We're preparing a new bid for Suarez according to reports. Possible it could be submitted tomorrow. With personal terms supposedly already agreed, i'm getting pretty hyped about this now!

NE Gooner

Believable36 Unbelievable57

Iam a liverpool fan an don't care where suarez goes as long as the 50m is paid cause that's what he's worth an liverpool will stick by there valuation there's not much suarez can do about it so pay the money or look else where you wont get a world class striker for less now days

Agree0 Disagree3

26 Jul 2013 23:00:32
dont no why suarez would want to come to arsenal we are no bigger than liverpool. Might not get 4th spot if we don't make good signings

Agree0 Disagree3

Don't think so. Suarez is using Arsenal to flush out Madrid. John Henry is sitting back with a fat cigar waiting for the 45 million plus to come in.

Tommy Gunn

Agree1 Disagree0

Think we should just offer the 50 before anyone else comes in for him

Agree0 Disagree1

Dunno about this Liverpool is bigger than Arsenal stuff. Livpool has a massive fan base and a great history, but so does Arsenal; both clubs are big clubs and part of the G14 if I remember correctly. Right now, Arsenal are better and richer and can offer Champions League, which is all a modern, international player cares about - s'all I'm saying.

Peace.

Agree4 Disagree0

If Suarez joins Arsenal top class players will follow.

If Arsenal had Suarez upfront where do you think they would have finished?

Agree1 Disagree0

Maybe Wenger is using Suarez to impress the fans but all has already been planned. He has no intention of signing him and this saga will drag on until the last day of the transfer window. Then Wenger will come out and say 'we tried', just giving the impression he has changed his ways and wanted to spend big on top players.

Agree2 Disagree2

Suarez with his past history isn't worth £50 million. He's had an 18 match ban over the last 2 season so for me I think 40 is generous. Suarez without the attitude is a different story. I hope if we get him there will be a clause in this contract for 'no pay' for un-necessary ban.

Agree1 Disagree0

I agree, arsenal won't sign. any big players!
as stated above.
wenger will just say we tried, to sign the best!
just to keep fan happy.
hope it not true.
but I think ramsey could be coming good, at last. as I think he~s being poor!
northerngooner

Agree1 Disagree0

Just read online, that wenger says!
no deals any where near close.
and stated
we can still challenge for the title with
the squad we have?
dont know what he~s being smokin!
but wish he would share it out.
scrappin over to 4th, like we won the league, says it all.
we do have a good team!
but past the starting 11.
I think were really thin.
we need some top players, to bring the best out of the young lads.
some one to show them how it~s done!
and put pressure on players that know
there in the starting eleven.
come on gooners.
get a couple of top players and we may
win one of the cups
thx
northerngooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger has never done that before and doesn't care enough to ever do that. We either sign someone or we don't. We wouldn't bid 40m for a player and not want him use your head.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lfc fan here well suarez is top class but also very greedy so am sure after 18 month he will itching his feet to go to city or chelsea.
And if you guys wants him it will be on or terms not his or yours 1£

Agree0 Disagree0

Sod Suarez for that money we could muster up an awesome strikeforce. I think we should be focusing on bringing in this Bernard if he's interested. Suarez is a good player but is an all round Richard head and you never know what he's going to do. He's violent and he's a cheat and do we really want a guy like that at our beloved arsenal too ruin the reputation of bein a classy team that we work so hard for

Agree1 Disagree0

27 Jul 2013 11:27:45
Why have a clause of 40m if you want 50+. I don't think Guardiolas brother is stupid, Pep certainly isn't. A player is oy worth what someone is prepared to pay. Look at the two big strikers that went to play in France, even Madrid wouldn't pay that much. Wenger did say its hard doing a deal at the moment because everyone is on your at the moment. I might be reading between the lines but Liverpool have contractual obligations regarding their present tour. But Wengers past history doesn't fill me with optimism. Km

Agree0 Disagree0

How could terms possibly be agreed if he is in Thailand and we have not been given permission to speak to us?

