Not really new rumour but heard that we will soon announce the 45m double signing of Higuain and felliani. Great signings in my opinion! Fingers crossed!

What's not to believe Aros!
That Arsenal can't get Fellani? That Arsenal won't sign Higuain?
Stop doubting Arsenal these are new days and the club is moving forwards big signings will be made.

I'll tell you what's not to believe- we haven't had a bid accepted by Everton so how can we be announcing him joining us?
Agree0

Let's be realistic.
We CAN now sign players like Higuain, Fellaini.
We HAVE got the finances in place to raise the bar on our usual transfers.
We HAVEN'T signed anyone yet but that's not to say deals are being negotiated and worked on.
Stop slagging off other posters and moaning. Just feel glad you're not a Liverpool fan as they're signing s**t players and struggle to finish above Everton. Things could be worse!

@ Paul James Gooner,
I do believe that we'll sign higuain, and I do think there is a good chance we'll get the belgian as well, but I don't believe anything is a done deal at this point. Hopefully it will be soon.

Im not claiming to be in the know or anything but using recent speculation, here is an interesting scenerio.
Reina to Arsenal (Previous interest shown by Arsenal)
Mignolet to Liverpool (Fee agreed and medical)
Mannone to Sunderland (Speculation/interest)
I for one, would be very happy if this played out. Reina would be a brilliant keeper for us and a great mentor to Szczesny.
Anyone have any thoughts on this?

If he is not good enough for Liverpool. not good enough for us.

I think would be good move aslong as didn't cost us a fortune. I rate him. And maybe with the Spanish players we have could do a Barca and tap Fabregas up

I think your predictions are pretty spot on.

Better we go for Mignolet if you ask me.

It would certainly be good.
I would rather Cesar tho, as far as a mentor goes he has a wide range of experience including right at the pinnacle. Not to mention he is an amazing keeper!

I'm not saying he's the right choice but I do believe that we will end up with him or valdes based on a similar speculation to yourself greeny mate.
if reina goes to barca this summer I really think we'll get valdes and if valdes stays as barca's number one keeper, mignolet going to liverpool for sure pretty much bar a contract offering and medical, we will end up with valdes through default as he won't sit on the bench at barca or be happy with the competition if they barca do sign reina. But saying all this there was a hell of a lot of speculation suggesting we've already signed cesar, so this could be well out easily too.

Bradders, I have heard today (rumours obviously) that Cesar and Arsenal have some sort of pre-contract agreement but Wenger has yet to confirm the move as he is apparently waiting on certain players. such as Mignolet, Valdes, Reina etc.
Im guessing he's playing hard so we don't sign Cesar only for Begovic or someone to become available. Just my opinion.

I the only one who doesn't really rate reina? I used to like him years ago but last few years he has looked dodgy. Also not too keen on Valdez.

Obviously managers don't always tell press the full truth, but Rodgers has recently stated that Mignolet is competition for Reina. Don't expect it to be too easy. Also don't forget the Stoke have signed Butland, who said he wanted to join for the promise of first team football, so Begovic may well be available, I'd prefer to him to Reina.

Reina to barca. Valdes to monaco

Begovic signing could well see Szczesny throwing a hissy fit as Begovic could potentially take the number 1 spot permenantly.

Cesar is always better than reina

Yeah I've got a thought - Reina has become error prone and frankly terrible in the last two seasons. Stick with Ches, or get Cesar for a season.

Not sure Reina tbh been a great keeper but isn't he 36 or so? Look at Buffon last night against Brazil he's 36 and he's over the hill. But that is only my opinion.

I don't think Cesar has been up to much in the confed cup. I think those brazers in front of him make him look better than he really is.

Just to throw this in the mix. How about Shay Given for a season? May not be good enough to start ahead of shez, but he'd be a great, cheap mentor

Reina is 31 and looked near to his best last season.
I think if Arsenal sign him it would be great business.

Here's another spanner in the mix.
Barca close to signing one time arsenal target, inter Milan keeper Handanovic.
Valdes leaves THIS season maybe?
Reina now NOT going to Barca?
Interesting developments.

I've been told Arsenal will only submit an offer for Rooney if they are invited to (by Rooney's reps), basically if there is an indication he'd want to join. This has come from a coach at the club (not senior team). I trust what he says.

An offer was already submitted to Rooney a week or so ago.

I'm not sure but the impression I get is that the following order of events happen (just my impression based on other transfers - inlcuding higuin)
1) The Club contact the agent (or visa versa) to see if the player is interested in palying for the club (or if the club are interested in the player)
2) discussions are had between the club and agent to see if in principle the figures are possible or even in the ball park, of being agreeable to all parties
3) only after 1 & 2 will the potential new club will speak to the new club and but in a bid.
Hence there may have been an offer put to Rooney/his agent but if that is no where near then no bid will be made.
I think that makes sence

Hi all heard this tonight whilst at a charity gala for blind football and 3 ov arsenals lady team was there, one was the goalie. She said deal is done between araenal and liverpool for reina and has been for 3months. arsenal agreed to keep quiet till liverpool got a replacement and they wudnt get quoted on stupid prices on targets if reina deal was known. Obviously I tried to get more info but was told no one knows anything round club but reina deal was known for a while. She did say bergkamp could be back at the club soon!

I never believe it when somewone has a long drawn out reason to how they heard of a rumour however this is the situation. reina wants a dream move to baca, baca like reina but see valdes as the better keeper, valdes has told baca he wants to leave at contract end in search of a new challenge but baca may look earlier for a longer term replacement and reina has told liverpool he wants champions league football and would like a move preferably back to spain. that's where arsenal enter if baca sign reina expect to see valdes, if valdes commits his future then possibly reina although the brazillian keeper is high in our thoughts. At this very time the only contact that has happened is from agents putting feelers out although arsenal are not the only team the agents are talking to.

Players don't know more about transfers than we do. Remember how Wilshere commented on the transfer deadline day the year we bought Arteta and co? He didn't knew anything about the dealings (but was just as thrilled as the rest of us).

Dont be stupid.
the only problem with reina if any is that he is home seek, wants to go back to spain only.
stop that reina to arsenal thing just bcoz they singed another keeper.
