I remember Upson during the mid 90's. I am certain that he came through the youth ranks at Arsenal. I am also sure that he suffered a cruciate ligament injury and subsequent problem that ruled him out for two seasons and thereafter he lost his confidence and was sold, quite probably at the beginning of Wenger's time. In all honesty I cannot see him coming back to us and unfortunately he cannot be considered in the same league as some of the other names we are being associated with, (in his position).
Ed, being an Arsenal supporter you might be able to verify this please?

{Ed022's Note - He didn't come through the ranks. We brought him from Luton for about £2m I think? I do remember him having a cruciate ligament injury in about 99/00 season and I think we sold him a couple of seasons later. I just remember wanting him to do well and get a chance but he struggled with injuries whilst at Arsenal. As for coming back, I cannot see it happening. He's not up to standard but would do well (staying injury free) for a mid table prem team. Hope that helps!?

Big Big shocking news from a source close to R&WH Wenger had scouts at the USA - Mexico checking out Landon Donovan with a view to playing with RVP if Fabregas goes Wenger was impressed with him during his Everton spell and was checking on his pace and fitness, he would be Bendtners replacement - no idea where he is going They where also watching Hernandez's partner Barrera Scouts apperently sent back glowing reviews for Dos Santos and Freddy Adu, the previous Man United trialist Dos Santos having a Spud connection will be a tough ask but you never know with Wenger who is still looking for another winger to go with Gervinho Cahill is still favorite to join but Samba is the back up signing incase he doesnt get the right price for Cahill Juan Mata is another name Wenger has identified as a Big target Schwatzer is still under consideration as well

According to my best friend, who works at the Emirates Tour Stadium, as over heard conflicting reports regarding Cesc, saying he may move south of the river to Chelsea & Essien is coming to Arsenal.

In other news, i heard Gervinho & Chamberlaine, have been seen in a restuarant in London, two new signing friends it is a signal.

What do you think Edd? {Ed002's Note - I think theree is a near zip chance of Fabregas moving to Chelsea. Gervinho and Chamberlain in a restaurant in London? Did they bumb in to each other at Waterloo station?}

Rumour doing the rounds is that Clichy is definitely leaving and the man being targeted to replace him is Juan Manuel Vargas. Certainly fits the mold as an attacking left back, and can play in midfield. Would be fantastic in my eyes. Not sure if there are any legs in this or if it is just a rumour. Ed have you heard anything?
