heard that arsenal have made a £42m bid for suarez, thought to be £35m cash plus £7m add onns

arsenal to miss out on higuan who is set for napoli medical and is currently discussig personal terms -

Believable36 Unbelievable33

I'd have preferred Higuain. But seems another one we've missed out on again. Sorry who said Higuain was a done deal?

Agree0 Disagree0

40mill + 1. epic {Ed030's Note - Not really,It greatly reduces you're slim chance of getting him,It will make Liverpool more reluctant to sell him to Arsenal. }

Agree0 Disagree0

Liverpool would probably agree if it was a straight 41 mill, why add 7 mill of addons which most of these addons will include arsenal winning trophies which they haven't for some time. this is what Liverpool would be thinking. We're leaving the door open for Real Madrid to make a move as soon as higs is gone {Ed030's Note - I think Liverpool will look for around £50 million straight. }

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal won't pay 50 mill. if we have gone to 40-41-42, whichever is correct. 2-3 million at most and they will pull out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Deluded to think lfc will accept that

Just hope we get someone at the end of it.

Apparently 42mil 35cash +7 in add ons

Agree0 Disagree1

35 plus 7 in add ons any one else think it will be enough me personally I think not think saurez will have to put in a transfer requiest for anything to happen

Agree1 Disagree0

42 mil apparently,. Just go for it Wenger!

NE Gooner

Agree1 Disagree1

Liverpool will not accept 35m + 7m add ons as the Mail are reporting. Why do we not just offer 45m cash and get the deal done before Madrid do!

Agree0 Disagree0

Bloody hell how long does it take to put another bid in if it was Chelsea man it'd or city this would be done starting to think its all bo!0cks

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal only bidding to make madrid bid and sell us higuin as will need the money. They know deep down suarez won't come, suarez happy to not comment as helps him get his madrid move. Why wid wenger pay £40mill plus for someone banned for 2 months and will want to join madrid in future?

Agree0 Disagree0

Just wait and see what happens ffs do your complaining wants it's finished

Agree0 Disagree0

It was £40,000, 001

Bernard
Suarez
Cesar

Are all close to being Arsenal players as I posted before there has been a offer of 40m by Arsenal which Liverpool have decided to accept knowing Real Madrid won't pay that fee for Suarez and all other suitors who have interest are currently unwilling to. Arsenal are the only team to bid for Suarez as to date and Livepool have already entered negotiations with Valencia for Soldado and are close to agreeing a fee.

A defensive midfielder will be signed and this should be followed by a defensive signing due to our recent injuries.

Fellaini/Matuidi and Fellaini are all targets and we have small interest in Gustavo although his club are in talks with Wolfsburg now. The above three are seen as better targets with a greater physical presence and dominance on the ball in comparison to Gustavo who although is quite tall has a very slim frame. Also the fact Gustavo is behind Paulinho/Sandro and Ramires for Brazil has made him a less priority target.

Believable32 Unbelievable56

I apologize I did forget to out Kondogbia in that list of DM and he is a very realistic target who is seen as a technical player as well as a strong tackler which suits Arsenal's style of play perfectly.

Sky has already reported we were weighing bidding for him but I can confirm we are in talks with Sevilla and he is the likeliest option for DM.

Lol I like it when people make things up and guess which players are coming in with random dates and pretend they're 'insiders' just because they've got info from their best friends uncles cat that knows a dog that's got a pet rabbit with one leg and a baseball cap

Big mick

Agree2 Disagree0

I thought Bernard was rubbished as a hoax. Was/is there real interest?

I'd be pretty happy if we got Suarez, Bernard, Cesar and Fellaini. That would be real strengthening, but it also seems possible that we won't get any.

Liverpool will not accept 40m end of story and they defo not going to accept the 35m + 7m add ons that the mail are reporting tonight! if we want Suarez then we would need to offer 45-50 cash I reckon!

Agree0 Disagree0

When asked bernaard didn't comfirm or deny the link with arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

Strange that considering the bid has been rejected and the chances of saldado ending up at liverpool are less than slim.

Real Madrid have accepted 30M-ish for Higuain and he is on his way to Napoli to discuss personal terms.

Believable42 Unbelievable19

I thought he is still on his way to London for a medical with us.

Arsenal to announce Csar, Williams and hopefully Higuan or Surez on monday July 29th, when Wenger and the squad has returned from the Asia-tour.

Believable27 Unbelievable70

0% chance of this happening

Agree5 Disagree1

I am not certain we will sign a keeper, as we have Szczesny & Fabianski with Martinez as 3rd choice.
I have a feeling we will sign Williams, a player I like very much. he can settle in easily as he plays in the Premier. he doesn't affect our 'foreign' quota and I think he can also cover at left-back, with Monreal injured, this could be vital. We would then have 4 centre backs & 4 full backs.
Higuain is still a possibility, I prefer Suarez.

Agree2 Disagree1

You are guessing- so you could be right, you could be wrong.

