What happened to the rumours of Walcott going to Chelsea or PSG

Believable13 Unbelievable47

Eh? It was rumoured that Juve are keen, that's all.

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope that they come back and that they turn out be true, id take what we got ripped off for by southampton in the first place, 12 million. all pace which he doesnt even use and the odd good finish..awful, awful player.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a stupid post theo walcott is one of the best young talents in europe and we got a steal finding him at southhampton. plzzz dont pay attention to a no mark that would say walcott is a bad player .

Agree0 Disagree0

Juve were definitely keen, mainly because all their wingers flatter to deceive (although I feel Krasic hasnt been treated fairly this year) however juve have decided their main target is a striker (althought they have matri, vucinic, quagliarella, plus a young lad on loan at Torino who looks a class act ( I think he's called Cristian pasquayo) and they're gunning for RVP or Torres and with them going on a season long unbeaten run with the scudetto getting closer for them, they'll have the money too make a good offer I'd imagine.

D

Agree0 Disagree0

People saying walcott is bad are so dumb its untrue, and it will be the same kind of people that if he goes will bitch about it saying we should never of let him go. To all the very dumb people on here slating him he is only 23 and this is his first season as a regular starter so wise up and shut the h up

Agree0 Disagree0

Walcott has shown more promise this season and has (until Saturday) been reasonably injury free. Well done to the Arsenal medical team again for letting Theo carry on with his hamstring injury on Saturday, which he then made worse by sprinting and is now out for the rest of the season. Come back Gary Lewin!

Agree0 Disagree0

Theres only one answer, both clubs changed their managers so different target. simples.

Lets start some rumours here, maybe it gathers momentum and he is shipped some where.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm probably more anti-Walcott than pro, but purely because of his default punt it and run method. occasionally he'll have a good game and get in a position where he can score, but he's not lived up to the hype so far. I wouldn't write him off just yet, maybe one more season and see if he's able to improve to a less punt it and see sort of player.

If you're pro Walcott, watch the next game he plays and really watch him throughout the game and not just the positives like the few good crosses he whips in.

Agree0 Disagree0

"Eh? It was rumoured that Juve are keen, that's all."

No it's not all... And Daniel Sturridge's father/agent has actually come out and said that a swap deal, could be possible.

=M.A.

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted comment, I don't want him to go just worried he might.

Got to hand it to Mourinho he really does find a way of winning take some doing to win the La liga with the present Barca side.
If he wins La liga and C/league can't see Real letting him come back to premiership.

Believable34 Unbelievable5

If he wins the champions league with them, he will leave them, because that is the only challenge he sets himself.

Agree0 Disagree0

I might get slated for this but i dont believe barca are as good as they believe they are and i said at the start of the season i doubt they would win the cl.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barca will beat any team in the world over 2 legs, with the exception being real madrid. Hardly surprising when you see the money spent on both teams though.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barca did not start with sanchez or cesc. tello missed some sitters, and messi was man marked...like chelsea did.

but i think the diff is no abidal and pique two very important starting players with height and strenght.

chelsea and madrid scored their goals from the left flank.

anyway i think barca are a total attack machine...but with suspect defense they are as normal as anyone.

if chelsea beat them again their summer will be interesting.

Agree0 Disagree0

I can see Mourinho moving to a German club sometime in his career, because really, what other challenge does the man have in Europe except to lift the CL trophey with an English team (unfinished business) ? He's done it in England, Spain, Italy and Portugal, apart from the German league, these are the strongest leagues in Europe.. Although PSG may be an attractive venture in future...

Agree0 Disagree0

Porto was his only great success. the rest of it has happened with the help of hundreds of millions of pounds.
Lets see mourinho manage everton into european success, and then talk.

Agree0 Disagree0

One of the comments about Fab not starting i've heard on internet he's not intergrating into there style of play

Agree0 Disagree0

People need to get educated when it comes to Mourinho.

Since Porto (which was without doubt his greatest success) he only ever goes to clubs who have not one any major honours in a sizeable period of time against what are seen as fierce competitors within a league and whom are desperate to spend any amount to "right that wrong" i.e.

Chelsea - Not won much at all and no league title for ages. Abramovic comes in bank rolls 100s of millions - They win the league but Mourinho gets sacked for not winning in a "stylish" way and no C/L trophy 9by the way Abramovic told Mourinho to do it with the current team and without spending another 120 million which Mourinho didn't like the idea of.

