Welcome to arsenal David villa and yann m villa.
these are the targets and they will sign this week, well done Mr Wenger.
Preston Gooner.

Believable27 Unbelievable38

Haha I admire your confidence

Agree2 Disagree0

Rubbish

Agree1 Disagree0

I wish Mvila would just sign for someone this has been doing the rounds for far to long.

Agree1 Disagree0

I would have thought that there are a lot of better players in that position than m'vila. mbiwa didn't turn up for his medical which is interesting as he would be perfect cover for rb as well.

dave

Agree0 Disagree0

M'Vila is going to Russia because no prem clubs actually want him enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dream on.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Jan 2013 09:58:39
i must say your a truly inspirational arsenal fan

Agree0 Disagree0

M'Vila will be a QPR player by the end of the week. Along with Sissoko and Kranjcar. Either Hangelande or Olson to follow the week after. Wenger should have been quicker if he wanted M'Vila instead of wasting his time trying to get Walcott to sign on.

Agree0 Disagree0

David Villa dosnt fit wengers code for a signing, i'm not saying he follows his code 100% of the time but its not like him to sign a player of his caliber and experiance so late is his career, and for Mvila, he's the balotelli of the french league and in wengers experiance I can't see him sighing the next cocky youngster with more attitude then ability i'm certain this will not happen

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsene Wenger will be leaving at the end of the season to take up the Real Madrid job, Mourhino is going to Chelsea and Roberto Martinez is on his way to Arsenal.

Believable15 Unbelievable41

I really can't see that happening!

Agree1 Disagree0

Mr. Wenger I already called the taxi!
not Martinez though, maybe Landrup!

Ash

Agree0 Disagree1

His name is Laudrup..

Agree1 Disagree0

Arsene is the man for Arsenal he just hasn't got the money to spend on players the majority of fans thinks he has.

Agree0 Disagree2

Could see Wenger leaving for PSG. Could see Mourinho back at Chelsea. Martinez at the Arsenal....no way......it's got to be Moyes if Wenger goes.

Agree2 Disagree0

22 Jan 2013 08:57:26
I hope Wenger sorts arsenal out for his and our sake. if not we would need someone with champ league experience.

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely it has to be Laudrup if Arsene goes, success with smallish clubs in Spain and England, both play simiar to the Arsenal way.

Agree0 Disagree0

And with eds comment about big changes at arsenal I think AW might be going upstairs. anyhow something needs to happen cosas it stands your doing a liverpool

dave

Agree0 Disagree0

Moyes? excellent candidate for us actually (can definitely work on a budget) but it just seems to me like he's destined for man united for some reason (just my personal feeling).
I would think considering our recent history it would more possibly a foreigner in the mould of Martinez or Laudrup (style of play) though I believe both of them to be not experienced enough to take up the Arsenal.
The board might also take someone from outside the Premiership and surprise us all.
People who would "fit" our club's style I feel potentially are either one of two French managers - Blanc/Deschamps (though played in man united and chelsea respectively) or one of two Germans - Klinsmann/Loew. Any thoughts fellow Gunners?

Agree0 Disagree0

If Wenger does leave, why not go for Nigel Atkins. He's young, always optimisic and looks at the positives. Might not be everyones choise but all my saint fans say he got crap players playing very well and getting a team playing as a team and together. Might be worth a interveiw.

Dan the gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsene will move to the board, our next manager will be someone like Moyles or Martinez someone with a proven record of getting ok performances from bellow standard players on very low wages while trying to keep above the relegation zone or battling for Europa league spots as that's where we are headed people, bean counters upstairs don't want trophies, they want income and profit, they don't want glory, they want to get rich(er)

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed01 did state that he believed Wenger was off to Real Madrid(or so he thinks at the end of the season) and that is probably why we are not spending money.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope you are all wrong and wenger stays ... he is a true legend and if anyone can succeed at the club with the board the way it is ... its Wenger

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought magic mushrooms were out of season at the moment!