Agree0 Disagree0

Simply for the fact that it isn't a get out clause for £40 Milland lfc want more than £50 mull

Agree0 Disagree0

In reply to the last post £50 mullet way too expensive lol ha ha

Agree0 Disagree0

Reports that fabregas is interested in a move to united are well off the mark. Infact, its the complete opposite. Quick uptdate on Suarez, as I predicted last week this week was huge as far as suarez to arsenal was concerned, and the weekend will provide further details as to how suarez feels. I expect, and I have it on good authority, that some sort of agreement between liverpool and arsenal will be agreed next week.

CheetahChaz97

Believable26 Unbelievable50

You are stating the obvious.

Agree1 Disagree0

Fabregas has made it clear he is happy to move to Manchester United but is equally content to stay at Barca, if Barca refuse to sell. What is clear is that Cesc does not want to consider a move to Arsenal

Agree0 Disagree5

Post above! And these are direct quotes from cesc? Or just what you have read in the daily mail?!

-Homesick-

Agree0 Disagree0

LOOOOOOOL second post Fabregas inserted a clause in his contract allowing Arsenal and only Arsenal to buy him at a cut price fee and you say he doesn't want a move to Arsenal. Take some time out and evaluate what's really going on here mate!

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah if the 50m is paid there will be

Agree0 Disagree0

Second poster- wenger stated weeks ago cesc will not be leaving this summer, but hinted next summer.

Considering he speaks with wenger regularly, I wonder what conversation they've had?

There is a very good chance, he will return to arsenal one day. After barca Arsenal is a love for him, get over it.

Agree0 Disagree0

No offense, but your pants seem to be on fire

Agree0 Disagree0

Pay the 60 million he's worth and Liverpool will sell him

Agree0 Disagree0

A lot of deluded people here, he will only come if the valuation is met lfc don't have to sell! A clause that fabregas will be bought for less than what we sold him for? Very unlikely barca aren't stupid!. Suarez is using arsenals interest to force a move to real

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2013 14:47:29
Real interested on Suarez. good news for us, think he is well over priced

26 Jul 2013 15:12:04
and if he come ya love him, overpriced or not. your acting like a 12yr old kid. lol

stockers8

Agree2 Disagree1

Why on earth would we want a person like him at our club, we are all arsenal supporters, but differ on talant available, cut the abuse

Agree1 Disagree4

Could have swore they said they weren't interested?

Agree1 Disagree1

Funny that because this morning they were not I don't think madrid would pay 50mill for saurez not saying they couldn't afford to I just don't think they value him that high

Agree1 Disagree0

A member of the Real staff told Marca they value their two younger back up strikers, and are going to give them a chance to take the 1st team place off Benzema. They're main interest is Bale.

Agree0 Disagree1

We would want him because he is better than any of our other strikers and is about time we paid some money. Real don't want him is all over the press and if he comes he will score 30 goals this season. So yes as a lifelong Arsenal fan I do want him and anyone who wants to end the trophy drought should also want him

Agree3 Disagree1

26 Jul 2013 16:56:19
Excuse me. It's hardly abuse sir! He's probably one of the best strikers on the planet right now. Lose the stuff upper lip
Stockers8

Agree3 Disagree0

Papers (and someone here?) reporting Real's interested only if they can't get Bale. So Suarez is our plan A and Real's plan B right now.

Agree2 Disagree0

AVB confirmed that spurs are in contract talks with bale. This mean real could miss out on him, go for Suarez, and we'll get remy. Yay.

NE Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Think he would blow up in our faces,. not a pretty sight, think we should all wait, got a feeling arsenal have something very different in mind ministry all seemed very calm over in Japan.

Agree0 Disagree0

Too much, yes he score 25 - 30 goals but I rather spend it on 2 reliable players that will give the club 100% - not on him who shown no loyalty to any of his previous clubs.

