We are in for Remy, I have confined this with my source as best as I can and wouldn't post otherwise. Would love to nick him from under spurs nose. I think the fact he is French and arsene young French men will play an important factor. You heard it here 1st ladies and gents.

We bid for him two years ago, but he didn't want to leave Germany. Infact he told Redknapp that he was staying until the end of the season at least, about a week ago so I doubt he will come here.

Saying that he has played pretty well the last two seasons and is more than a capable second striker to RvP.

Still doubtful but so are most things at this time of year :)

I just heard that Redknapp has been sacked! Anybody else know of anything? This is from a hardcore Spurs supporter who watched prem games with me and knows a fair bit about football.

In fact she is the woman I would say who I know, who talks the most sense about football so whilst it seems a bit far fetched coming from her I think perhaps it is real!

Everything he says is bull, I don't know why people take his quotes as given. He is not going to say 'we are selling X and Y' because people will just knock the price down. He also isn't going to say 'we need a defender badly' because people know we have money and will just put prices up. Ok so they could do this anyway as soon as we approach our target's club even so, I never pay attention to him.

Podolski was just the papers taking a guess, most of us knew that was very unlikely but if somebody at the club had told her that she was within her rights to believe it.

I must say all this Hazard stuff sounds even less believable than the Podolski rumours! My money is still on Goetze, though I have no sources at all it is just educated guesswork :) Let's hope that he arrives against the odds as Arshavin did on the last day back then.

Unless Gotze's injury's a fake so as we make the signing. He has suffered from a Stress Fracture (same as Jack's) and is unable to play until at least the start of the new season.

There is no chance of Arsene buying any players during this window because he knows as well as the rest of us that he will be gone at the end of the season (if not kicked out before) and any player that he has his eye on will be on his radar at the next club he goes to. He wants out and we just have to put up with it for a few more months!

I heard it wasn't a fracture it was Osteitis Pubis which is inflammation caused by overworking the bone. It is associated with kicking sports like football and rugby and is quite common.

In the early stages if treated correctly the out time is 2 weeks plus a further 2 weeks rehabilitation so I doubt this would make any difference to any signing. May even lower his price a little who knows?

Jack's injury was an actual fracture and treatment complications have lengthened the healing rota, so the two are not really similar.

Goetze's injury was known about by his club months ago, but they needed him to play in their champions league campaign (Olympiakos, Shalke and Marseille) in order to secure their place. Now they have done that, and are equal top of their league along with Bayern he has been ordered to rest up and start his rehabilitation.

So if he were to sign on the final day, he would be available for selection 2 weeks after that. I for one am hoping he is signed regardless of his injury, as it's very common and won't reoccur if he rests. Also, these injuries are caused by the player working his socks off so we know we are getting a player who can play, should the transfer go ahead.

eden hazard; "PSG are a great club, and with a name like Ancelotti there, it makes you notice. We will see in the summer" so hes gonna join arsenal in the next few days and then leave in the summer?? he will not be signing for anyone this jan....

Should have been 'PSG are a really average club, to be fair they're pumping loads of money into it so maybe I can win the French League with them if I join, but to be honest I already won that so I'm going elsewhere'...

Players who join PSG like Tevez etc would only do so to have a fast track into the Champs League IMO. How can there be any other motive for someone like Hazard to remain in France?

Hazard has told La Parisienne that he's extremely fond of PSG esp' w/ Ancelotti in charge and "We'll see, come Summer".

Taking into context his love for Lille, im pretty certain he has said before he would not move to another French side.

A bit like the summer window everyone was all over rumours like Mata, Willian etc saying him and a few others will be making the move to us. These Hazard rumours seem to be nonsense (they maybe true and id love to be proven wrong with him coming to us)

February 1st cannot come quick enough so we can concentrate on supporting the team in the latter part of the season.

Personally, when it comes to transfer talk, I take a lot of what is said at face value- call me cynical, but I think its kind navive to trust what they say, regarding moves, etc

footballers/managers never lie or mislead about transfers do they...?

I dont believe hazard will come to the gunners, but I believe even less he will go to another french team...pointless move, no challenge for him

I think we can all say that your confidence in Hazard coming to Arsenal is very interesting. You seem so confident that he will come, do you have a source? Do you speak to Hazard on a regular basis? Do you guys play golf together? Or are you actually Eden Hazard?
But i can also picture you at the end of the window when the majority of us are kind of let down that we didn't sign any of the players you mentioned, even though we expected it, saying something like "HAHA YOU GUYS ACTUALLY BELEIVED ME? LMAO I DONT KNOW HAZARD OR ANYONE LIKE THAT, YOU GUYS ARE SO GULIBLE."

1f you go back to my original post you will see that it was not just hazard that i posted about there was quite a bit more.