Agree0 Disagree0

I do hope we don't get Moyles. Knows nothing about football and would be pre-occupied with boozing and schmoozing with the Chris Evans, Danny Baker, James Corden, Guy Ritchie crowd etc.

ClockEndClockEndGiveUsaWave

Agree0 Disagree0

This is complete rubbish, Wenger always honors his contract and Wenger is better than Martinez.

arsene wenger said there will be nomore players leaving without bringing someone in, well it is being reported coquelin is going to betis maybe we will be gettin a new def mid, fingers crossed!

ty.1

Believable20 Unbelievable23

My monies on Wanyama. But would also take Diame. I'm told we do very little defensive training so even with top players we will lack organisation to be defensively consistent.

Agree2 Disagree0

Wanyama hopefully!

I see Sneider has finally joined the Turks, surely we could financially out muscled them if we any ambition. We could really do with someone of his quality and stature but the board and wenger have other thoughts. Really do believe a marquee signing would lift the squad and the long suffering fans.

Agree1 Disagree0

Yes the new man is called Frimpong.

Agree0 Disagree1

Knowing Wenger he'll count Theo as a new signing.

Agree0 Disagree0

To let him go would be a mistake in my opinion, over the last couple of games he has been one of th better players out there for us and I believe he has a very good future, he quick, strong in the tackle and technically gifted to boot..................so no doubt, yes we will let him go and then watch how he becomes a superstar somewhere else!!

PSG offer wenger job for 30 or 40 million (can't remember what my source said) with Carlo ancilotty (spelling) coming to us although it seems unlikely it could be true BB see also said this but my source said it first

Believable10 Unbelievable51

If I had such a knowledgable source I think I'd try and remember what he said

Agree0 Disagree0

Ketchup or Hp? What a load of codswallop

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol your 'source' didn't say crap. This has been reported now for at LEAST 3 Weeks...

Some people...

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes so, midseason when wenger is trying to get the 4th spot and ancelotti trying to win the league...they are talking of swapping jobs?

who comes up with this crap? how does this crap come about? its not just far fetched, the guy who's said this has got mental problems.

The daily mail being your source.... change sources bro

The silly thing is above poster, you opted to believe this 'info' was related to January...

...Nowhere does it say that.

Wanyama coming as he can play both central defence and defensive midfielder he is a beast 12-15m and we get the next big thing

Believable19 Unbelievable19

I'm sick of next best thing, we either get a dudd, or sell them when they are the nuts. I don't need to mention players

Agree1 Disagree0

He will e the best in the world at his position. Your getting a world beater if you snap him up.

Agree0 Disagree1

Morning my fellow hopefuls !

Well done eds ......... great job here.

I posted some weeks back that I believe the two signings will have to fit Wengers criteria;

1. Relatively cheap for todays market
2. Able to play more than one position as he sees this as value for money - gone are the days when Wenger goes for specialists in one particular position

For this reason I still believe the two signings will have to be as follows in order to please Arsene;

1. Defensive player who can cover maybe CB and CDM - This means its most likely from Wanyama, Mbiwa or Sunzu. It looks like Mbiwa is gone to Newcastle while interest in Sunzu has faded either due to his impending agreement with Reading or perhaps the same work permit issues he faced two years ago - Assuming the above is correct, as is being reported, then it really does narrow it down to Wanyama.

2. Attacking player - Quality and stamina aside (as ridiculous as that sounds !) we have enough bodies for the midfield three. This leave a slight shortage both on the wings and also in the striker department. Again Wenger will try for a utility man ............. when he speaks of "qualities" we all forget that he reagrds this versatility as a quality. I believe he will try for either Lopez or an unknown ...... who knows he may try again for Villa based on the fact that Barca still owe us money. I still think he will sign one such player with Lopez as the most likely. People may say that all has gone quiet on the Lopez front however it is worth noting that there has not been any mention of Lopez going anywhere else ........... does this mean that his only destination will be Arsenal ?

