So...Eden Hazard was at the Emirates today. Apparently received two tickets from Gervinho. Read into this what you will but it is 100% true.

=Miss Arsenal

Believable37 Unbelievable22

His agent has said Arsenal would be a step back in his career so I think he came just to watch the match unfortunately

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont think he liked what he saw

Agree0 Disagree0

So your too quick ;) i posted this after you :) i reckon he will come :) just a thought :)

batch

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand you work for arsenal, miss arsenal?

Call me cynical, but do you work in the PR dept by any chance ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Brilliant! ow he definately won't join us after that shambles of a display. We;ve probably just convinced him to join Man Utd....

Agree0 Disagree0

Its suggested that he was 'hidden' so maybe he wasn't there as a fan. I don't know but I'm not getting carried away.

I am really losing sooo much faith in Arsene and the club as a whole that I'm taking the believe it when I see it approach. Its bad enough that the team and manager are constant disappointments, but I'm not setting myself up for more disappointment by expecting we sign someone like Hazard.

Very dejected Gunner.

StEvE

Agree0 Disagree0

He could have went to London to hold talks with City, United, Chelsea or Arsenal officials. Or just to watch a game of football?

Sydney!

Agree0 Disagree0

Is their any link to show he was their? and gervinho must of done that to make sure he see's the gooners play and attract him not with arshavin coming on!

Agree0 Disagree0

My bet would be chelsea talks. However a move for him would make alot of sence with Rosicky and Arshavin coming to the end of their careers at arsenal.

CT {Ed027's Note - true apparently their contracts are up, but what about matias suarez

Agree0 Disagree0

Miss Arsenal, like everyone else I hope this was 100% true but I won't hold my breath thinking he was there to sign for the club. But you never know!

Marky N

Agree0 Disagree0

As true as your podolski story?

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would someone coming for talks with chelsea go to watch arsenal play. also hazard was at the newcastle training ground last weekend but it didnt mean he was signing for newcastle he was visiting yohan cabaye. also i was wondering if there was anything in the story i saw in the summer that the board were guilt tripping wenger into not spending a lot of money because they gave him the new stadium he wanted and they want him to help clear the debt from it before spending big. i didnt read too much into it at the time but even an person would of bought a new fullback by now and wenger has never struck me as an idiot

Agree0 Disagree0

Ed pls check the IP of the Original Poster of this rumour as although the story's true they're using my name & it wasn't me. Cheers.

=M.A.

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh and btw, AA's contract runs out in 2013 Ed.

=M.A.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arshavin contract runs out in 2013 ofcourse it does !

Agree0 Disagree0

I wasn't really on about Arshavin's contract, but just his demenour lately would suggest his time is coming to a close. That is just my thoughts though.

Yeah ed it is a odd one, heard absolutely nothing about Suarez since the pre contract, which I could be quite skeptical about. But lets face it when it comes to a marquee signing like Hazard any fan would get a wee bit carried away. Even if the chances of it actually happening were nill. I just find it odd that a player of his calibre would come to England just to watch a game when the only person he really knows at the emirates isn't even there. Possibly signing for chavski and just stopping by to watch a big match?

CT

Agree0 Disagree0

What ever way you look at it if he comes to london chelsea will grab him not us

Agree0 Disagree0

The kid come to London to watch what use to be one of the big games in European football. He has said that he would like to play in England. Not really a big stretch to say he was there to watch a game of football is it. No way we will get him he will be able to go tany team he wants.

Agree0 Disagree0

Above comments r spot on. He came to watch a great game between arsenal and man u...who wouldnt want to watch it. Plus his mate Gervinho gave him the tickets. Only reason he was in London was to sign with Chelsea or maybe watching his new club Man U...hate to say it but no way he will come to Gunners as CL is loooking outmof reach

Agree0 Disagree0

Can't really see Hazard joining us,why would he take a chance on us,when we are probably not even going to get CL football next season.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hazard will go to Chelsea, Lille want Kakuta to develop with them and he will be involved in the deal which will happen January 31st or in Summer. Chelsea are also the only team who have expressed real interest in him, our board want him but we won't pay the fee Lille want. Another class Talent Lost.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wasn't mata at the emirates also at the start of the season.
Look where he ended up ?

so wenger takes of the ox but keeps theo on - what a joke you are what game are you watching?
spanner

Believable61 Unbelievable6

And then Arshavin is at fault for the goal. amazing stuff.

but hey, in Wenger we trust - not

Agree0 Disagree0

Its a joke. The second goal was Ars**tes fault, which in turn is Wengers fault.

I have long been a supporter of Wenger, but this game is starting to tip me towards - Wenger out.

