AC Milan have oppened the bidding war for andriy yarmolenko with £12.5 million which was unsuprisingly rejected. Arsenal have just learned of this and are deciding whether to make a £14.5 million bid for him or not. Borussian Dortmund have made an official enquiry for him but he isn't there top priority as they already have reus for next season in the winger role but they remain a fan. Dynamo Kiev are thought to want £16.5 million for him but are willing to negotiate.

Believable8 Unbelievable36

We dnt need another winger! we need to work on out defense, left bak right bak defensive mid, possibly a verstaile defender hu can cover both full bak n centre bak! n dnt forget a back up experienced keeper

Agree0 Disagree0

Yarmolenko is a good player but i don´t think he is the player that arsenal needs...konoplianka or matias suarez are better and could adapt quickly in arsenal style and are more incisives in his games

Agree0 Disagree0

8-10 mill + arshavin would work

And if Walcott refuses to sign an extension which I don't think he will we would need a replacement

Paul - Rochester

Agree0 Disagree0

Bidding war and arsenal are words that don't go together, go play football manager somewhere else

Agree0 Disagree0

If u read the post then OP says arsenal are deciding wheter to bid or not not they will make a bid

Read on twitter that man city are preparing a player swap deal with Arsenal for RVP, with Adam Johnson and Lescott to go the other way- Sound plausible or utter BS?

Believable19 Unbelievable59

Can't see it, lescott is 29 and would want big money, Johnson id take, but I'd we bought him, not in a RVP swap, that said his wages are probably high.

D

Agree0 Disagree0

If they give us Aleksandar Kolarov instead of adam johnson and i'd be up for it!

What nonsense!

Adam johnson

Agree0 Disagree0

Absolute utter bull!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Utter BS.

Ted

Agree0 Disagree0

Highly unlikely.

Agree0 Disagree0

Not highly unlikely, IMPOSSIBLE!

Agree0 Disagree0

Johnson wouldn't make the team better.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt Lescott would be willing to drop down from guaranteed first team football - and possibly a pay cut. Still a great player though.

Johnson would be great but I can't see where he'd fit into the squad with the players we have in his position.

Mike

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take dzeko and lescott, pretty unlikely though

Agree0 Disagree0

Read on twitter.. knew it was bs as soon as I saw this

Agree0 Disagree0

Who will pay their wages?

Ash

Agree0 Disagree0

Twitter= bs

Agree0 Disagree0

Lescott is another predominantly left-sided CB, same went for Vertonghen, with Vermaelen & Koscielny both more comfortable on the left hand side of the CB pairing, Lescott is not an option. We also have 3 number one CB's, Lescott wont want to be considered a reserve. We have Ox, Walcott, Gervinho, Podolski & Miyaichi for the wide positions, so Johnson is a no go. I believe we will want £30m for RVP, but will accept £25m, which is viryally the cost of Giroud & Podolski.

Agree0 Disagree0

Deffo bs, any way i wouldent accapt it if it were true

Ed is there a possibility Wenger is going for Javi Martinez instead of M'vila?

D-Dot {Ed001's Note - unlikely considering that Barca and Madrid would match any offers made for him.}

Done deal

Agree0 Disagree0

It's up on the Arsenal.com too , hope he puts on some boots when plays mind !!

Agree0 Disagree0

I thought couldn't officially sign until 1st July.

Agree0 Disagree0

It's probably like a pre-signed contract.

Agree0 Disagree0

Just the formal contract cannot be offically signed until 1st that is all.

Agree0 Disagree0

He cant sign a pre contract because his still under contract ,dont you read eds replys.dont know why you bother ed.... {Ed027's Note - we bother for wonderfull people like you

Agree0 Disagree0

I think you'll find they can sign a contract commencing on a certain date with permission of the selling club.

Agree0 Disagree0

Looks like someone questioning the eds knowledge looking forward to the reply

Agree0 Disagree0

That's right you can buy at any time with the consent of the selling club but the player cant be registered outside of a transfer window

Agree0 Disagree0

So does the silence mean the eds were wrong ? {Ed002's Note - The transfer cannot be completed until July 1.}

Agree0 Disagree0

I understand that july 1st issue..but you said they cant sign a pre-contract whilst under contract..so someone is wrong ? {Ed002's Note - They have not signed a pre-contract. Why is this so difficult to understand?}

Agree0 Disagree0

Its not ed,the fella above said they can ,and no ed came back and said they could not im with you on this just tell the other fella his wrong then thankyou...

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's note - your wrong mate above, you cant sign a pre-contract even with the sellers say so under contract } there you go ed easy.......

Giroud announced on the website.
Truly getting stuck into the transfers this year!

D

Believable36 Unbelievable6

Makes a change. We need to avoid at all costs the panic last minute buying of last year. Need to give the new signings a
pre season to settle in.

Talk in Spain that Arsenal are moving for Alvaro Vadillo

Believable14 Unbelievable28

I wouldn't bank on it, he's been arrested for theft ..

Of Gareth Bale's ears.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

Doubt he fits in Arsenal.. Why do you need another left winger?

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben, that must be grand theft!

Agree0 Disagree0

Those ears are rather unfortunate arnt they..surely he can get them pinned back..no?

I love it, bendtner has attracted 'global interest' ! Sunderland again presumably!

Believable32 Unbelievable10

Some of them up there do seem to be once different planet.

Steve Bruce loaned Gyan out because Gyan slept with his daughter.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol ben.x gyan made his own loan deal to make him lots of money

Agree0 Disagree0

"Global interest?" What from football clubs or from travelling freak shows and circuses?

Reports suggest that we have bid £4 mil for Kader Mangane, Senegalese centre back currently at Rennes. Bit like Chris Samba I think. It has come from Daily Mail.

Believable14 Unbelievable28

I hope not he is too old, too slow and not skilful enough. We need players who will improve the team either now or in the future.

Agree0 Disagree0

Un-Named club does not mean its Arsenal
Hopefull Gooner_96

Agree0 Disagree0

He is 29 years old

Agree0 Disagree0

Too old for me. want experiance, but not that old

Agree0 Disagree0

Ah yes, the Daily Mail: well known oracle of the truth. The people who brought you balanced and objective headlines such as "Hurrah For The Blackshirts!" I'm surprised they manged to fit a football story in amongst all the usual alarmist mince about wheelie bin collections/house prices/immigration etc etc.

Ignasi Miquel to join Brighton on loan.

Believable20 Unbelievable16

Good he needs that. i watched him against Liverpool last season.hes got some promise!!

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd have Miquel in the back four ahead of Squillaci, Djourou & Mertesacker (and ahead of Gibbs at left back). We might come to regret this given our injury record, but at least he'll get regular competitive football.