To summarise (sorry for the long post) I still believe it will be Wanyama and Lopez which to be honest would not be bad provided Diaby stays fit.

Agree0 Disagree0

What, so we can sell him too Barcelona or the Manchester loyt! #WengertheSeller

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes not premier league quality

Agree0 Disagree0

He is not premier league quality you say you are actually right he is champions league quality and that's why he won't be joining arsenal he wants to play in the champions league next year unlike Arsenal of course.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jan 2013 20:51:27
Rumours have it arsenal have been offered Gourcuff on loan to free up his 80k a week wages. Also Arsenal are interested in Wanyama 25Million. Other news is that hummels and goetze for a combined fee of 55 million, I think that is highly unlikely.

Ads 995

Believable15 Unbelievable45

Yeah very unlikely...... How about never going to happen!

Agree2 Disagree0

About Gotze I'm sure he will sing next week but Hummels I don't know....but I think David villa will sing tommoro

Agree0 Disagree1

Arsenal want to take Wolves U21's striker McAlinden at the end of the season, an agreement is being discussed that will leave the Northern Irish youngster at Wolves until July, McAlinden who finished top scorer in the U21's league securing Wolves a place in the Elite league, it has been reported that Liverpool and Everton where also interested in a similar deal arrangement. McAlinden recently signed a new 18 month contract with Wolves to avoid a compensation only deal for his club.

Believable20 Unbelievable19

I have seen a few clips of him on YouTube look classy. Came on at the end of the England vs Northern Ireland game a few months ago show on TV and in the 10 mins he was on he made the older striker who he replaced look like a fool. looks like our kind of player for be honest.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well our u21's play Wolves soon so we can go and have a look at him, My friend follows the Chelsea u21, s and has seen him a good few times reckons he is very good skilful, quick and a great left foot, he sores a lot of goals! I agree that he seems like the kind of player we would look at for the future.

21 Jan 2013 17:55:38
Ed, it's really getting frustrating... Do you expect us to sign any CDM, CF & LB this window? {Ed001's Note - I am told there will be some major changes at Arsenal over the coming months. I am not sure what that means though, but I am guessing that it will mean transfer activity will be sparse.}

Believable28 Unbelievable7

Ed001,
So are you suggesting it won't be a change in players but it may be more of a change in management or board level?

I appreciate it if you can't give/haven't got any more information.

Keep up all the good work {Ed001's Note - I haven't got any more information, otherwise I would say more. That would be the obvious thing, to be management or boardroom level changes. Certainly something needs to be done, the club is in a bit of a rut at the mo.}

Agree2 Disagree0

I believe Wenger will be relieve from his duty.
That would be sparse transfer.

Agree1 Disagree0

Wenger going maybe? The club would be reluctant to buy players a new manager might not want. Also Ed, Ed002 said on the United page that he can see Wilshere leaving. Can you see this happening too? Surely it's unlikely given the 5 and a half year contract he's just signed?

Thanks pal

Invincibles49 {Ed001's Note - I am not so sure on that, though I can't see him staying if the club isn't going to compete for trophies. He knows he can walk into most midfields, why would he stay and play for a club whose sole ambition is finishing 4th?? It is not like Le Tissier, when Southampton's sole ambition was staying up because they didn't have the finance to compete. This is a club with a huge income, yet they are not going anywhere with it. Personally, in my opinion, I think Wenger will move on, possibly to Real Madrid.}

Agree1 Disagree0

What type of change ed, that's intriguing ooooohhhh you are a one lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Probably means Wenger taking the Rumored PSG job. Probably would not want to buy players if a new manager is coming in ...

Agree0 Disagree0

I get the feeling you may mean at a higher level than management here.

Board reshuffle? Usmanov? Dein? Please god let this be true.

Before all the "we don't want his type round here" mongers, the fit & proper persons stuff for owners must be for a reason.

Gooooooonnnneeeerrrrs!

