On Twitter tonight

Told Arsenal won't buckle on Alexis. He stays and will either sign or go next summer for free and have risks assoc with that.

But can you really believe that Neil if you apply how Arsenal have sold previously in similar circumstances? Wenger NEVER keeps players who he believes are not invested in what he's trying to do within a certain squad. Even Vieira and Henry were sold on for what were modest fees once theyd finally had their heads turned and they were a lot more Arsenal than Alexis is.
Hes going.
There wouldn't be as much interest in Lemar and Benzema were he not, quite simply because you can't play them all.
Im optimistic Wenger may be able to reunite Benzema and Ozil and this is why Ozil will sign a new deal.
I think Giroud has been good value for what we bought him for but he is limited with regards to how we play and lacazettes arrival will limit his influence further still.
I think if we can get decent offers for Walcott, Giroud and Perez then we need to accept and move on, although I am disappointed with the reward Perez has got for what he achieved with limited game time when you consider the understanding Walcott and Ramsey continue to enjoy under the manager.
Alot is yet to happen but Sanchez is gone fellas.

I'm not sure he is going. The difference this time is that we don't have CL money to rely on next season. Wenger reckons that keeping Sanchez will give us the best chance of finishing in the top four again and getting us back on the CL gravy train. Good money for Sanchez now won't offset not qualifying for the CL the season after next.

Ross Barkley is definitely leaving Everton. Opinions on coming to us? Think he could do a job and perhaps do the Santi job that we have missed so badly?

I'm not sure it would be a good fit at all, he's a talented boy no doubt about that but I think he needs to go somewhere where the expectations are extremely high from every player and if you don't work out your quickly shipped out, Chelsea Utd City maybe even Spurs but not us because we need more players who self motivate and set high standards of themselves like Sanchez not more players who are hit and miss.
He's an excellent prospect and we are a great club but together I don't think we would do each other any favours.

I think he's over rated but that doesn't mean he can't be good. Like a lot of British players his first touch is poor.

He's a bit like Jack for me when but without the injuries he's good he's very good but when he's not he's a passenger.

Everton fan here and I personally think he would do well at you guys he needs to leave us as he needs to get away from his circle of friends also Steve. r not sure how much you have watched Ross but he has a fantastic first touch.

He has the ability 79 mate but it's the attitude that's the question and if there is one thing we don't need right now simeone who has a? Over his attitude and commitment.

He much better than jack wilshere I'd take him but it for 50m.

Blimey, British players compared to foreigners are poor, that's why they are never nominated for the big awards and our teams are so average on international competition. Sorry I don't know any current English midfielder with a great touch.

On the odd occasion when Jack is hot he can be outstandingly good but unfortunately even when fit this occasions are few and far between and becoming less bit more frequent with age.
Ross is a gamble we don't need to take right now.

Gunner we definitely don't need him. He hasn't got the best teams in Europe after him, why? He's not that good, can't even get in England team.

26 Jul 2017 21:48:14
Gunner Jack was rated by a lot of people because he had that rare British talent, a first touch. Gaza is the only other recent one and that's why big foreign teams came sniffing.

barkley to spurs is worlds best kept secret.

Steve a lot of that to be fair is the money in the premier league, Gerrard Lamport and others would have moved abroad if the premier league wasn't so rich mate.

Gunner the best players English or foreign are not in the prem. It's kick and rush. The best paid players in the world are outside the prem.

Agree0 Disagree0

27 Jul 2017 08:04:21
Barcelona Real Bayern Juventus PSG attract top players either on par to the prem or even superior to the PREM but that's 5 teams from 4 different countries Steve mate pounds for pound the premier league attracts more quality players across a car big number of clubs.
Kick and rush it maybe but it's world wide appeal makes it super rich which is why the likes of Theo earn so much within it.

Why not keep the Ox and let him play the Santi role rather than shelling out a lot for another player?

Steve r dele dally and adam bannana are two english midfielders with a very good first touch. don't want barkley at arsenal. i think he is overated. his numbers ain't all that anyway. Rather have someone like goretszka.

Hi ed's, any truth in Lamar not being for sale now seems likely as they have sold a few players already.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed001's Note - none of their players were really 'for sale', it was that the bids were too good to reject and the players wanted to leave.}

26 Jul 2017 16:37:42
thanks for the reply ed02, yes that makes sense, I had a feeling we would not get as they have lost some very talented players already, I hope we don't buy mahrez now he spent most of last season like sanchez thinking he was too good for the team, both their attitudes stink imo.

sorry ed001.

I dunno what ed001 opinion on it is but I still think lemar is possible if we offer good enough money. They don't seem the type to say no to a good offer.

I had requested eds to ask Wenger to look into Jean Seri last week, we are linked with him in the papers today, thanks eds.

{Ed002's Note - You were told of interest in January.}

Great to see Ed002 on the Gunners page again ;)

Ed is there any update on the takeover bid from Usmanov? Do you see any changes in ownership on the horizon?

Thanks a million.

{Ed002's Note - No there is no update.}