Then off to Italy - Inter - New president stating that they would "spend what it took to win the Italian League - Get Mourinho - He buys everyone he possible can from the best available in the world at that time. Win the league and other trophies including C/L.

Then off to Real Madrid - You guessed it, desperate to usurp Barcelona in Spain (shown to be behind them in recent history) - Buys everyone he can from the best in the World (money no object) - Looks like he is going to win the league. Might win the C/L.

Now to his future - Chelsea unhappy not having won anything lately and Abramovic ready to spend big for the last time before the new rules? - maybe.

Man City - if they don't win the league, they have the money and the appetite for success at any cost? - maybe

PSG - Loads of money and an appetite to dominate the French League and C/L - maybe?

He will be truly as great as he thinks he is, when he take someone like Lille, or Fulham, or Real Betis and develop a team (rather than buy superstars) and turn them into something special.

BTW, Mourinho floated an idea of rejoining Chelsea a few months ago and stated that he would want Abramovic to buy a few Real Madrid stars paying "whatever it took", and one of those stars was Ronaldo. Anyone believe he can build a team to win himself still?

Love to hear other peoples view.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its rubbish talk. if the players arent good the manager cant turn them into superstars.

messi was messi, ronaldo was ronaldo...they may be moulded into a style of play, but its not like fergie sat down with him and told him the facts of life.

mourinho can win with the best thats what matters. he does it with wit and style.

even those who hate him admire him.

i still take barca over madrid if they make that final thou.

If we were to sign Podolski and RVP stays do you think Wenger will use him on the left or revert back to 4-4-2

Believable12 Unbelievable25

Left attack wide

Agree0 Disagree0

No because you would still need RVP to do that

Agree0 Disagree0

Do what?

Podolski will replace rvp, watch it happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Quite possible.

Agree0 Disagree0

Podolski will be the second striker to vp in 4321, or will play left in 433 or in games such as wigan will play uptop in 442 with vp..imo aw will rotate both vp and podolki alot this year ..like real do with benzema and HiguaĆn..

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont believe that Wenger will revert to our successful 4-4-2 formation using powerful tall players. If he did, I would love to see;
Szczesny
Sagna Koscielny Vermaelen Vertonghen
Oxlade Song M'Vila Gervinho
RVP Podolski
&
Gordon (Craig)
Jenkinson Mertesacker Djourou Gibbs
Walcott Frimpong Arteta Wilshere
Giroud Campbell

Agree0 Disagree0

You wouldnt start with Wilshere? but would the OX ?
dan

Agree0 Disagree0

Podolski would be on the left hand side of the three because the only way Arsenal could play 4-4-2 would be with Arteta, Song, Wilshere and Santos which would be perfect balance

Ed, is there any interest in Marouane Fellaini? Watched the United-Everton game today and thought he had a great game- and overall, I reckon he'd be a great squad option. I remember reading a couple of stories that we were weighing up a bid (admittedly from obscure sources). You got anything on this?

Indian Gunner {Ed002's Note - I don't know of any interest.}

Believable11 Unbelievable11

There Are Better Players for the Money everton are Going To Want.

Agree0 Disagree0

Plzzz plzzz no Fellaini he not a Arsenal type of player plus no way he good anough to play for us. everton if you need cash sell him to the no marks spuds..

Agree0 Disagree0

I think he has everything we need, he's a real presence in the middle of the park. Would be a great addition. Can attack and defend

Ed what are the chanes of arsenal signing hazard and mvila {Ed002's Note - Hazard slim and M'Vila possible - if the disire from Arsenal is there.}

Ed. I heard a rumour that the reason robin was in Barcelona the other day was to attempt to talk his good friend allefey in to joining arsenal in the summer. Do you believe there is any substance to this and do you think barca would be willing to sell him?

Krisb21 {Ed002's Note - It sounds like nonsense to me. I suspect that with Affelay out injured pretty much all of this season it is unlikely that Arsenal would take a chance on him before he could prove his fitness. He may get two or three games so there will be a chance to take a look. However, he will likely be available in the summer and Italy looks like an option if he is.}

Believable4 Unbelievable21

Your rumour seems a bit unpredictable considering the hotel Robin was at, wasn't in Barcelona but London... The team were over here to face Chavs in the UCL game.

=M.A.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where would he play in that side?

Agree0 Disagree0

The fact that the Hotel was in London also makes the whole thing a lot more innocent. So he wanted to catch up with cesc and affellly. So what?

Arsenal forever