Agree1 Disagree0

Ed, does this mean the major changes are to due with the ownership rather than the coaching staff? Everyone saying Wenger going to PSG but is it the case Kroenke selling out to Usmanov or someone else?

Stewart

Agree0 Disagree0

That is bloody huge!

Hackney Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Why won't everyone just admit Wenger is losing it, he can't compete with top managers. The board say he has money, so does wenger, but he doesn't stand it, and if i'm honest I've had enough, and unless ALL fans boycott games until it sorted, nothing will happen.
WENGER OUT! BOARD OUT!
A GOOD MANAGER IN! USMANOV IN!

EJT97

Agree1 Disagree1

Kroenke out and usmanov in hopefully

Agree2 Disagree0

Hi eds, gratis site, can you elaborate ons last post about major changes? {Ed001's Note - I really can't. A couple of people have said the same thing to me now, but none have elaborated on it. It does seem that it must be a planned change though, so that would suggest, though only suggest, it to be a management change.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed please enlighten us. Mayor changes inte squad or the organization, if the latter does it mean Wenger/Gazidis? {Ed001's Note - I really wish I could enlighten you, as it would mean I was enlightened myself!}

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally believe it will be a change in board if anything, but if wenger was to leave ed001 have you any clues who would replace him if he did leave? {Ed001's Note - didn't Wenger get given license to pick his replacement? That would explain why there is talk of changes, if he has spoken to someone, I would assume Grimandi, but that is just my opinion, to mull over options. I don't have a clue who it would be though.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger gets to choose his replacement? God no. He's going to choose somebody cheap and young, it's just his way! My money is on Remi Garde if that really is the case.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jan 2013 17:53:32
Arsenal linked with Victor Wanyama, would he be a good signing?

Believable35 Unbelievable8

In my opinion he would be one of the best signings we could make in that position. He's that good, an absolute beast.
Flybo

Agree1 Disagree0

Would be the perfect addition to our midfield.

The tennaicity, physicality and pace to add a ball-winning element to our midfield that will not only help out defence (and overall team defending) but also speed up our transition from defence to attack.

He's young, athletic, has a real work ethic, and has the required technical level to play at Arsenal. Easily ahead of M'Vila and Capoué in my opinion.

Agree1 Disagree0

He plays for a wee pub team in glasgow this is how we are as bad as we are.we don't need any more crap players.i know celtic need the money.(the papers in scotland are sitting on a big story that will prossibly see an old firm game next season in the third divs)

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely agree with Flybo would be the best signing we could make in that position given the players who are out there available to be bought.

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jan 2013 21:58:51
You keep telling yourself that noname bluenose gooner. He's more than good enough for arsenal and us Celtic fans know he'll be heading for the epl next summer (we hope not before ) . But keep your snide comments for your rm or ff pages. Hail hail. Andymac

Agree0 Disagree0

That third comment is hilarious, wee pub team? Wouldn't expect a 'wee pub team' to get into the last sixteen of the champions league. 'Need the money'? Celtic are in a great financial position and have no need to sell players, but as Lennon said everyone has their price tag and if a good offer comes in they will consider it.

Agree1 Disagree0

Absolutely hilarious, 'wee pub team in glasgow' who 'you know need the money'.

Celtic raked in over 25million from the CL and 6 million for selling Ki. All whilst being debt free and having just signed a new sponsorship deal with Magners AND have 2 money spinning ties against Juve.

Hooper looks like leaving for 7/8 million so yes, you're right. We need the money.

Sorry, I support both Celtic and Arsenal.

But I feel this helps in this situation, as I watch big Vic Wanyama every week and he is pure class. Would suit any team and especially Arsenal down to a tee. 15 million and it would be a steal and that, trust me. This lad can reach the top.

kev88

Agree1 Disagree0

Arsenal and Hibs fan, and although I love Hibs I do realise how bad the SPL is in comparison to the EPL. I've seen Wanyama once live and multiple times on highlights and he really isn't that special, very much over-rated. The fact that he is very young could mean he has the potential to be a decent player, but definitely isn't worth anywhere near the Ł25 mil price tag Celtic have placed on him. If Arsenal do sign him (which I really hope they don't) he wouldn't even make it into the first team at them moment and we really need signings that will have immediate effect.

