Is a top talent but tbh I'm not sure Chelsea would sell him to us. Having said that though I'd like to see him at the Emirates

Watford fan here, would suit arsenal down to the ground, great prospect.

He does look a great player but I heard that the Chelsea staff see him as a long term Lampard replacement, wanting to bring him in next season. They don't need the money, they'll be fine on FFP with him.

Any truth in David dein returning to the club?

He is involved with usmanov and heads up red&white I think they own 25% but could be wrong there and they need 30% to launch an official takeover, but I get the feeling people are reluctant to sell! If David Dein is pushing for usmanov it can only be a good thing

Not sure if Dein can force his way back in through the vehicle of Red & White holdings however I do believe that
(a) It would be good for the club to have him around if we are going to attempt to buy a few players.
(b) It would not only please Wenger but it would probably take a lot of pressure off him which can only be good.
(c) let's be honest, there is probably more pressure on the board right now than ever before so if ever there was an opportune time for Dein to make a play then the time is now. The only better possible timing for him to strike would be (God forbid) if we fail to make the top four.

And it would be good to get Dein junior to stop marketing our best players to other teams.

Red & White Securities own 29. 96%.

I done some stewarding work at the emirates 2 seasons ago, david dein was at the game and I managed to speak to him. when I asked him about returning to arsenal his said to me you never know what could happen but I hope to be back soon. if he did return players that we go for will arrive no more drawn out saga's. in my opinon the problems started when the ousted him as wenger had more to work on rather then focusing on results as gazidis doesn't know how to deal with a major football club.

Pretty sure Usmanov fired Dein from Red and White holdings.
And with him being dropped from the board by current board memebers, I can't see there being a way back for him.
Would love to see it though. This man is Arsenal through and through.

I don't think Dein was fired from red&white where did you hear that?

Reaching 30% is no longer a requiredment to make a takeover bid. Usmanov can launch a takeover whenever he wants, he just decides not to.
Also Kroenke has NEVER sold any of his shares in any of his sports teams so do not expect him to start doing do now.

We want David Dein. unfortunately we got David Brent.

I thought you only had to launch an official takeover at 30% if there was no majority shareholder?, and since Kroenke is the majority shareholder and isn't going to sell his shares Usmanov is powerless either way. Kroenke as the majority shareholder has the power to stop Usmanov sitting on the board, but if Usmanov does get to 30% I think he is allowed to see the finance books but not to sure on that, he may have to be sitting on the board to have the privilege

Apparently we are now looking at Angelo Ogbonna (Torino CB) and Max Gonalons (Lyon CDM). Don't get me wrong they are both good young players, but just like Amorebieta (spelling may be wrong) and Capoue, these players just don't seem good enough (except Ogbonna who looks incredible). Shouldn't we be linked with a better class of player. Arsenal haven't gone that far down in everyones estimation. There are some transfers we have missed out on. Mata, Kagawa, Cahill, Samba, Dembele. to name afew. I hope we get 2/3 of these defensive players in during summer. Maybe we need to accept Hummels, Cheilleni, De Rossi, Jovetic, Isco. are out of our reach. Would love to see big changes to this team, on and off the pitch. Interestingly, how much do you think we will spend this summer. Do we have anymore stars to sell. Could see maybe Szeszecny, Sagna and Vermaelen leave. If there are no big departures I can only see 40m being spent on 3 average/good players.

Did you list Samba?
We can't compete with City and Chelsea wages. Otherwise Mata and Hazzard could well have been in the better half of London wearing Red.
