Couple of interesting reports:
1) Wilshere is possibly out for the rest of the season. Very odd to be out so long with the injury he sustained.
2) Wenger wants to oversee a major overhaul of the squad for next season, which is clearly needed, as the following players look likely to depart; Arteta, Debuchy, Flamini and Rosicky. I also believe the following may leave as well; Ospina (not happy being no.2) , Ox (something isn't right) , Gibbs (reports that we are looking at left backs) . Obviously players out on loan, such as Szczesny, Jenkinson, etc may go.
I believe Wenger will go either, if pressure from the fans becomes too intense or he feels he can't progress any further.
When he goes, being in his late 60s, I can only see him taking on a job at a top club, possibly PSG or managing the French national team. Physically he appears well capable of managing into his mid-70's. As with most Arsenal fans, I get a little frustrated with him, but if and it's a big if, he overhauls the squad with the 4 or 5 players we need, including a couple of top signings, this may give him a new lease of life in the eyes of the fans.

I was just wondering if id want him doing the overhaul. Think the answer for me is yes. As long as he isn't going to mess around getting the players he wants and doesn't go for cheaper alternatives.

Wenger has had umpteen opportunities to manage at top top level clubs over the years and passed on them to stay with arsenal.

I think your probably onto something with the France job should it become available and if he was offered don't see him turning it down.

I think le prof will be grabbing a glass of incredibly expensive wine and putting his feet up when he leaves us!

A fergie-esque backroom advisory role my be on the cards at a push. For me he'll build a challenging squad then bequeath it to a new manager. It's just a very wenger thing to do I. m. o.

Personally I think he's more likely to do little to the squad this summer allowing the players one more chance to come good Gav which will also leave whatever resources are available for the new manager the following summer to rebuild as he sees best rather than inherit more Arsene type signings who he may not consider right for his ideas.
Just my view and it's all guess work until either new players actually arrive or we kick off the next season as we are more or less.