Edinburgh Gooner.

david villa wants to stay at barca .wenger should go out and get llorente.try and sighn valdes as well.

Believable8 Unbelievable30

Llorente looks as though he's joining Juventus and Valdes is an absolutely shocking goalkeeper.

Agree2 Disagree0

How can David Villa want to stay at Barca when Spanish sources are saying he handed in a transfer request?

Agree2 Disagree0

David Villa wants to leave Barca not stay.

Agree0 Disagree0

David Villa has asked to leave because of a lack of playing time seek for full story. He wants Tito to accept this and let him leave this transfer window.

Agree0 Disagree0

Villa will stay at barca valdes would be better than the donkey we have in goal now

Llorente is exactly the same style striker as giroud signing him would make no sense

Lyon have confirmed duo Michel Bastos and Lisandro Lopez are of interest to Premier League clubs.

Neither fit the 'world class' bill that Wenger has spoken about, but...

a) Bastos is a damn site better than Andre Santos and plays anywhere down the left.

and b) We need more depth in the striking department and there are a lot worse options out there than Lopez.

Real Betis interested in securing a loan move for Coquelin. If this happens surely its time to get excited and expect a established CDM?

Bradders

Believable11 Unbelievable19

I think coquelin has been very good the last couple of matches. Defo wouldn't loan him considering diaby is chocolate and frimpong is really our only other recognised CDM. Next thing the deal for your "established CDM" falls through and we are in worse trouble than we already find ourselves in.

Jaiza1888

Agree1 Disagree0

Coquelin has huge potential which he showed last season before his injury and finally again in the last 2 matches.

I hope this loan rumour isn't true because he has a lot to contribute now. I really believe he is our long term defensive midfielder/deep lying midfielder as his intelligence and precision in yesterday's loss shows he has the ability. Can't wait to see more of him.

Agree0 Disagree0

21 Jan 2013 14:15:59
Just read that coquelin is on his way to real betis. Not sure if its a loan deal. I think we should hang on to him.

Believable17 Unbelievable24

Agreed mate. Hope this isn't true. Not saying he's the greatest in the world, but he's the nearest thing to a holding midfielder we've got. If he is off, it's even more vital we invest in the world class holding midfielder we've been missing since Vieira left.

Agree0 Disagree0

He has potential but looks like he's not ready for premiership yet (he looked shocking against chelsea in my opinion). hope its a loan tho

Agree1 Disagree1

If he is on his way it will be a loan - and would also mean we have another DM coming in.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thats ridiculous if true.

Agree0 Disagree0

Villa has said he wants to stay at barca.why doesn't wenger go for llorente instead.

Agree1 Disagree0

He looked "shocking" against Chelsea? What match did you watch? I thought he lacked fitness a bit but was very intelligent, aware, and good with his passing.

Agree0 Disagree0

I think Gilberto was a good cdm who every1 overlooks. Who know we might get flamini back

Agree0 Disagree0

It would be a loan if was to happen, arsene is obviously signing someone for his position which is why his loaning out to save cash

Agree0 Disagree0

If he is going to Betis then there is a chance we could be getting Benat, coq would get valuable game experience and Betis get a sweetener in a deal to bring Benat to us

Agree1 Disagree0

21 Jan 2013 13:25:23
There are reports in both Spanish and English newspapers, that David Villa has told Tito Vilanova and other Barcelona officials, that he wants to leave the club this month and could hand in a transfer request. Which could see our interest in him return. Ed do you know anything about this?

Arsenal have given up chase of Mbiwa due to the players reluctance to join Arsenal, mainly due to wage issue.

not sure how true this is...but the wages are a problem.