JW

Agree0 Disagree0

Arshavin cost us the 2nd goal. good sub wenger!!!

Agree0 Disagree0

One of the worst managerial decisions ive ever seen

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal and A.W have just broken through the sh*t barrier.
Officially worse than sh*t.
Well done A.W for making sure we lose this game.

Agree0 Disagree0

Completely undefendable decision by wenger, something must give before its too late.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unbelievable act from wenger!! OX OUT for the Russian s**t! unbelievable!!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's better than arshavin starting or ?

Agree0 Disagree0

Anyone fink we wudda easily won had we had sagna and gibbs/santos playing not to mention wilshire

Agree0 Disagree0

Today wenger managing cost us the game!
Yennaris must start instead of Djourou!
and unbelievable sub to play archavin! man they have to sold him very soon!really very strange act from AW

Agree0 Disagree0

You heard what the manager said after the game ,, he was taken off incase of calf strain. if he left him on and hurt himself you be bitching about that instead! f*** you all your never satisified.. Dublin Gooner Deffo in Arsene i Trust!

Agree0 Disagree0

Indeed Wenger is devastating arsenal, seemed he is old and lost all the sense of thinking mature. You guys, who power to remove from managing arsenal affairs? We are tired of him. Board could not even make decision to fire Wenger or if there is no money to buy quality player, let board close the club instead of carrying every day frustration after loosing game. There is nothing that can happen better in arsenal if wenger is still the manager. He does not have ability to make decision and seemed there is deal between wenger and board. Wenger never feel shame of waht he has been doing bad, because he is earning his salary. WENGER MUST BE FIRED IMMEDIATELY tomorrow not later, we need new manager that can buy quality player so that Arsenal can compete with other top four.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dublin Gooner...he was talking about Djourou not Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain...i.e. Slightly injury Djourou.
So it could have been a lot worse, by having the useless Djourou on the field as well taking AOX off....enough said.
You keep the faith in that stupid manger...we don't!

Agree0 Disagree0

No He Was Talking About Ox He Said He Was Ill And Stretched His Calf

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger is good for the club, but not as the manager. I think we need fresh blood as he is unable to
otivate players as he used to and has run out of ideas on how to motivate them.
Arsenal need a clear out of players. Look at Kenny for example he said on TV "The players did not respect the opposition and did not play." I have never heard Wenger say this about his players. Get real Mr Wenger.

Agree0 Disagree0

Who bought the ox? who started him? who bought your Favorite players? your the spanner

Agree0 Disagree0

Still we did not deserve anything from the game, United looked the more accomplished side, hungrier and willing to take the game to the opponent. Confirmation that a finish orange the top 4 is a reality.

Pretoria Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Appalling decision.
Never heard such loud boos since going to Arsenal! All our potency and goal came from the left and Ox and Vermallen, so Wenger takes Ox off for Arshavin ! Genius
All our potency stops and that lazy rubbish costs us a goal!
Walcott continued to be useless and we lost
Great strategy! Here comes Europa
No excuse we are not good enough because our manager
Not the ref
Not the ball
Not the grass
Not the light
Just you Wenger and Board our squad is average snd RVP will go and so will the 62000 fans that fund a leisure sport for fun
Not an equity investment fund driven by profit return! It's a football club!
Sad sad day !!

Agree0 Disagree0

Dublin Gooner what are you on, they train all week to play 90 mins. Taking him off cost us any momentum we had. Why don't we just take off our all our best players in every game, I know let's play RVP for 45 mins and then take him off when we really really need him just in case he gets injured. Let's also walk to the game in case of any traffic accident....
Been hearing some BIZARRE sh!t on this site for the last few days, but on a level, taking off our best player when we desperately needed him is a terrible terrible idea and Wenger was trying to defend an indefensible decision.

Another one is this 'what's the point of signing X or Y when they might flop' - are you serious? Ok, lets not sign any good players ever just IN CASE they don't come good. Let's just never sign anyone.

FFS.

Raz

Agree0 Disagree0

Glad none of you lot have any say in the way Arsene does his job. Took the ox off for a cramp/strain and said we are going to see more of him soon.

Utter knobends, to pretend you guys know what is best for Arsenal. Glad to see your managerial careers are restricted to fifa.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ox was fine. even rvp - captain - was like wtf....

get off your high horse

rob

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't forget that we have 10 players out injured.......though the decision in the sub was a bad one, if it had went the other way and Arshavin showed the magnificence that we once all cheered, everyone would have been on here singing his praises, but football is a funny old game. Just wait until our players our back and then judge Arsene and the team thereafter! Every team would struggle if they lost the majority of their defensive back line! And look at the plus's: Ox was fantastic and when TV moves back in the middle with Kos (who again showed class) we will have a great CB partnership. Not all doom and gloom guys!

