il cut straight to the chase..kevin gamiero will sign for arsenal..it could be right on deadline day too
global gunner

Believable11 Unbelievable23

That would be a good signing

Agree0 Disagree0

If wenger wants him i can see this happening as we can outbid valencia

Agree0 Disagree0

It's good that you cut to the chase right away instead of posting some BS

I have a rumour for everyone af wants rid of nanni so he is coming to arsenal as United have rvp............

Believable9 Unbelievable45

Highly unlikely. Why would it have anything to do with RVP? That deal is done and dusted.

Stezza.

Agree1 Disagree0

Noooo they would want 30m from us for him especially as we took them to cleaners over RVP, I would love him though but recently he has even very inconsistent
Dan

Agree1 Disagree0

Lol, he is a poor walcott at best, absolutely shocking player. Not good enough for our reserves...

Agree2 Disagree0

Nani is not good enough

Ha ha ha, you funny dude

From Jamie Sanderson:

Park Chu-Young has turned down a move to UAE side Al-Ain. Arsenal frustrated. Korean papers says he wants to play in Spain.

Believable30 Unbelievable11

So do I!! Lol!

Heard many of rumours of Jesus Navas coming to Arsenal as they will be losing Walcott before the end of the transfer window. I'm my opinion great transfer a more consist wide man and proven recently against puerto rico has a good end product!

Would like to see the quick winger wearing the red of Arsenal

Cornish Gooner

Believable22 Unbelievable26

Got pace and excellent final ball, if walcott was to leave would be an ideal replacement...

Agree0 Disagree0

But he won't leave!:)

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but this has got Reyes written all over it. Navas is rediculously home sick. He's always stayed with Sevilla despite interest from even the big two in Spain. Can't see this happening at all. Even if it did he'd want to move back home within a season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have to agree with the previous post about Navas being home sick. He's been rated by both Madrid and Barca for quite some time but nothing had eventuated for it. I've admired him for quite some time and if he does move as a replacement for Walcott, it would be amazing news. Having said that though he probably would not play up to his expectations due to not being in Seville, but then again... only time will tell

Barcelona will pay arsenal now 3.9m for the transfer of Alex song. The same amount will be paid each six months during the next 2 years so there is not 15m from the song deal there to spend at this very second. Still expect a true CDM to be signed to fill the void left by songs departure.

DA

Believable20 Unbelievable24

If true why do we sell players unless the money is paid up front and why does barcelona buy players they cant afford.

Agree1 Disagree0

But if we buy someone we are not going to pay all the money up front. It's just the way that transfers work

Agree0 Disagree0

Sahin is a done deal after Arsenal and Real Madrid have compromised over the transfer fee option after the loan deal is completed. Have from a reliable source that he will undertake a medical in the next few days and will be available for the Stoke game.

Ed all this talk about Jesus Navaz, I thought he gets homesick? Therefore won't leave Spain. Am I wrong?
N.I Gunner {Ed022's Note - You are correct.}

Believable24 Unbelievable8

It's only 2 hours 40 mins on a plane.

Agree0 Disagree0

That's been our problem all summer. Bendtner,Arshavin.Park,Chamakh are all homesick - they won't leave London !

Agree1 Disagree0

It's been well documented that he gets home sickness very bad. He was set to sign for us years ago but backed out because of it. He was unavailable for selection for the Spanish national sides away games, but I noticed he played at the euros. Could be overcoming it?

Agree0 Disagree0

He'll suit us perfectly as long as we don't ask him to travel to Stamford Bridge or White Hart Lane.

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't understand how i'd have thought 80k a week would have cured that though? But i'm pretty sure he won't come :(

Agree0 Disagree0

Will people stop spreading this rumour as gospel? It is true that the poor lad had this problem, but from what I've heard, it's not as bad now. He has worked with a therapist, and was about to back out of the Euros, but decided to face his demons, and ended up putting in a couple of fine performances for the Spanish side.

He is no doubt an upgrade over Walcott, and a much better player for teams parking the bus. His end product is consistent, and he will certainly get chances to score goals at Arsenal.