Lakerville

Believable29 Unbelievable20

Newcastle cannot offer more than us, their wage structure will not allow them to offer more than 60-70 grand same as their captain is reported to be on, loosing faith in the transfer policy at arsenal don't think we will be competing till the full FFP rules come into full effect and knowing the FA+ chelsea + city + sponsors, that this will be a long time

europa league here we come ! matt

He won't sign for newcastle then. They will offer less wages.

Agree0 Disagree0

The players Wenger is looking at bringing in are:
Chellini (long term target, G Rossi (subject to stringent medical and Benzema (which I suspect is the £30m player everybody is talking about.

Schweinsteiger, Giovinco and Di Maria are also players AW is keen on..

Agree1 Disagree0

Chiellini is also out for the next few months and why would any of those leave their current club for Arsenal...?

Not only has Rossi moved on to Fiorentina.

I'll eat a lemon if Benzema moves for Ł30m

Possibly one of the worst "rumours" I have ever seen posted on this site.

Agree0 Disagree1

Rubbish upon rubbish. A simple question. Why did you bother making such boring rubbish up. Do something better with your life, do anything with your life, just don't post rubbish.
Benzema is the world's most boring Arsenal story and has being making the rounds for years, he plays for bloody Real he sn't going to come running for a side destined to play in the Europa cup next year. Chiellini, I assume you mean him, plays for Juve who are going to win the title, so no chance. As others have pointed out Rossi has already gone to Fiorentina about 2 weeks ago, might help to check some facts.

Ed, when do you expect any kind of signing?

The longer this transfer window progresses the less confident I am becoming of us signing anyone. {Ed002's Note - I am not the one to ask any longer. Sorry.}

Believable19 Unbelievable10

Not to be naive or anything but one positive we can take is that Wenger said most business happens in the last week of the transfer window

Agree0 Disagree2

21 Jan 2013 12:03:03
Sorry to say I've given up lending any weight to Wenger's ramblings.

Agree3 Disagree0

Wenger is nothing if not predictable. He will buy nobody and then say something like "we have Diaby and Frimpong coming back from injury which is like two new signings". I don't know what's worse: touting those two as quality acquisitions (especially in the case of the phenomenally poor player that is Diaby), or expecting us to be stupid enough to swallow it. The saga of Walcott's contract was probably a handy sideshow to distract attention from the failure to address the obvious shortcomings of the squad this window.

Agree1 Disagree1

Every transfer window its the same BS from Wenger, money is available, and he goes from "yes we are looking" to buying nobody as "nobody was available". Accept he won't buy, and we won't make Europe next year - it may be the kick up the ar*e that's needed for the board to boot him out

Agree1 Disagree0

Money is not the problem, but wages are. that is no 1 problem, without big wage budget you can kiss good players goodbye.
Cazorla is the exception, that dude is a rare bargain. didn't know this till yesterday, but we had choice in summer between giroud and ba. *facepalm*

policy of arsenal is wenger would rather buy 5 players worth 50 mil pounds total then 1-2 world class players and board is enjoying that policy so they don't need to give big number wages to couple of players.

if 1 guy gets paid way over then the previous highest earner you can expect everyone in team will want a raise and board is terrified of that cause that means less money in their pockets.

In No One I Trust. Why? Wenger has lost his magic touch and is stubborn in his old days hoping something will turn around and board is here only for their self interest.

Dont expect anything good in next couple of years unless both are gone.

Ty Wenger, youve done all you could.
You are an arsenal legend but its time to go.
Board-got nothing good to say about you.

Various newspapers in England suggest, that : Arsenal are weighing up a last-minute move for Montpellier defender Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa - despite Newcastle having already agreed a fee for the 23-year-old France international.

+ New interesst in Wanayma!:)

Finger's crossed!:) These two would boost our defense immensively!:D

Mbiwa looking very unlikely as he's having a medical at Newcastle today.

