RE: Higuain - Everything agreed between Arsenal and RM, with the only hold-up being the imminent arrival of their new manager (Telegraph).

Juventus meanwhile will have a phone conference tomorrow with Man City regarding Carlos Tevez.

not my sources, but the obvious land of rumours aka twitter is picking up we have also approached negredo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ancelotti just appointed RM Manager

Agree0 Disagree0

I like negredo, but I say he is probably a back up in case Ancelotti decides to keep Higuain.
I know real are wealthy but they have to trim the fat somewhere tp pay Ronaldo

Agree0 Disagree0

I once bought negredo on football manager and he smashed it at arsenal won us the treble

Agree0 Disagree0

Update - Ancelloti in situ, now is the put up time for Madrid

Agree0 Disagree0

Juve agreed tevez it's now or never

Arsenal's medical team has flown out to Spain to complete the deal for higuain. If you remember, we did this for the podolski deal, when the medical team flew out to Germany.

Believable71 Unbelievable28

Nothing can be done until the new manager comes in, according to Real Madrid's wishes

Agree0 Disagree0

Why is it we always seem to jump through hoops for Barca and now R. M.
So the transfer cannot ne agreed until Ancelotti is in post. Oh really, well in that case we cannot pay all the money up front after all.
And why o why are we sending a medical team to Madrid instead of insisting Higuian comes to Colney pdq

Agree0 Disagree1

A don't understand why if its all agreed why they wanting to for the new manager?incase he wants to keep the player? Seems very strange situation

Agree1 Disagree0

Waiting for a new manager is a smoke screen to increase the price. Perez buys and sells the player at that club. also isn't it an election yr for the president, he needs cash to buy his next gallatico

Agree0 Disagree0

I really hope Arsenal do get the signature of Higuain because they need the quality back in the squad they had years ago

Higuain Deal agreed in principle with the player and club Real stalling on signing it off until new manager in place.

Believable42 Unbelievable10

Now they have a manager, let's see you true this is

Don't know where this will go here but Tevez's guys are reportedly at Juventus v soon (tomorrow?), meaning the Higuain deal is all but home. Telegraph's columnist saying all agreed, waiting on RM new manager to come in first. So nearly there, if logic is followed.

Believable30 Unbelievable11

Man city will want him replaced. Pray it's not Hig.

Agree0 Disagree1

'Tevez's guys are at Juv, meaning Higuain is all but home'

That's not logic. How do you know Juv wouldn't want BOTH players? I still think we have them, but that's ill logic to use. More to the point would be Hig. having seen the Arsenal medical team

Agree1 Disagree0

Because a) they have llorente already, and b) they are skint. That's logic.

As I posted yesterday (just wasn't put up for all to read) I heard from a very reliable media source that Higuain's preferred choice is Juve & the likely hood of him coming to the Emirates is becoming highly unlikely.

Believable27 Unbelievable45

'the likely hood of him coming to the Emirates is becoming highly unlikely'. please. Juventus just can't afford him, surely? - they had to take llorente on a free, and are in for Tevez - remember rumours their first bid was 19 mill euros and they wanted to pay that in chunks. Generally, after the last few days, there must be a million people running around with their pants on fire. No wonder the world is in such a state economically as the truth is like an alien concept to everyone.

Agree0 Disagree0

I also belive Higuain's preferred destination is Juve but it seems if Arsenal offer a better package to Real Madrid he will end up in London.

I don't think juve are going to offer RM anything amazing.

Arsene being a businessman will not get ripped off if the price gets to high and will not buy, but even so juve aren't in a position even in a bidding war to push it up much.

Ballague (Hopefully spelt correctly) has tweeted, both have agreed in principle so its a case of best offer wins 'apparently'. I personally can't see it happening has Mata Saga written all over it.

Agree0 Disagree0

If his preferred destination is juventus, why is he talking to us and agreeing terms. You're not a spurs fan are you?

Agree0 Disagree1

Because he's not stupid holding out or one deal when it might not materialize.

imagine if an english player had roma or valencia bidding for him, he prefers valencia as they came 5th in their league, but roma would be ok if the valencia deal fell through as they finished 6th

Agree1 Disagree0

You realise he bought a house in Hampstead over two weeks ago? Yet, his prefered choice is of course, Juve ;-)

And is your Media Source Tancredi Palmeri by chance? lol please.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest I am getting fed up with all this. If he really wants to join us surely it can all be agreed with RM appointing a new manager. I have a gut feel that just like last summer we will dither for too long and miss out. If we have all this money to spend then what difference does 1 or 2 million make, especially when the impact of not making the top 4 is much greater. Get the deals done now before we end up buying 2nd rate injury prone players.