Been looking through the transfer dealings of Arsenal for the last six seasons and am shocked to see we are actually running at a profit of nearly thirty million! Shows what a great job AW has done to keep us in the top three but makes me realise that we are not as ambitious as I wish we were! Tony

Believable40 Unbelievable12

Wait till the end of the transfer window for final opinions mate. but yeah, it does look better overall than previous years (there is quality leaving but there is quality coming in as well). I personally think that AW and the club have now finally implemented the right tactic for "unhappy" players. If you do not want to play for us then great - sell you and bring in exited and quality replacement. This is what we need to do with theo as well if he does not sing at 80k. im a big fan of theo personally but he's being a bit silly with those contract talks considering his current form (absolutely awful against sunderland)

Agree1 Disagree0

Top 3... on occassion! lol

Agree0 Disagree0

Especially seeing as the board said he had £50m to use this summer, so really he should be able to spend £80m before the window ends

Agree0 Disagree0

Shows you how badly we'd be off if Wenger left - which many of the whingers wanted last year.

Stewart

Agree0 Disagree0

We shouldn't be making a profit in transfer dealings year on year, the main issue I have though is the high wages for mediocre players so the club isn't as well run as it could and should be.

Agree0 Disagree0

By the way I'm very happy with the job Arsene has done keeping us in the champions league every year without fail.

Agree0 Disagree0

Let AW spend the 30millions on good players and then this is all square ;-)
Would give a good feeling
A

Agree0 Disagree0

Now he just gotta spend.... and spend some more! bring neymar in or something! ganso.... :/

Agree0 Disagree0

This is what upsets me too. There are many ways of making money in football, so profiting from sales of players is unforgivable IMO. All money from player sales should go into buying new players. I'm very proud of our self-sustaining business model but we should spend more than we receive from transfers on new players or the team shrinks.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yep...goes to show how effed we would be without the Prof. But also shows how badly we somebody to grab the board by their man bits and swing them round until they do their job properly and to the same level the Prof does his.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed never posts my comments, here goes personally I couldnt care less if we have x amount from a transfer or how much is in the kitty, im a fan not an accountant.

Agree0 Disagree0

Well to the fan and not an accountant, be grateful and understanding that if it wasnt for AW`s tactics our club would not be as competitive as we are. My only wish is upon the clearance of the stadium finance and renegotiation of sponsorship deals that on occasion we shock the world as we did with Bergkamp many years ago and purchase an elite talent. It remains to be seen when this clearance of debt and sponsorship happens will we change our salary structure....Gunners4Life

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does running at a loss equal ambition?
Surely he is talented enough to win stuff and make a profit...
i really think we were just clearing out the Darren Dein dummys

I have it from a realible source that our third sticker will be Michael Owen wenger is just waiting to see if his previous injury problems are over. My source and ex arsenal player who likes a bet.

Believable12 Unbelievable36

No please no....

Agree1 Disagree0

Merson is having u on

Agree2 Disagree0

What do they want for him? For us to refill their medical supplies? the guy is made of glass

Agree0 Disagree0

And santa claus is actually alex fergie

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this as in Paninni stickers?

D

Agree1 Disagree0

I want an Owen sticker.

Agree0 Disagree0

Is this for your Panini album?

Agree1 Disagree0

Tbh when I read he was looking to get another contract I thought ... Silvestre ... ahhh sh*te ... I'm very afraid this could happen ...

Agree0 Disagree0

Sticker? Is it a hologram shiny? I'll swap you for a Chamakh and Bendtner. I've got swapsies of both of them !

Agree0 Disagree0

Why bother putting the effort into writing such tosh! Even if it were true i'd avoid advertising due to the embarassment factor!

Agree0 Disagree0

Might sound stupid but we are crying out for a player like that. in the team for nothing else but to score a goal. how many easy chances do we miss. when was the last time we had a 'poacher' , eduardo maybe and he was pretty good for us before his injury. as a 3rd striker we could do much worse. but giroud is our only striker atm. podolski is not a striker

Agree0 Disagree0

I hope so as he will complete my fantasy sticker album.

Arsegoon

Agree0 Disagree0

Please .... Owen. Instead sign Del Piero has that experience along with his excellent finishing ability to score goals. At 37 he is old, but he still e used as a super sub. Has the winning mentality and help our young strikers who will learn a lot.. He is available on free...

One more there will be lot of Arsenal Jerseys for the taking ..... Del Piero.

Hey Ed what do you think ?? owen or DP

Agree0 Disagree0

"wenger is just waiting to see if his previous injury problems are over."

There is no way to determine that.

Arsenal have had a bid of 18mill rejected for alexander Pato.

