My perfect summer;

At least 2 months of sunshine
Benzema
Sanchez
Lars bender
Hummels
Begovic
A few unknown 'gems'

Near enough 0% chance of all happening, especially the sunshine.

Forever Arsenal

Benzene so overrated.

Benzema, I believe Giroud can score more with less shots than him.

Id like messi, ronaldo, Neymar and Iniesta. Oh wait. Pointless lists don't help.

Sorry mate I live in Kenya so my perfect summer would be all the signing you mentioned and RAIN.

Whats the point in making this list and then saying there's a 0% chance of this happening? make a list that has at least some probability to it please.

Ed029, the Eds have often discussed three playmaking forwards that are being targeted by Juventus. I understand Sanchez and Jovetic are two of them but I'm interested to know the third? Thanks Ed {Ed029's Note - That'll be Suarez mate.}

Believable9 Unbelievable4

That's ambitious by juve! Can't see it. {Ed029's Note - Suarez spent last summer courting them.}

hi ed, is their serious and confirmed interest from arsenal in jovetic? we have had previous made up rumours before within january about other players that seem to get the fans believing we are going to sign unrealistic transfer targets {Ed029's Note - Ed2 provided this on another page 'Jovetic was very clearly the primary target for Manchester City next summer and until recent comments from the player and his agent that he does not want to leave Italy, I could certainly see that happening. However, Manchester City will continue to look to the player. The clear alternatives are Arsenal, PSG, Inter Milan and Juventus who have very clear targets and a significant budget to buy a player to play off their main striker. Juventus have identified three possible players - and Jovetic is one, but Fiorentina would rather not sell to Juventus.'}

Is jovetic the only signing we are getting this year, or are we getting others? If so, could we have some names please {Ed029's Note - There is a lot of interest in Jovetic from other clubs so don't count your chickens just yet.}

Some promising quotes in the sun today from Jovetic

"I've heard about Arsenal's interest. It's a big pleasure for me to be on the radar of such a big club. I am happy about that. I've always had an affinity with Arsenal. It's a major club with a big tradition, one of the biggest in Europe. "

Just can't see it unfortunately. I'm normally quite optimistic but I just can't see us bidding for a good player that'll help us

Funny :)
You have to be a die-hard Arsenal fan to write something like that LOL

Isco would be crazy not to join us. At his age we would be the perfect finishing school for him, before he joins Barcelona.

Believable31 Unbelievable12

Hate to break it to you but he is on Barcelona's Radar.

My Summer transfer window Analysis:

I will speak only of Man Utd, Chelsea, City, Arsenal, Liverpool and Sack of Spuds. Also a bit on the Striker Conundrum, to go with Foreign super teams.

Arsenal - A team that is lacking in several positions, a team which will see a lot of players leaving yet not a lot coming back in. There will be promotions from the reserves compared to bench strengthening.

GK, CB, CDM, RB, Winger and ST.

Chelsea - They will see most of the old players leave this summer and that is if you believe the tabloids. Then again being linked with Mourinho, I would expect him to keep some just for nostalgia compared to fresh start. That team is well set up from Defense all the way past the midfield, and the only two lacking or reinforced positions could be CDM and ST.

Liverpool - Not much money, not much in the scouting department, pretty much same as last year, will be fending off interest for their valued assets most summer. Players coming in won't factor, unless they manage to keep suarez and build on that.

Spuds - Team is well set up, every position has talent (hate to say it) they are probably looking to pair kaboul with Jan, and their CDM - CAM- wingers are fine, I guess it comes down to a striker and possibly a LB, that again depends on the funds available to them and the spot they end up with.

Man City - You will see a boat load of players leaving. French Club Monaco will be leading the list for those highly payed players no one else can pay or buy. The positions they add to will also require them to sell significant talent to acquire serious talent.

Man Utd - Linked with strikers, CDM, wingers, CB's, GK. team is currently winning the title yet they need changes.

The main topic this summer is the Striker battle. There is no shortage of talent. Falcao, Higuain, Benzema, Rooney, Aguero, Suarez, Cavani, Jovetic, Villa, Sanchez, Lewandowski to name a few.

The club most likely to start this domino effect (from what I have heard and not assuming is Madrid)

Madrid want CR7 to sign on the dotted line, and bale is nothing but a pawn to let him know he can't hold them to ransom, while United is a pawn in CR7 game too. remember United are going to sell players this year to offset the fact that they are paying 25mill a year in salary for Rooney and RVP, add Ronaldo and your looking at a 40mill pound wage bill for 3 players. and we know how the glazers love to spend money.

Higuain, Benzema, Kaka, or maybe all.

Barcelona will be looking to replace one member of their forward line, a defender and a GK.

Bayern will probably sell ribery and robben, depending on pep, as he does not like selfish players and we all know that he can sell anyone he doesn't want, like he did with ronaldinho and eto and ibrahimovic.

New managers in new locations, Pep, Mourinho, Moyes probably.

anyway after all this chatter I would like to say that we have a good chance of landing our targets, and none of the other teams will have their targets wrapped up in the first month. its going to be a fire sale first if they want to have the upper hand in negotiations to buy the expensive talent.

I expect us to get a winger, Isco and Gotze will very likely be our targets. the striker role may come down to money and Jovetic right now looks like our best option or possibly higuain depending on his price.

RB, CB and GK are definite add ons. the area we need to really strengthen is CDM and ST.

lets hope out of all the confusion for the stars the team that profits the most is us.

well and chelsea as they have only 1-2 positions to really address.

Believable12 Unbelievable17

Jovetic
Gotze
Solid Defender (Hummels)? ya right lol

People would actually play Arsenal on FIFA haha

Would be a dream for anybody, too bad it's not going to happen :|
At least we're in the best part of the transfer season, the part where we don't get disappointed :D
We don't get dissapointed until after the transfer period is over

Agree0 Disagree0

This is the period where FFP rules are adhered to. does not mean we will not end up with a marquee player as the prices have to drop for clubs to buy. madrid, barcelona and united can't buy them all.

and city and chelsea cannot spend the unlimited amounts they previously had.

if this is the advantage we needed, it perhaps has come at the right time.
