It is being reported that Wenger has been given £100m to spend. From my knowledge of Arsenal's finances, this amount has been available to Wenger since Keith Edelman's time at the club. The problem is that Wenger doesnt believe in spending such funds. With funds raised from player sales of Bendtner, Arshavin, Rosicky, Dourou, etc. It must be possible to put together an awesome squad. I think Wenger will sign 3 or 4 players at best, hopefully a new keeper, a new LB, a new CB, new defensive midfield player & a quality forward.

An old experienced keeper would be good just for cover... A few little tweaks needed but Shezza is good enough!
Wenger will not spend 100 or 55 million pounds in summer,they just saying that because they want sell season tickets in next season.every spring same story when our game is poor,they promise big things will happen summer but eventually nothing will happend,its hard to believe that,i want to do so but i doubt no big names gomes in summer.maybe suarez but i dont think that hazard,gotze,podolski want to sign us at the moment.

First time in awhile that Usmanov is approaching 30% stake which means he can see arsenal book and basically rat out the board, possibility of corruption goin on at arsenal.

It's said 100m is the max, it's ranged between the 50-100m from the site I trust most, mind you the board could be adding projected sales prices, eg we have 70m and they're planning a 30m sale of our deadwood, I'm not saying they are it's just a suggestion people!
As for "we've had it for a few years" some places are saying, that's bull. If we had the likes of 50-100m you think we'd pf lost mata over like 3m or Cahill over 5m or Alvarez over 5m? Wenger can be a stubborn fool but I'm not sure he's completely stupid! (on the other hand If we'd of got mata the ox wouldn't of got game time or maybe worse, not been bought, cahill is terrible at Chelsea and Alvarez hasn't impressed me!)
For me, let's just meet halfway,at.....75m?, I'd like (I'd love it actually) for us to buy these players:
Baines/Schennikov
Hummels/Albiol
Gotze/Dzagoev (ideally both with Dzagoev Being free and all)
Podolski/Schrulle
I dont think hazard is the man for us! But I'm ready to eat my words, this could be cause I just really like gotze as a player, but for me Dzagoev is going to be a great, I don't think we need to spend over the top amounts, what we want and need are different , we NEED a lb, cam and a back up striker, but If we had the money I'd WANT a lb cam back up forward cb dm!

The real problem is that the English media completely simplify the workings of a football club. There is no magic jar with 100 mln sitting in it. Unless an interest free loan or a rights issue occurs, where is the money coming from?
Also - any estimations will Surely incorporate players sold.
Finally, as for wish lists; let's keep in mind that players have to be willing to come!
Hummels is not leaving BVB, frankly I doubt gotze will either. If they win the league, why should they?
The club has already bought 2 players, fantasic stadium, fantastic support...

Funny the person who responded to this saying 'it has nothing to do with season tickets' - just because the price is frozen, doesnt mean that the tickets are automatically sold. People still have to want to buy/update their season tickets, and arsenal fc saying they will buy new players is an OBVIOUS attempt to make people WANT a season ticket at the emirates.
And to the guy who responded saying 'if we would have got mata, ox might not have got game time' - well hate to burst your bubble, but mata is performing beyond the CURRENT ability of the ox. Signing mata would have been immense for us. Ox being rested a little more would have been fine.
Arsenal wont spend anywhere near 100m on players in the summer, might sell rvp for 25 mil and then buy suarez to replace him.