Perhaps milan may sell, as they are rebuilding. Will they take a loss on their initial 22 mill outlay?

Red Tommy

Believable15 Unbelievable48

Why do people keep linkin us with strikers wengers already has said he after 1 mid and 1 more defender

Agree1 Disagree0

And since when do you ever believe something Wenger says regarding transfers? Wenger loves the summer transfer window its like a poker game, and only he knows what cards he is holding.

Agree0 Disagree0

My honest opinion is that he wont buy an expensive striker. he has prices for everything...its like shopping in waitrose and sainsburys for him.

He probably wants Mvila, but wont pay 15, he wants Pato but wont pay what they want. It will all come down to the player he can get for the price he wants and the willingness of the player to join, while adding quality to arsenal.

Red Tommy

P.S - and the sahin loan is just that, a one year rental.

Agree0 Disagree0

Like the previous poster stated when has wenger ever told us the truth during the transfer window? He bluffs everybody. He is looking to buy a striker, Kevin Mirales who just joined everton says he turned an offer from us down. I don't think it will be a high profile striker maybe Niang another one for the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

Pato is out for 4weeks mate !

Agree0 Disagree0

18 mil.... pfffff

so today we are linked with Shweinsteiger, Pato, Mvilla (again)... any more Football manager kids wanna post some BS here?

Realistically we will pick up that Senegalese LB, Sahin on loan and maybe M'Villa - just maybe

BMS

Agree0 Disagree0

Cassano just signed for Inter, so at the moment Milan could do with Pato. See what happens if they get Borriello

Agree0 Disagree0

23 Aug 2012 10:35:40
Red Tommy, I think they want Sahin long term, but just want to see how he holds up injury wise to the Premiership. To many of our players sadly seem made of glass (or something even weaker!) so I'm hoping if there is any doubt this is the way we'll go all the time now.

Loan to evaluate them and if it works out snaffle them up.

Agree0 Disagree0

22 Aug 2012 13:46:28
Sahin is not coming to Arsenal. We've had a change of mind.

Believable30 Unbelievable58

Of course yeah, this is why papers everywhere say it is done....-.-'

Agree0 Disagree0

This is true. He's in squad for the first el'classico ... sorry guys

Agree0 Disagree0

Who's we???

Agree0 Disagree1

Shut up please...!

Agree1 Disagree0

Sahin deal is done. Arsenal called a photo-op for him on Monday but the deal stalled due to Real and Arsenal not agreeing to a £14m buy-out clause if Sahin became permanent. Clause issue now ironed-out and Sahin will be formally announced in next 24 hours...

Agree1 Disagree0

Fair enough... we cant be sure he is coming to us until its official...

But Im quite sure he is leaving Madrid for the next season (based on the latest quotes from Mourinho) - so any remarks about him being involved in some dubious cup game against Barcelona are not exactly saying much

asyd

Agree0 Disagree0

SSN say deal done

Agree0 Disagree0

Clearly from a jealous spurs or liverpool fan!

Agree1 Disagree0

Perhaps this is true...although it says on all sites to be confirmed shortly...i am aware that its only a loan deal with no option to buy...hence this maybe a deal breaker for wenger.

its clear as day mourinho doesnt like wenger.

Agree0 Disagree0

It is not a done deal untill its on arsenal.com and mourinho has said no club has been decided yet for sahin

Agree0 Disagree0

DONE DEAL! - Arsenal to pay £2m in wages/fees for season-long loan. Option to buy out the permanent contract for £14m was the sticking point on Monday, hence the delay...

Agree0 Disagree0

Come on dude. everyone knows the deal is done. Eurosport Germany said it is a done deal obviously and he already had his photo shoot at Arsenal. And Eurosport is not a boulevard-media-rumour-rubbish-paper. It is a German television broadcaster and maybe even more reliable than ssn.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger has changed his mind done his usual squad good enough ....he had passed a medical today

Eduardo back to Arsenal once Wenger can offload Park and Bendtner.....This is a real possibility according to an ex player source i have....

Kal

Believable17 Unbelievable55

Come on! ...been reading BBC Sports over your lunchbreak??

Eduardo: ""It would be nice if they wanted me to join again, but it's not the kind of thing I'm thinking about,"

The boy is merely putting himself in the shop window for a Premiership return as Fulham are sniffing. Wenger very very very rarely goes backwards re-signing old talent.

