Arsenal Rumours
Not sure how real this deal is, but have heard a rumour that Arsenal have enquired about Rangers Goalie Allan McGregor, with a fee of £7million being quoted and since he is Scottish he falls into the new FA Home rule

I am not an arsenal fan or a rangers fan so this rumour I don't care about, but I have heard this a few times in Glasgow the last few days.

re-occurrence of shoulder injury putting wenger off a little now, so expect to see the 2 from ajax for combined 16m fee and suallichi (spelling) for 5.5m though of course it will be the usual un-disclosed fee

Wenger is only going to sign a gk and defender. there will be no melo, honda etc. i have lost all faith in wenger's transfer policy.

press believable if you have to.

Melo ~ Is highly likely as he was seen by a reliable friend of mine ( a gooness) in the same North London restaurant (close to Wenger's Totteridge home), as Wenger, with his agent, on the Sunday night of the weekend of the Emirates Cup. They were on different tables, but the agent moved between the tables & Wenger asked to be placed in a discrete table. Melo was chatting to a waitress in Italian.
Wenger is clearly after a keeper, either Schwarzer if a deal can be reached or Stelenberg. Interestingly Schwarzer isn't playing again this week, due to a mysterious back injury. I have a feeling £3m will clinch the deal, with Given possibly going on loan to Fulham. Failing which he will quickly switch to the Ajax keeper.
Centre back ~ Squillaci is likely to be signed.

I seriously think given is gonna sign for arsenal but might not be till deadline day man city will play hard ball but i belive they will give in seeing as we have a good record with them regardin transfers(toure & adebayor) i also think wenger will bring in 1 known cb and maybe another that no1 has herd of and dat will be it a CDM might come in january depending on how things are going and maybe a player with abit of flair? just my personal thoughts

Arsène Wenger has left the door open for more than one signing before the transfer window slams shut.

The Arsenal manager started the summer by snapping up Moroccan striker Marouane Chamakh and French defender Laurent Koscielny but he is still in the market for players before the deadline passes on September 1.

At his pre-match press conference on Friday, Wenger admitted that he was "short numbers-wise" when it came to centre backs while the Frenchman has also been linked with a move for a new goalkeeper.

It would be a surprise if Wenger does not have one new signing to unveil before the start of next month and he is not ruling out the possibility of more.

"It depends on the opportunities, " he said.

"It is difficult for me to say 'I don't buy anybody any more' and it is difficult to say 'I will bring two or three more players' if I am not on the verge of signing anyone

Bring back David Dein. Maybe a few transfers will get sorted out rather than all this piffing about! Sort it out Arsenal!