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no loyalty in football. So get what you can out of the player and move on. Is business. Suarez is a world class striker and that is what we need. Is not only 50 million it shows we can compete with the best now on and off the pitch and its about time

Agree1 Disagree0

£50 million on an overrated obnoxious player is not good business.

Its the chav element who welcome signing Suarez. they just want to Arsenal to spend money then more money.

Chav bling culture is destroying football

Agree0 Disagree2

We should sign him. It makes the gunners look like he mean business which will intice others to come. Suarez is a amazing player. We need someone like him to change our year and boost the squad! Mentally!

Agree0 Disagree0

He's worth more than £50 million look at what cavani went for! Wengers tried spending the money on a couple of players in the last few seasons instead if class players for more, and look how that's worked out! Gervinho and giroud? I would swap them both for 1 class striker

Agree0 Disagree0

Interesting article in the Telegraph - stating that Suarez is preparing to take Liverpool to Premier League arbitration to force a move. However, it transpires he's done this before - when he was with Groningen over a move to Ajax. He lost the case. {Ed027's Note - but he got the move

Believable42 Unbelievable4

He got his move after Ajax uped there offer.

Agree1 Disagree0

It would take months to resolve though, would be at least January before he would move if it went down that route, I doubt it will go that far.

Agree1 Disagree0

On the otherhand - he is banned for months anyway. {Ed027's Note -not really he can play in the CL, he'd miss 5 PL games and 1 League Cup game which he wouldn't play in anyway.

Agree0 Disagree0

Does no one get the fact that lfc have the upper hand in this situation? No matter what is said or written till he hands in a transfer request and the valuation is meant they won't even think about it

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2013 12:29:05
Real madrid have made contact over luis suarez

Believable17 Unbelievable53

Hmm that's interesting. I wonder if they think they have no chance with bale or have found the money for both.

btw, what source?

Agree2 Disagree0

That's funny, because there is a report saying this morning that RM have pulled out of the running for LS.

Agree3 Disagree2

Troll.

Agree2 Disagree1

Real Madrid apparently have an agreeement in principle with Suarez. Suarez's agent wanted it wrapped up last week before he was due to join the Liverpool squad. Suarez wore a t-shirt (under his football shirt) with a message to Madrid which he would have shown if he'd scored in the last game he played in Australia.

Agree2 Disagree3

Conspiracy theories on another page mate, we deal in football matters here. Fantastic imagination though for a 6 year old.
WG

Agree3 Disagree1

It's nonsesne it's Bale then if they can't get him they'll take Suarez.

Agree1 Disagree1

The comment about the shirt under his kit with a message to Madrid. Has less credibility then any of Malaga Gooners comment and that is saying something.

BG

Agree2 Disagree0

Hmmm, I have tried to respond to share the link about it but for some reason my posts aren't coming up.

If you search for the phrase:

"Fina palabras mantequilla sin chirivía"

either on the Liverpoolrumours site or even Google you'll see what it's about {Ed007's Note - Fine words butter no parsnips. ;-)

Agree0 Disagree0

The funniest thing I have read on here by a country mile!

RM in for him, agreement in principle. I could understand all to have some possibility but message on his t-shirt?

Hahahahhahaahah!

Or, as the Spanish would say.

Jajajajajajajajajajajajajajajajaj!

Agree0 Disagree0

Surely before any club speak to him they need permission of lfc with an agreed fee? If they have spoke to him in principal or whatever lfc can take them to court or a panel?

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsenal want an experienced keeper to battle Szczesny for the No. 1 position and are looking at Lazio keeper Federico Marchetti. They tried to sign him from Cagliari in 2010 and are ready to make another bid of £5million.

Believable16 Unbelievable40

This story has appeared more than once and he's already stated that he will not be leaving, can we move on from this rumour now.