Odd responses to my original comment. Of course we need keepers. Szczesny is fine, but Fabianski wants out, Almunia's contract is finally up this summer, Mannone is simply n ot good enough. Thus, we need 2 keepers, as back up to Szczesny.
I think we need more that 4 players. !
We need more power, more pace, more quality and some experienced winners.
Power, - Too many people easily knocked off the ball, not winning battles and not aggressive enough
Pace - Our attacks are far too slow, the ball gets passes to death before we get to the oppositions 18 yard box.
Quality - its just not there, look at Barca, and R M there is absolutly no comparrison.
Winners - we have none, nor any experience, the team has looked lost all season.
There is a losing mentality in the squad now, and it will be difficult to shift without wholesale changes.
I would say, a minimum of,
1. A defensive coach who's got a clue about defending
2. A centre back, I would like an aggressive tough tackling player used to the premiership.
3. A left back
4. A defensive, hardworking midfielder, song just doesnt do it for me, he's all over the place and gets booked too often.
5. A quality attacking midfielder - I know we have Jack comming back, but we need another, or injuries will destroy our season again.
6. And a top quality striker.
We also need to keep our best players ( not usually something we are capable of doing ).
And get rid of all the deadwood, Squillaci, Denieilson, Diaby, Doujoru, Almunia, Arshavin, Bentdner, benyoun.
If no one wants to buy them, release them ! they are holding us back, seriously !
Your right about the needing winners, even a blind man could see this, someone in defence and midfield, but wenger wont get these people as he doesnt buy them, someone like De Rossi, and an english centre half that knowes the PL, someone like Roger Johnson, we have wiltshire back soon aswell who'll be like a new signing itsself, as for saying we dont keep our best players whatalot of nonsence, fab was with us for 8 years and you cant grudge him wanting to go to barca, and we got him for literally nothing and got 30 million for him....not exactly bad business!! Nasri was overrated anyway and was only after money, so 25 million for him was a shrewd peice of business again....so who else youtalking about?? problem is wenger has stuck to his guns and relied to much on youh development and not spending stupid money, he was lucky back when we were winning we he signed top class players for cheap money and hes been trying to replicate that but its not payed off to what he expected , but remember it was only last year we shuda won the league but stumbled at the last hurdle due to inexperience, we're only a couple of players short of being back up there , i dont think Hazard is worth the big fee tbh, would be better with podolski, goetze, r johnson, montolivio
I stand by my view that Wilshere is currently the difference between us and the spurs.
We dont need a RB or a GK or CB or LB.
Santos was playing just fine before he got injure and gibbs has not had a decent run to prove anything, although his defense is suspect.
Verm and koser and per need more game time. If you have not noticed even though our defense looks shabby its better than last year. the problem is the midfield cant hold the ball and there is only soo much the defense can do when its constantly bombarded...in that sense the barca defense is worse but you dont see them crying.
Song needs to stop creating and we need a creative player. I have always thought song and wilshere working close to each other is smart play as both can tackle or will tackle and they both have an eye for the forward pass.
For me theo is cooked and ready...bench or ship him out...Podolski and his left foot is necessary...playing him, persie and gervinho upfront is as lethal as it gets.
Gotze is my candidate for the CAM role, hes fast, technical and a bit messiesque when stronger defenders push him off the ball.
What we need most is not a wholesale change to 1st team but more talent in depth so when we do have injuries we dont go...oh crap its djourou or squillachi...we go...ok lets see what this player can do.
I expect wenger to ship out crap and buy 2-3 good or quality or super players whatever he calls that word. promote from the academy and we will be fine...
If we had wilshere, Gotze and podolski this year i think that 17 point gap would not look like it is now...we dont need a major overhaul...we just need to get rid of crap, promote players who are hungry to prove themselves and a few key signings in the cesc and nasri spot and we are cooking with the best again.
Never has wenger done a full squad revamp where he sells 10 players and buys 10 experienced players...at best he will buy 5 youngsters and 2-3 big names if that money is what he has.

Thats makes no sense, his point was fabregas was at arsenal almost a decade, longer than most foriegn imports stay, and he only left to go to his home club barca, and for a lovely 35 million, nasri was simply just after money so good move getting rid, clichy was a liability for years anyway...again wenger correct to sell, Hleb again, cant grudge someone going to barcelona, Flamini was a squad player at arsenal at his time, not one of the top dogs, he made his name more at Milan.....so i believe you dunno what your talking about !!!