Agree0 Disagree1

What's an "ex player source"? Some website where ex players congregate?
drumsofdotl

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to see him again in Arsenal.
Eduardo is one of those rare excellent finishers we desperately need.
Im sad he never got a proper chance, instead Wenger was forcing that anti talent Bendtner.
Still no way he is coming back.

Agree0 Disagree0

Would love to see him back was a shame we sold him in the first place imo he's pure class

Sahin to sign in the next 24 hours also we are VERY interested in Jesus Navas, we have been interested in him for a while but he is a little bit out off by Reyes because he said the food and weather is bad
You heard it here first

Little Gooner

Believable28 Unbelievable3

Jesus navas will not come to england, he suffers from an anxiety disorder and panic attacks when he leaves his homeland for to long, everyone knowes this. Sahin deal is on him by the sounds of things if he wants to come to arsenal or not, so i think he will be announced within the next day or 2, looking at the squad i think the midfield is fine, still need 2 defenders in my opinion, another centre half and a RB, and we need another striker IF wenger is not going to use chamaqh, bendhner, park, there must be money to spend aswell after selling VP and Song weve virtually signed dolski, giround and carzola for nothing

Agree0 Disagree0

Nevas is class. i fink reason no1 has ever signed him is fact hes happy at seville and is scared of leaving a class talent tho

Agree0 Disagree0

Last season we were in for him... i'm not sure but wenger is in alot of pressure to deliver a trophy so might go for him... i wish it happens but seems quite not like arsenal...
Steel Gun

Agree0 Disagree0

Just heard this too from a trusted source

Agree0 Disagree0

Source: Bayern Munchen website

Schweinsteiger making ˜very positive™ progress - Bastian Schweinsteiger's 15-minute appearance at the end of the DFB Cup tie against Regensburg was another important step en route to a comeback in the starting line-up.

Arsenal to pay a fee around £25m? The guy is just coming back from injury, the likelihood of this deal is so far fetched we can only assume your source is either massively off the mark, or this is just another fish in the sea of fantasy transfers.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wonder what ed thinks...........

Agree0 Disagree0

I've also hear this too from a reliable source .... now that is utter bs but the point is is how easy that is to post

Agree0 Disagree0

Lay off lads, it's a transfer site, I know it sounds unlikely that he'll come, but can we stop the abuse!

CheetahChaz97

Agree0 Disagree0

No, I'm not on crack, and judging by your punctuation and basic grammar skills you are the one that's stoned.

Frank

Agree0 Disagree0

There might be something to this. We were close to signing him last summer. Wenger likes to go back for his targets. Seems a deadline day signing to me

Agree0 Disagree0

First, Bad-mouth Lehmann (we missed him much like we missed Seaman), before Tower Per (Mertesacker), then Young Esfield. After that experience Poldi and Schweini is not bad either coz Poldi and Mert will help him to adapt.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal are linked with a move for Sevilla winger Jesus Navas, I'm guessing this will be a replacement for Theo Walcott both similar players. Would be a great replacement if Theo leaves.

Irish Gunner

Believable28 Unbelievable39

Agree2 Disagree0

Rubbish

Theo is not good enough matt philips and ince at blackpool are better.

apc

Agree0 Disagree0

Similar, except that Navas is 5x better than Theo, and has won loads of prestigious trophies.

Agree1 Disagree0

Its not a swap, Arsenal just linked with Jesus Navas. And yes Navas is very quick!

Im sure santi could try to persuade him aswell

Irish Gunner

Bendtner has been seen in Rotterdam. Feyenoord has been trying to resign Guidetti but to no avail. Bendtner is being lined up on loan for one season as Feyenoord is in desperate need of a front line striker.

Dutch Gooner

Another loan move for the world's best striker should not be entertained. Permanent transfer or rot in the reserves. Arsenal should be calling the shots, not another club or the player.

New poster here. Hi.

Thought I ought to let you guys know of a massive signing for Arsenal. This is surely the exciting signing Ivan Gazidis was referencing in the past. First the big news.

Bastian Schweinsteiger is almost done. Fee unkown. My source can not be named for obvious reasons but he says we've been in talks all summer. Club were waiting to see how his fitness was after a few niggling concerns. Says the deal may hinge on Martinez transfer.

Another snippet he gave was that Arsenal's back up plan is a deal for Kaka. Doesn't know if it's permanent or a loan.