Agree0 Disagree0

I agree, move on, we have 2 International keepers and Martiniz is not a bad 3rd choice either, I very much doubt we will bring in or need another keeper

Agree0 Disagree0

I think we need an experienced keeper like Ceasar, Ceasar is perfect for arsenal also 5 million for marchetti is an absolute bargin great keeper. Goalkeepers get better with age and a good experienced keeper at arsenal will really help the defence.

Agree0 Disagree0

Marchetti is probably the best keeper in Italy, 5mil won't do it

Now is my turn to ask; what the hell is AFC smoking? How can they lodge an offer of 49 this morning for a player that won't play our first 6 games.

Rumour from Wayne Veysey state that: "The Gunners have made a fresh attempt to sign the Uruguayan by offering Liverpool 41m up front supplemented by a potential 8m in add-ons"

Believable11 Unbelievable32

Wayne talks a load of bull he knows nothing.

Agree2 Disagree0

Bloody hell, how short term is your thinking? Yeah, he misses the first 6 games, but he isn't banned for the next 4 years, which would be the length of the contract!

Agree0 Disagree0

I think this is Euros, and is for the bid a couple of days ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Maybe the reason that bid was made is because unlike you, AFC realize that a season doesn't consist of only 6 games, the ban will still allow him to play something like 50 games for us, barring any injuries or further bans.

Bruno Mayor

Agree0 Disagree0

Mate don't use old jokes cause it wasnt that funny first time around, as for your comment on he will miss the first six matches well I can't actually believe you find that a problem, i'm sure we can make do don't you, being honest we will more than likely play 60 games next season so you can see my point on why its not a problem yeah. stortford gooner.

Agree0 Disagree0

4 yeras? you dreaming pall after 18 month will be chelsea or city because you are just like us liverpool won't get any trophy any time soon. oh 4 spot is like winning league for you guys so yes he goes

Agree0 Disagree0

But it doesn't matter because he won't be playing for you anyway

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2013 03:31:54
Sorry to burst anyones bubble as that's not my intentions.

Apparently the Daily Fail are reporting that Ceasc Fabregas has told his frindes he would like to move to the mancs.

How true its I don't know so please don't shoot the messenger.

If he go's there fine but I admit I will be slightly, no extremely p£$$^$*&%^% off.

But hey welcome to our world, we say the same every season. I. E. spend big and we go halfway cause we don't get the targets for the price we want/expect.

I am not complainingI will support the teap no matter what but I still get aggitated. Its hard being a Gooner sometimes but I hope AW has some good back up plans.

I didn't expect us to resign Cesc but if we just let him go I will be a little peed to say the least.

Believable21 Unbelievable60

LOL! don't believe the HYPE! Fab has always said if its not from his mouth than don't believe it also. Wasn't it in the papers 2 wks ago Cesc has told friends he wanted to stay in Barca? Ate these the same friend

Agree0 Disagree0

Fab4 will be an Arsenal player again. I'm 100% sure.

Flemish Gooner

Agree2 Disagree0

He has also told friends he doesn't want to leave barca- pick up a newspaper and take your pick.

Agree0 Disagree0

What a giant waste of time that post was. would you consider song a close friend of cesc? and what did he say recently? cesc won't leave.

Agree0 Disagree0

If Fabregas goes to Man U, it'd be the ultimate insult. You place your faith in certain players loving the club in the way that we do and almost every time, we're disappointed. This would be the ultimate slap in the face.
I fully expect Suarez to go to Madrid, who are even shorter than us for strikers now. As I keep saying, we'll end up with a loan deal at the last minute. My guess is Ba, and another season struggling for 4th. I do hope i'm wrong. By the way, in my opinion, a goalkeeper is more a priority than any other position at the moment.
Priorities:
1. keeper
2. Centre half
3. CDM
4. Striker.
5. 2nd choice keeper.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's just a classic case of lazy journalism. No actual quotes from anyone to back the story up.