Ed is there any interests for podolski cheers {Ed027's Note - Yes, but he wants to stay, Arsenal want him to stay, BVB & Lazio hold an interest, but for Arsenal to consider anything it will have to be more than 15m

Just when we thought that the purchase of Argentinian striker Gonzalo Higuain from Spanish giants Real Madrid was simply a matter of signing on the dotted line, Guillem Balague has tweeted something regarding the transfer that throws a spanner in the works. He tweeted: "Juventus and Arsenal have agreed personal terms with Higuain and will fight it off with Madrid. Biggest offer will take him"

This is bad news on two counts for the red half of North London. Firstly, competing with Juventus for the signature will be extremely hard due to the financial clout of the Serie A club and also because of their history. It is now a lottery of which club Higuain will pick after Arsenal fans had previously thought that they had wrapped up the deal. Secondly, in order to beat Juve to the signing, they may have to pay up to £10m more than the previously quoted price of £22m, which could set back other negotiations for further transfers.

Balague is a reliable source, working for tv and Spanish paper AS; if this tweet is indeed true, then it could break the hearts of many Arsenal fans who were already dreaming of Higuain in an Arsenal shirt. {Ed027's Note - Juve want to pay in instalments or part ex for a striker, Madrid won't want a part ex or instalments, we have the edge. Just think they were interested in Higuain a while ago, could of had this under wraps, same with Jovetic.

Believable19 Unbelievable44

If we don't get higuain, we'll rely on Giroud again, depending on how he does, and if bale stays, it could be 4. Spurs 5. Arsenal, we need a goalscorer like higuain

Agree0 Disagree0

Financial clout?haha a would hardly put juve in that category a would probley say we have more financial clout then them

Agree3 Disagree0

Well, this is nothing really new as such. We knew juve are interested as well, but I thought what was attractive about arsenal's offer was paying all cash, not instalments like juve?
I am amusing that hasn't changed, so surely arsenal are still in the driving seat?
You say financial clout of juve? No, you're wrong about that, arsenal are in a far stronger financial position.

LG

Agree1 Disagree0

Juve are reported to have money problems and it seems Madrid are choosing the club and not the player, so I say that makes Arsenal favourites.

Agree0 Disagree0

I want to reiterate what Ed has said - despite all their posturing, Juve don't have that much money to spend at all and certainly won't be landing half the players they seem to be 'about to sign' and actually they seem to resemble us! We definitely have the upper hand and can offer not only more in one go but more in total. There really is no excuse for failing to sign Higuain save for him choosing Juve over us for personal reasons e. g. he prefers them.

Agree0 Disagree0

His dad also seems to confirm this, saying it is now up to madrid. I am still confident as we seem to be very able and keen to outbid juve in terms of overall amount and payment arrangements. Also history is irrelevant as the player has agreed terms with both teams already, it is down to which bid is best for madrid.

Agree0 Disagree0

Balague is an person!

He has been quiet recently so needs to stick his fat head above the parapet because he wants some attention!

The bloke is a clown, don't sweat it!

Oh dear, you my friend are an absolute fear monger and sound like you write for the D#ily M$il or something. Everybody knows we have more hard cash than the Old lady. why do you think they already purchased Llorente on a freebie? To be honest I don't even think they're interest, but are being mentioned by agents/Madrid to drive our interest. So chill out folks and watch the good times roll! wooooooooo

Agree0 Disagree0

I posted the original message, the info was copied from another website. I can't say one way or the other if we will or will not get higuian. It would APPEAR we have the upper hand in the transfer negotiations due to the rumoured financial package, however is there any evidence of the terms we are offering?

All I can say at this moment the right noises APPEAR to be coming out of the higuian camp, It maybe that juv is his preferred destination however we ate offering the better deal which is why real are more than likely pushing for him to come to us.

Dont get me wrong I want this deal to happen but have been burnt to many times over the past few summers so until I see shirts and handshakes I will continue to be the pessimist.

Agree0 Disagree0

Love the way the poster has just quoted a tweet which as simple as what higuain a father said yesterday and what every tabloid has said that it will be either juv or afc and then everything else is utter sceptical bs nothing factual at all

Agree0 Disagree0

Juve are in loads of debt

Agree0 Disagree0

A wordy post that says nothing other than: Juve are richer than us, so they'll get Higuain.

. erm, NO! Doughnut!

We have more cash available (as in, ACTUALLY available), plus we're offering the full fee and not installments (as Ed mentioned), AND it's already well known that Higuain is Juve's second choice after Jovetic.

Bar any f**k ups, this should happen. We're in a better situation that any club interested in Higuain.

Agree0 Disagree0

Gm is not a reliable source.
he said 4 summers in a row cesc would leave and he didnt.
he said henry would leave for several years in a row and he didnt.
he makes up his mind as he goes.

Ed if djourou is sold who would you say is likely to replace him cheers {Ed027's Note - I can't say, he has to be sold first, rumours suggest Williams, I hope for a younger defender. Zouma? He's been of interest

Believable7 Unbelievable11

Zoumas also of intrest of Anzhi, Chelsea and Bayern to note a few

Lucas

Zouma is going to Anzhi, I believe.