Agree2 Disagree0

If I was going to guess a date I'd say 8th of August at the arsenal members day (a good way to appease the fans) or on hmm I believe 28th of August after our champions league qualifiers. Don't just pluck a date. Have some depth to it.

Also sick of hearing Suarez' name. 6 game ban at the start of the Season and don't rate him.

Agree0 Disagree1

We won't be getting Hig or Williams! Cesar is probably the most likely and I'd like Suarez too but I can imagine Brendan Rogers blocking our move for him!

Agree1 Disagree1

Absolutely no chance - I am now coming round to the harsh reality of no new signings and an injury hit squad starting the new season - another complete shambles - and I feel sorry for the season ticket holders who have been duped yet again by empty promises - anyone out there that can play centre back because we could be shrt come August 17th?

Agree0 Disagree1

Wenger is doing what he has done for the last 9 seasons posturing, pretending to make bids (well below the asking value) for players he knows he will not spend decent and proper money for - Wenker is a JOKE the sooner he's gone the better.

Agree0 Disagree2

I'm bored with the posters who keep saying this will happen by such and such a time.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger will always be given new contracts because he saves the club money and after all the people who run the club are not football fans, but businessmen who just count their money. If it continues much longer like this, we will fall from a top 4 side and the future will be bleak - get rid of Wenger now!

Agree1 Disagree1

"after all the people who run the club are not football fans, but businessmen who just count their money"

So what difference will it make if it's Wenger or another manager?

Agree1 Disagree0

Because another mamager may not stand for mediocrity and actually demand new signings. Would Mourinho settle for 2nd best?

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop talking rubbish

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm sick of all this Wenger bashing. You must be stupid if you think that Arsene has any say in how much money gets spent. He is just another employee who has to do what he is told or is asked to leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

Same I'm sick of the fickle Wenger badgers. Get with the program (behind the team) or get off the train (or f&£k off)

Suarez will come Arsenal.
Wenger being clever by not agreeing to sell Gervinho to Roma just yet. expect him plus 30M to be used in a deal to bring Suarez to Arsenal.
You heard it here first!
Peace

Believable8 Unbelievable119

First of all, swap deals do not take place anymore. I am a bit unsure to why it gets suggested so often.

Higuain has also now agreed terms with Napoli and is due to sign shortly. This will provide Real Madrid with the necessary funds to put in offer for Suarez - the players first choice.

I hope I am wrong but it looks like we may miss out on both. If we do, I just can't see us buying a Striker.

Special K

Agree4 Disagree0

All Wenger have to do is bid what Real wants (£32m, same as Napoli has bid) for Higuaín and he will come to us. Higuaín wants to come to us in favour of Napoli.

Agree3 Disagree0

Yeah and we'll offer you 10mil plus Spearing for Carzola

Agree2 Disagree2

Gervinho has a rubbish reputation in England, no way he'd end up at another English club when the top French ones are keen on him.

Agree2 Disagree0

I think you all forget that the hig has agreed terms with us.

he has not agreed terms with napoli.

malaga gooner

Agree0 Disagree1

Arsenal is LS first choice.

Real are his second choice.

However Real do not even want Suarez.

Right now their main targets are Gareth Bale and Ibra. {Ed052's Note - I hardly think Arsenal is LS's first choice when his agents had been speaking to every other club in Europe, mostly Barcelona and RM to get him a move, and then approached Arsenal and Chelsea}

Agree1 Disagree1

Nobody wants gervinho

Agree0 Disagree0

Higuain boat has sailed. and quite soon the suarez boat will sail, and then wenger will start with his excuses. yearly ritual

Agree3 Disagree0

Same old story, lots of hype about new signings and no delivery on the promise. Time for AW to go, and get someone in who is prepared to take the club forward and not just look to line the pockets of the board.

Agree2 Disagree0

Haha! Expect Liverpool to respond with a 5m plus Spearing offer Wilshere for the bant! It's going to cost £55m for Suarez and we are not going to pay it!

Agree0 Disagree0

As happens every year, we'll end up with a couple of unheard of players. One will be rubbish and one will end up at man city in a years time. Possibly we'll scrape the barrel for a loan signing, and my bet, as mentioned on here 4 weeks ago is demba ba. To suggest Gervinho will be used in a swap deal with liverpool is nonsense. He's too atrocious for words and Rodgers is no genius, but no fool either.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lets' face it, the Arsenal scouts are letting us down - recent purchases of Gervinho, Park and Chamack are all but gone. Arshavin has gone and so has Squillaci. We continue to buy players such as Campbell, Wellington and Ryo and then send them out on loan - in some cases never to be seen again. Cazorla is clearly an exception and we need more quality. On top of this, we can not get rid of Bendtner and still can only loan out Djourou - basically nobody wants our players anymore and you have to question why we buy rubbish. Furthermore, we are now approaching the next season and have Kos, Podolski, Monreal and Diaby injured - It is all falling to pieces.

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga - is that you posting under another guise?

Suarez is too good for Arsenal let's just admit it guys, we should go for someone that will want to play for us.