Marky N

Agree0 Disagree0

Well said Rob.

Agree0 Disagree0

Its obvious that ox was a stupid call.

Arshavin is a bad egg now, his defence is a joke, he is lazy, he doesn't want to be here anymore, sell him now.

Yes we have a lot of players injured, but it's still concerning that we don't have a lb, aly cissoko is needed, I'm not going to rely on Gibbs to be fit.

Rvp will leave, especially if we can't win the FA cup.

We wont get far in the cl. Times are changing, it's gonna be hard gooners!

Agree0 Disagree0

Appaling decision to sub Ox, RVP's face saying NO NO NO was all over the telly, Wenger has the case of the crazies!

Agree0 Disagree0

Having been a gooner all my life it's a sad sad day to have to say that we are just a small team in London now.

You have players who we were apparently looking at in the summer, Taiwo, picking QPR!!, over us. Cisse goes to Newcastle.

Spuds, Cheatski, QPR and possibly even Fulham are seen as more attractive options for players who want to further their careers. And to be honest, who can blame them. We only ever go for players who match one or more of the following: 1. pre-20s
2. unknown
3. playing in a much lower league from the Premiership

Either of these means it will take at least a season to get up to speed.

Wenger has lost fans and possibly the dressing room, RvP's "Oh no!" shout when Ox was taken off shows that the players are getting frustrated by the situation.

It's time the club spent some of the hard earned cash the supporters pile into it and repay their loyalty, otherwise the best stadium in the premiership will soon be housing 40k a match rather than then 60k that it can.

Agree0 Disagree0

In Wenger ive LOST trust!! Cant see where he's line of thought is comming from, he can't see that he making massive mistakes because of his ego. The club needs a fresh and new line of direction.

Agree0 Disagree0

After everything Wenger has done, these comments just demonstrate how fickle our supporters are. This situation is nothing short of a lack of investment from the board. 15 years of selling the best players and investing around 60% of the proceeds each time. The latest transfer have been panic stricken and this has compounded the problem. A manager can only work with what he has and at the moment that is not great. Robin Van Persie is the one world class star in our squad and apart from that there are three players who are top quality and they are Wilshire, Vermaelen & Song.

So the situation is simple start buying better players and selling the bad ones or allow our grip on the top 4 to become a memory. More importantly players need to back the club as negativity or boo boys will compound the issue.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no shame in admitting you have got things wrong AW. I know we have some good influential player out injured, but there is no shame in signing a few players on loan in the absence, rather than playing average players out of position. Why cant we sign someone like bridge on a short term loan until we have gibbs or santos back. TV is our best central defender and with his injury history we need him to play as a CB not LB. Also surely this has got to be arshavins final straw. Yes he has the potential to be quality but how many more chances is he going to get. 18 months is a long time to have faith in someone. Give our younger players a chance to shine, if you dont have confindence in them then spend money AW. if the likes of AOC and Ryo arent ready then we need to buy players. I love being a gooner and I can accept that we may not nesasarily be title contenders in the forseeable future but every club, ( even Man Utd and Liverpool) have had good times and bad times. We will be back one day winning the EPL. Lets hope once this new ruling with profit and lose (not too sure excatly what it is called) is in place, we can benefit from it.
Sorry for the rant
Dan the gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

OTT or what , people will not pick Fulham or QPR over us , simple reason is we didn't want Taiwo or Cisse. Ignore the media on transfers, most have about a 25% record. We need to freshen up with a few players and get some of our injured players back , but at least keep it real.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just a segestion..... i am sure we could get L Baines for 15/20mill. release Arshavin back to who ever and free up his wages(£80,000 a week). fragile Gibbs can be back up to Baines and Santos can move forward to replace Arshavin as left forward. therefore not crowding squad with left backs and instantly making us stronger as a squad. Diaby and Djuorou out and free up 5million in wages a year there. 4 years time that pays for Baines, CAN IT REALLY BE THIS EASY!!

Even though morgan is part of the media, he's still an arsenal supporter with an opinion just as valid as your or mine. so what the hell are you talking about? you may be the only person left who thinks wenger is our messiah lol

Scooby dooby K

Agree0 Disagree0

The person who left the second post is an idiot, mostly because you sound/type like a 12 year old but also pretending that you know how much a poster supports his club and trying to take the piss out of it says to me that the person your describing most probably is yourself. far too quick to be jumping down the throat of someone who is an arsenal supporter.
dont need fools like you at our club my friend

Wenger doing great, in wenger we all trust!
lovely!

Agree0 Disagree0

If you are true supporter you wouldn't say that trust trust we out from top four this season trust trust we out from top ten trust trust we are fighting for relegation. Mate we should react befor it get worse?