Unfortunately I think Wenger is too respectful and will not do a QPR for Mbiwa. I think Wenger also does not like to sign 1st team players from other premiership teams as well out of respect hence the reason no offers for Fellaini has been made. We will sign no "EXCEPTIONAL" players in january.

Told you guys YOUR WENGER will not sign any players exceptional or not ....

I think you might find that Wenger signed Arteta from the SAME team and he even had to put in a transfer request when they tried to reject the bid!!

Not saying we're getting Fellani but your reasoning doesn't stand up mate! Lol

As you said yourself the player put in a transfer request to get a move, we did not try to rock the boat. However I had forgot about Arteta and cannot really think of many if any others. Also to be honest Arteta hasn't done much for us whereas Fellaini could save us.

Well according to the times online, we're trying to 'hijack' the M'Vila deal, we're also looking at Thauvin and we're considering Gourcuff on loan.

This pisses me off. There are better out there than M'Vila, and what Wenger fails to understand is that we all know that. He has this attitude that we fans are totally ignorant to players and their quality before they arrive...he has shown us this time and time again. He thinks we are not aware of a player until Wenger starts talking about him. Chances are if they're good enough, we'll have heard about them.

Gourcuff - well, I watched him the other day. He certainly hasn't given up. He was the engine in a very average Lyon side, it was a crap game, he was the one trying to make things happen in the same way Belhanda does, he wasn't outstanding but he wasn't bad. He got taken off and everyone was surprised. Glimpses of talent, definitely not EPL top 4 talent on that showing. Certainly wouldn't improve our first team so I'm not sure what the point of signing him would be. And if it's a loan, well, that is just a temporary fix but we all know in the summer the fans will be saying 'we only loaned him while Wenger prepares to sign the guy he wants in the summer' and we won't sign anyone haha.

Thauvin, I know nothing about and really don't care. All I know is he plays for Bastia in the french league and is 19. I fail to see how there aren't more impressive youngsters elsewhere in the world. That said, it could be one of those random gems - I just don't have that faith in Wenger though.

In all honesty I just get bored with Wenger shopping in France. It's delusional to think the only league worth buying from is the French league - in fact apart from a bout 5 players, including Belhanda, Capoue, M'Vila and that mountainous left back, the only players worth buying from France are the ones at PSG who cost a fortune.

So unless we're signing Capoue and Isco I don't want to hear about another French player we're considering buying in 10 years time.

I want to know that in for Munain, players like that. The Michu of this year...someone creeping under the radar but doing very well. FYI - Wenger knew about Michu. Thought he wasn't good enough as a back up, for £2m.

You know what? I am so glad we never signed Michu because a player like that deserves to play and he wouldn't be playing here, he'd be on the bench at best.

{Ed002's Note - I really don't see Arsenal "hijacking" any deal for M'Vila - and I expect M'Vila's transfer to be completed in the next 48 hours - QPR may try to "hijack" it.}

I would doubt any of these deals except Thauvin. He is a talent for the future, so why not. Honestly I think Wenger will go for A GOOD dm. Diame, Gustavo or Wanyama. And there will definately be a new striker at thze emirates by deadline day. I would suggest, that it is Adrian, though I still hope for someone of the calibre of Cavani. And I think Wenger has something up his sleeve and will really suprise us this time. Götze, Fellaini or Willian would be amazing. And maybe a good defender like Hummels or Höwedes.

M'Vila, Thauvin and Gourcuff are not the quality of players that will make a difference. Can't see Wenger selling that to anyone.

Ed, the way you phrased your note seems like you meant QPR will try to hijack M'Vila's deal with someone else. When the 3rd responder asked "what deal?" I think he meant who is the deal with, and is it us?

Dicky {Ed002's Note - No, Rubin Kazan.}

Goddamn youre dumb stop contradicting yourself

Ed, who is Mvila going to in the next 48hrs? I heard that Russian side were the top option, but don't they have a transfer embago? {Ed027's Note - i think Rubin Kazan, could be another russian club, they are offering Rennes good money
