Literally just read we have been linked to him again. didn't realise we had any kind of an actual agreement.
Id take him all day long, him and le coq offer quality and strength in depth. Also healthy competition for one another. In a problem area that we've needed to address since gilberto. Hope it happens, not holding my breathe though! i'm hoping signings are made quickly this summer, can't be asked with another drawn out protracted transfer window with on going will he or won't he sagas!
Still like to see an additional centre back and a genuinely world class forward brought in aswell as a holding mid! Peoples thoughts?

{Ed002's Note - There is nothing new - Arsenal remain interested in the player.}

According to Monaco defender Abdennour's agent, arsenal scouts never miss any of his games, "I think he has proved today that he is one of the best in his position in Europe. He is only 25 and a lot of clubs re interested in him.
"Arsenal do not miss any of his matches. They were there again (at Monaco vs Juventus). They know him very well.
"Other big clubs like Tottenham are also interested. Some big Spanish and Italian clubs are very interested. PSG are very interested in him. They really have an eye on Aymen.
"But we are not yet at the negotiation stage. PSG have only just been eliminated from the Champions League. The club has other things to deal with.
"But for his progression, the only club capable of signing him in France is PSG.
"We do not have any offers yet. Now it is not yet time to make offers. Now is time for approaches. But things will go very quickly as soon as the season is over."
From what I've seen he's a good player, hopefully we can follow up our scout if with some interest!

{Ed002's Note - I understand that Juventus, Zenit, Arsenal, Spurs and Barcelona have had Abdennour watched this season the player has his heart set on a move to PSG. His agent, in making an unsolicited approach to PSG, apparently used his being left footed as his great selling point. Juventrus have dropped their interest for now and have a much preferred "left footed" centre back target. Zenit will not pusue their interest.}

When you say the approach by the agent was unsolicited, do you mean by psg? If so, why did he bother
