Ed non transfer related question but do you know anything about Girouds injury?

Pretty sure EDS have contact in the club, they seem to know more about Theo than the media. Was just wondering.

{Ed002's Note - I cannot help about injuries and no clubs will make a statement about a player until any potential injury has been assessed - and that would typically not be for 24 hours or more after the game - once swelling has gone done etc.. Typically EPL clubs will mention injuries twice a week in statements and press releases - once after injuries have been assessed and once before the next game when the squad is announced - so typically a day after a game and a day before a game. Under normal circumstances that is all that can be reasonably shared. Asking about a particular player's injury might get some information - but I have no interest in going there at all. Perhaps the club will say something tomorrow.}

Hi eds. Iv seen a couple of rumours about danny welbeck to arsenal. Is there any truth? He might no be world class but is still only 23 and can play wide, wengers sort of play don't you think?

Seen a few reports linking us with Victor Wanyama (spelling) I never understood why we didn't try and sign him from celtic but I think he would be a great addition.

Any news there eds?

Ed002, is there any truth in Arsenal wanting to swoop for Paris Saint-Germain's Edinson Cavani with a bid of £32 million- by throwing in French striker Olivier Giroud also? I'm seeing a lot of it on the rumour sites & just wanted a bid of clearity. Thanxxx

Ed002, in what strikers are Arsenal still interested? Seems like most of our otyer targets have moved on or we have lost interest.

Welbeck is not what we need. We need a clinical finisher.

I know that you have said that a move is unlikely but what is the situation with Reus? Is it true that we had an agreement in place before the WC? Have we made a bid or at least inquired about his availibility?

{Ed002's Note - There was no agreement in place but a deal to take the player to Barcelona, his preferred destination, has not yet materialised. Dortmund would like to keep him and have made clear that offers and approaches from a number of sides (four from the EPL that I am aware of) have been pushed back. Barcelona may still bid. However, whilst there is a bunch of business happening at many of the high profile clubs - right now Reus does not seem likely.}

{Ed002's Note - I think more signings will come regardless. However, I do understand this morning that the price PSG has put on Rabiot is well beyond what Arsenal would be willing to pay but they still hope something can be worked out. There is nothing blocking a move for Khedira now.}

Have heard via a somewhat unreliable source (not Tw*tter) that Wenger is a deal for Llorente may be on the table should he not head back to Spain. Make of this what you will.

There is a push to get Arsenal interested in Toby Alderweireld.}

Is alderwield any good? If I remember right he was quite highly rated before moving to atleti, why do they want rid of him?