Agree0 Disagree0

But, its the daily mail.

NE Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Cesc stopped being an Arsenal player the minute he signed for Barcelona. Just let it go.

Agree0 Disagree0

A waste of time maybe, but all I am doing is passing on info that I read and stating my opinion (which I am sure I am entitled to).

That does not give you the right to come on here and start verbally assaulting people, its impolite and rude. Grow up troll.

Still it is complete S#1t as now Barca manager has statet on sly sports news not for sale, to important.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just making up space to fill the papers. Manchester United and fish eyes can dream of Cesc coming.
But funny how clubs bid for AFC players and the papers jump on it trying to assist and make it happen.

Agree0 Disagree0

Fabregas will be at gunners or barca next year, he obviously loves barca and is still good friend with AW why would got man utd?

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2013 01:22:09
was told this at the end of last summer window by the same person who told me about alex song leaving.

cesc asked darren dein to start putting the transfer back to arsenal into motion.

he does not want to be seen as instigating the move back because he does not want to look bad towards barcelona supporters.

this is not a footballing decision more to do with his private life.

cesc will only sign for arsenal and no 1 else.

same source says lewandowski and lars bender are the clubs 2 other main targets.

going on holidays.

be respectful to the eds and each other.

malaga gooner

Believable25 Unbelievable66

Malaga everything you have said has been false, so what makes you think people would trust you, I don't and I often think you are a spud.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol I was reading this an was thinking. hmm sounds good. Than I got to the very bottom.
For once I hope your right malaga

Agree4 Disagree0

I might have believed you, but when you mentioned Lewandowski as one of our main targets, then I can't believe it.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have a good holiday Malaga!

Trying to book mine this morning, heading off somewhere in the next couple weeks and its proving just as stressful as the transfer window!

Hopefully we'll have a stronger squad by the time you're back and I go!

Agree0 Disagree0

Malaga Gooner is usually full of s***, but he's right on cesc. He will be an Arsenal player again coming season 100%. Welcome home fab4.

Flemish Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Lewandowski has a agreement to sign for bayern next year.

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2013 09:14:25
Malaga, honestly nowone believed anything you said anyway but the final nail in the coffin was what you had to say about higuain having a medical and being an arsenal player. For me you have lost all credabillity, not that you had much anyway so anything you say I am going to believe the opposite will happen as it's probably closer to the truth.

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest if Cesc and Barca wanted to part ways it would be (politically) difficult for them to be open about but (especially) from Barcas side).

Cesc telling friends sounds to me like the club briefing the media not Cesc.

Maybe can see this one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hazard, Gotze, Neymar and Higuain all done deals -. -

Agree0 Disagree0

Accurate or not, i just love malaga! brings in some humour to the site.

enjoy your holiday mate

Agree0 Disagree0

26 Jul 2013 12:08:59
but according to you we had already signed higuain. we were going to have a disco with fellaini. cesar was completed. the list could go on and on for the last 3 seasons. you talk more garbage than most politicians. perhaps you are a politician but as others have said perhaps you are a spurs person.

Agree0 Disagree0

Where are you going on holiday?

Agree0 Disagree0

Rue:) I agree:)
accurate or not, MG always makes me smile too:)
enjoy your holidays MG!
COYG andi:)

Agree0 Disagree0

In all fairness, the Hig deal was almost done (without medical) so it was pretty accurate until RM pulled a fast one as they are trying to again with Napoli.

Not saying I credit the rumour to Malaga as it has been out there but he was at least a super confident early adopter.

i think from now on when a player goes to madrid, you can almost definitely guarantee we will have no interest.

they are a petty arrogant club and I hope athletico use the money from the falco sale wisely and push them down a league place.

maybe it dates back to them chasing viera every season for a few years and we turned them down only to sell him to juve wasn't it?

anyways the whole thing seemed like sour grapes to me

good luck to the hig, it could have been special {Ed052's Note -
