried to take on too much. Dein proved successful for us in our transfere dealings on the past and I think it's time to bring him back

Agree2 Disagree0

Just a thought, but could it be possible - Wenger knows he might go and therefore is not interested in signing any good players for us, as we seem to be missing out big time

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger won't leave Arsenal for another club.

Agree0 Disagree0

About the David Dein thing, hell yeh!
His son seems to be one of the big agents. We need him on board.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you want a manager who can build a team on a budget and still get results then surely David Moyes is our man? Worked wonders at everton this season..

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunately Wenger's going nowhere. Thanks to an owner and board of directors who couldn't care less about footballing matters as long as the cash continues to roll in, the man's got a job for life. Even when we fail to qualify for the CL this season they won't sack him. Be interesting to see what happens once reality hits home, the season ticket renewals dry up, the prawnies in club level stop forking out and we're playing to a half-empty stadium every other week with no CL TV money coming in.

Agree0 Disagree0

AW will not leave arsenal

Hi ed, friend of mine who is an arsenal fan and works at heathrow saw arsene in terminal 4, at heathrow, on Thursday. He wasn't plane spotting or doing a bit of mini cabbing to supplement his income, but he was definately there. This is no b/s, but to quote rafa "fact". Sounds like arsene may be doing a bit of schmoozing on a potential target, trust he was there. Del monte
