I think we need these dominoes to fall before we can make our move. Clubs won't want to give up a key player without a replacement lined up.
We are a big club but just have to let the bigger clubs eat first before we can truly get our players.

for higuain its the transfer fee, for icardi its the salary demands. yes i get it. but when it came to walcott we gave in, rather than say, sell him and buy a player who would have made that difference.
with sanchez and ozil i'm sure they are baulking at the salary only to have them walk out on us next season with a year to go.

its not about the absurd demands, he has been with us 10 years and what exactly has he proven? scores in a few big games he is a big game striker?
he has been dead average for the past 4 years because he was too young before that. so now he is in his peak and i don't think he can get any better, he just does not think about position.
if we counter yes he is brilliant, but how many times do we play barcelona and bayern and madrid to rely on that?
i like how liverpool have sold players who they feel don't fit into their model. ibe gone, . perhaps a bit early but to win you need to make ruthless decisions.
here we are hanging onto anything of any value and taking up squad positions and detrimental to the progress of the club.
giroud, walcott, gibbs, mertesacker, sczesny, i mean getting them off the payroll itself should be a priority.