Agree0 Disagree0

U only started liking our club when we were invincibles, note i didn,t say support our club, coz your not an arsenal fan,go and support man city ask mummy to buy you a new man city bedspread,to replace yor arse one

Agree0 Disagree0

Said it everytime, I wish people stopped blaming Arsene he does not control the club and has always done what he has thought was best for the club! His hands are tied and how can he bring in big money players? What does he do when his 10 (YES 10) injured players come back? We played well 2nd half and yes the substitution did not work, but if Arshavin had came on and scored the winner we'd all be screaming his name as we used too! Unfortunately that was not the case but that is football. Our luck will change soon and hopefully the more influential players will be back soon and our charge in the last 3rd of the season will be a good one! Games over lets move on and prepare for the next!! LETS STICK BY OUR TEAM!!

Agree0 Disagree0

The ten injured players will come back, but later than stated, and then most of them will be injured again within 4 weeks, Gibbs, Diaby are a liability that no top modern squad can allow for. I sat down the other day and tried to write down our best statrting eleven, could only find 4 players good enough, a few may get in a squad, but not many. There has been such a decline in the last 5 years. Wenger has been really good for the club, but not any more, his reputation is now tarnished, it will not get any better. If it is down to the board, he should walk, for both his dignity and reputation. The wage bill is bloated with players that should not be at the club. Before we got Mertasaker i told you he was the German Igors Stepanovs, i think i was correct, he is an honest player but not suited to the EPL, Gary Cahill, while not being as good as the press thinks would have been a better buy, with his knowledge of English football. Getting Leighton Baines from skint Everton would not be a lot more than Santos and a transfer fee for the permanantly injured Gibbs would bring in, and only one wage and place in the 25 man squad - its not rocket science.

Agree0 Disagree0

Some people don't understand what's mean for gunner4evr.if you have money to buy quality player whey u don't ?

Love to see a midfield next season of Song, Frimpong, Arteta and Wilshere rotated. Don't know what would be the best three man midfiled though. Plus I heard that Frimpong posted a picture of his eye on his twitter account. Anyone got a link?

twitter.com/Frimpong26AFC#/media/slideshow?url=pic.twitter.com%2FjuGSG2Ku

Agree0 Disagree0

Really, that's the ideal midfield you want to see next season?

I personally don't fink there up to standard. Wilshire is quality but Song and Arteta don't quite cut it. Frimpong has potential and is a good battler but I don't feel he's ready. We need quality.

We need a proper replacement for cesc:
Hazard, Gotze, Pastore, Hamsik

We've havnt had a proper holding midfielder since viera

Agree0 Disagree0

Really that is the best 3 man midfield?

This is Arsenal we are talking about. Ok Wilshire is quality and Frimpong has potential and is a good battler. I feel we need a holding player and an attacking playmaker. Cesc and Veira like plays that have not ever been replaced. That's the sort of quality that should wear the Arsenal shirt. We are a top club. Where has the ambition gone?

Hi guys. Can someone please explain to me what exactly is Arsenals transfer policy.I mean who calls the shots is it Wenger or the board. Do the gunners have the cash to spend on big name players who will cost over 20 or 30 million eg Goetze or Benzema. Is Arsene just tight and reluctant to spend big on players? or is there limited amounts to spend? The signings that were made at the end of the Summer window were panic buys if ever there was such a thing.Instead of paying 10 Mil for Mertesacker why not pay the extra few million on a world class cb even if it costs above 20 mil.Lastly this is to the Eds did Arsenal really bid 35 mil for Goetze in the summer?
Dan The Man {Ed002's Note - Arsenal, Manchester United and Barcelona were all knocked back by his Dortmund when making summer approached for Goetze.}

Believable3 Unbelievable2

Wenger has always said if he is worth it he would not hesitate on spending 40m on one player. thats not a rumour, was in interview on official website in members area.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mertesacker is 1st choice cb for germany. he is world class

Agree0 Disagree0

No one knows really I think it's the boards and managers policy since moving from high bury to emirates, to me it seems like they made a policy to save money and finish the depth quickly which is happening successfully but we are falling behind,

Their might be changes but hey why would the board complain when it seems like they are moving positively

Agree0 Disagree0

Its really the wage policy we have in place thats the main problem. I believe Wenger would pay the money, he has in the past, reyes, arshavin.... but i hosently believe the board are lying w*nkers saying there is money for AW to spend when the fact is that the board are taking the money for themselves, especially Stan Kroenke who is reinvesting his Arsenal profits into the St. Louis Rams.
If you cant meet the player's demands he'll just go to city, chelsea, utd, psg, barca, madrid...... the list goes on
