Juventus and Manchester City have both agreed a fee of around £10 million for Tevez. Much more affordable for Juventus given their current financial situation. It also confirms that Higuain is almost a done deal for us, with our only named competition pulling out of the race.

The only potential stumbling block now would be if Ancelotti decides he wants Higuain in his squad. This is extremely unlikely given his dissatisfaction at the club.

Expect an announcement for a medical before Friday.

Another stumbling block is if City decide they want Gonzalo. They have just lost Tevez, they are not in for Cavani and can swap Djeko for Gonzalo. GH played his best football for Madrid under the current City Manager. We need to move double fast on this.

Or if city decide tha higuain is a good replacement.

Lets hope so cz this is going on to long. got a mata feel about it big time. get it signed get him training preseason to gel with team start season quicker than last year we might frighten teams again

Agree1 Disagree0

Everyone needs to stop jumping the gun. Transfer window hasn't even open yet so can't see Arsenal making any announcements until then. For example, Sanogo; we all know he has signed and on his way, but where is the announcement.

Further, we all know about Man City and Cheasea's business, but given that registration opens on the 1st, their signings aren't technically official.

It will happen when it happens, unless it doesn't in which case it won't.

10 mil for Tevez? That seems kind of low.

Agree0 Disagree0

200k wage I expect.

Agree0 Disagree0

Higuain isn't even good he will be a massive flop. We should buy someone like adebayor? Tottenham will probably sell for ten mil worth a try?

Agree0 Disagree1

Read back what you have just written! And say it out loud! Ade why on earth would anyone want to pay 10m for him. He is the most money grabbing b******* in the premier league. He is a money motivated player. He plays well until he gets his overpaid wages, then chills and does f all half a season.

Worries me that city might turn there attention to him as they have been interested in the past I believe

Higuain's father said his son doesn't want to go to a club like Man city where their is 3 top class player's all fighting for the one centre forward position and playing time is limited. He said his son want's to goto a club where he is no. 1 in the position where he plays and feels loved. Just hope £200,000 pound a week doesn't turn his head the other way. Finger's crossed.

Agree1 Disagree0

Exactly. Money seems to talk sometimes. Just want us to hurry and announce it and then focus on another player

{Ed027's Note - Hi all, could all requests of player profiles be sent to the player profiles page, some people are unhappy that it is too LFC based, so here is your chance to change that

Arsenal have reportedly had a 7 million pound bid for Tin Jedvaj of Dinamo Zagreb. He is a hugely talented 17 year old center back, hope this one comes off.

Believable38 Unbelievable32

Sorry, I meant to say 'had a 7 million bid ACCEPTED for Tin Jedvaj'.

Agree1 Disagree0

Super if its true!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope this is true. watch a bit of him on youtube looks very good for a youg man. but you all know what rumours are like!

Agree0 Disagree0

Could be another of Wenger's signings out of left-field.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just had a look at him and he looks like a good prospect

Agree0 Disagree1

But I do think £7million would be a massive over spend

Agree0 Disagree1

3434, you say that, but if he ends up being worth 30 million in about 4 or 5 years time we're laughing. Well worth a go in my opinion, provided we sign some top quality first team players first

RE:-putneygooner, I not heard of him but Dinamo do have quite the reputation for making good players in recent years so I'll take your word for it that he is another, but on your comment about him maybe being worth 30m plus, that will mean we'll sell him for 15m then yeah? spurs got 30m for berbatov, 18m for carrick, 30m plus for modric. We got 16m each for Vieira and Henry, and 29 for Cesc, the best in their positions at the time of sale

Agree0 Disagree1

Perfect signing of a 4th cb. He's young and may be one for the future. This show's wenger's confidence in our back line. Looks like we'll have good competition at each position now

Agree1 Disagree0

If being the keyword there,

he could end up being cack and us end up not renewing his contract earning us -£7m. fun

but he does look decent, loan deal at reading or southampton would be nice straight off the bat

Agree0 Disagree0

Or, preferably, we don't sell him at all! Wouldn't that be nice?

Agree1 Disagree0

What about issac hayden and ignasi miquel wern't they supposed to be our fourth choice center backs showing so much promise?

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry but he's on his way to tottenham
