Arsene has been spot on. The problem is injuries has wrecked our game plan, as usual. Not sure how Arsene can remedy the injury situation we get year after year though.

1. Goalie: I am sorry but I am sold on Fabianski. I think he is a good goalie and will get better. His instincts are superb and so I am not so worried about goalie - Fabiansky and Szcezny will work well.
2. Defense: The problem is we lost Vermaleen. Once we lost him our plans were wrecked. The defense was supposed to be Verma (with his speed, power and talent) alongside Squilacci (slower but highly experienced). Kos and Djourou were meant to be relief for one or the other but Verma was supposed to be our field marshall. That by the way is the set up many teams have. Once we lost Verma, our defense wobbled.

In Spurs game, Arsene did make an error to take out Nasri and Chamakh, because, as someone mentioned above, Nasri, Chamakh and Song have been our standouts this season. They give 100% for the entire game. Taking two out of three out was bound to destabilize us and that is the mistake AW made IMO.

IMO, we need to work on four things:

1. finishing! If we can coolly finish the many chances we create we win many games. That means we should look to bring in a real goal poacher if we can (Vela, MC, and RVP are not real goal poachers. they score but not real poachers a la Torres, Eto, Raul, etc etc). We need one of them.
2. Shooting: We need to take shots on goal. Shot from long range. Just shoot! Until we remedy this issue, we will work too hard for goals.
3. Concentration: We need to maintain concentration until the end. You can see the panic set in around the 75th minute. Not sure why but it is there.
4. Arshavin: We need to rest the lad. Period. Give him a rest for at least 5 games. he is tired. But problem is with Diaby, Rosicky, Fabregas, etc etc all crocked, who comes in?

At the end of the day though, we are 3rd, 2 points out from first. So no need to panic IMO. Relax.