He reckons the Sahin deal should go through tomorrow first thing. regardless of Schweinsteiger situation. Loan but unaware of any option to buy. Could be but he doesn't know.

Theo Walcott contract situation is 50/50. Very much touch and go at present. Striker's being chased so Arsenal appear open to selling this summer.

Will try and update tomorrow but I'm working so it depends if/when I get the info.

Believable26 Unbelievable20

Don`t believe you. Don`t waste your time

Agree0 Disagree0

Please let this not be true. I hate Schweinsteiger-.-'

Agree0 Disagree0

PLEASE PLEASE be true!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bastian Schwienztsefge blah blah, Kaka, nexts, Hulk, M'Villa, Lewaandwoski

Agree0 Disagree0

No chance of this happening. Too expensive for Arsenal by far.

Stewart

Agree0 Disagree0

I can guarantee you we will not sign Schweinsteiger.
If we do, I will buy every regular poster on this site a bottle of coke.
Nick.

Agree0 Disagree0

If we let theo go that's a joke 3 of our best players last season and now half the squad will be poor as they have not adjusted to PL accept cazorla maybe. No silverware this year.

Agree0 Disagree0

I wouldn't be surprised if we were in for Schweini, but the guy's 28. We'll get 4 years out of him max, no resale value. Not to mention he'd be costing 25+? Can't see it.

Funny how we're after all these Germans... chasing Goetze, Muller, heard we were after Hummels last season... got Per, Podolski, Eisfeld, got Gnabry coming through the ranks

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter Rubbish.

As if he would ever come to us.

Agree0 Disagree0

The signing he was referring to was carzola. I wouldn't hold much more excitement we've had more signings this season then most. So stop it with these unrealistic posts.

Agree0 Disagree0

Im sure RVP would have stayed if Schweinsteiger was coming in!!

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no doubt Schweinsteiger would be a great signing... I just find it hard to believe, my own guess would be at least 30 mil for him ! That is what I find hard to believe... sorry but I suspect this is a wind up.

If it turns out to be true, you can have all credit and Kudos from me.
LG

Agree1 Disagree0

This is more absurd than Goetze or even Neymar rumours imo, sorry mate!

Schweinsteiger? Who clicked agree? Seriously? He'd cost about £30-40m, isn't needed, probably doesn't want to leave Bayern either, I mean what the hell?!

Metal Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Bastian Schweinsteiger, to add to the abundence of midfielders we allready have and are planning to buy, I just cant see it guys when has Wenger ever gone made and changed the team this much!!

Agree0 Disagree0

What the actual f**! Are you serious? If this happened I would be amazed!

Agree0 Disagree0

I love Arsenal as much as the next Gooner but if you really think that Schweinsteiger, the face of Bayern, would move Arsenal then i would like to have watever your smoking

Agree0 Disagree0

In other news: Villa and Messi are coming in for £12 and a four pack of Andrex.

Agree0 Disagree0

Also a deal for Neymar has been agreed. He will be arriving for a fee of £1.40 and a packet of wine gums. And will sign a four year deal worth roughly £7.00 per hour and a free pizza per week.

Believable13 Unbelievable21

Sahin is done and M'bengue is strongly linked. BUT i don't think that this is the end of the activity!:)

Agree1 Disagree0

M'bengue is more likley as santos thinks he is a racing driver and could face prison

Article from caught offside (I know there usually full of bullsh*t, but this is a rumour site after all) saying wenger is going to spend the 15m from song sale on Cheick Tiote - If this has any truth then it would be worth a shot he's one of the best midfield enforcers in the prem along with Yaya Toure. Would he suit are style of play?

Believable25 Unbelievable42

Based Tiote, yes please

However, I have it on relatively good authority that to even make Pardew imagine selling we'd have to bid upwards of 25m

Agree0 Disagree0

Would like to have him but not for 15m and Newcastle would'nt sell cheap

Sheeny

Agree1 Disagree0

Rather have mvila for the 15mil mark than tiote

United fan here but be ready for a shock that kaka will be joining arsenal on loan for this season!

Leebo

Believable17 Unbelievable58

Kaka is paid 250k a week, so unless madrid are willing to pay 180k p/w for a player to to warm another teams bench - not likely! he will be sold to Milan or back to Brazil

Had a dream about this last night. Surely can't happen...?
