Belfodil from Parma seems to be the player we are interested in, very young but huge potential,

Looks a lot like Benzema but has a long way to go, would be a good signing for the future can play anywhere up front. but what a let down that would be after all the Jovetic rumours.

What would people's view on us going for Tom Ince, strong left sided attacking option? English also and wouldn't need a lot of time to adapt. We definitely need a CB before window closes Mertersacker makes me very worried and I feel both Kos and TV5 panick with him alongside and that draws them into faults. Wouldn't mind seeing Miguel getting some game time as well.

Completely and utterly disagree with your Mertesacker comment though. He is an excellent defender and I don't know what matches you have been watching but we always look more solid with him at the back.

What are you on Per have been the best out of the 3 this season and Vermarlen this season has really underperformed.

With reports now saying that madrid, shalke and psg all interested in wenger do you think any change is likely in the next year and a half and who do you reckon could come in?

I can't see Wenger panic buying due to results. He will have a very clear image in his head of positions he wants filled and will get a player for that role.

This happened summer 2011, he wanted a midfielder and went after Fellaini, he was told no but offered Arteta. Though it was seen by many as a panic buy that he got lucky with.

So I'd say that regardless of the result against Liverpool we will be signing two players, and the two you've mentioned will be be the most likely. Until 1st Feb we won't know for sure.

Dont want to be negative but are people seriously thinking wenger is gona spend yhe £25mill plus which is needed for hummels and £20mill plus for jovetic? £45mill for 2 players? seriously guys?
wenger has said wants a striker but isn't gona pay big money for someone to take walcott or girouds place up front? He will be a back up player. He has already said its numbers struggle on if them 2 were out. No villa or jovetic will come to sit on bench. I understand your optimism but its same eery window. Wenger won't spend big!

Sad but true Giroud current form will stop Wenger from perusing a striker in this window. More likely to see him move for a dm is the "right player" becomes available.

Sell Santos include in a swap deal well for any one really, I have never seen such a useless, lazy player wearing an Arsenal shirt!

Am I the only one who think giroud haveing a steady season he no rvp but I think he doin ok for his first season

He's having a decent season, but its not enough to have just one striker. admit it, we would have lost vs brighton if it hadnt been for giroud. that's not acceptable...

Considering its his first season after coming from Ligue 1 I think he's done pretty well. He's obviously no RVP but there aren't many strikers in the world that are.

Another striker wouldn't go amiss though. You look at Utd and they have RVP, Rooney, Welbeck and Hernandez. Giroud is our only actual centre forward; Walcott and Podolski are played mostly on the wings.

According to La Nazione, Arsenal are ready to offer 24 million euros to Fiorentina to obtain 23 year old forward Stevan Jovetic.

Well I hope they are throwing Arshavin in with that, because 24m euros won't be enough on its own.

Edd any news on arshavin or squilaci being sold or even being released they bring nothing to the team would like to see some replacements for these average players {Ed002's Note - I think there is a good chance Arshaving will leave.

Ajaccio, Evian and Bastia are looking to Squillaci but his wages will be a difficulty at these clubs. It has been suggested that Monaco, Marseille and Nice could be interested in taking him as a free agent in the summer.}

What kind of wage is Squillaci on that would deture others form signing him? If we signed him on anything more than 25-30k a week then we really need to look at our scouts! Anyone that recommended this guy(and santos) needs sacking sooner than later!

Have been told concrete info that no signings will be made from Germany, so that rules out Hummels and Gotze and whoever else their is.

Jovetic's name brought that same smile Santi Cazorla's name brought to Wenger's face when asked if he was interested in signing him, Their is definate interest their, an Enquiry was made, that was the last I heard.

A keeper seems to be on AW list also, and a young/backup CB and CDM if possible, if one isn't signed Wanayama will be signed in the summer as Wenger is reluctant to buy a player not available for Champions League

Why wouldn't he be interested in a world class player but unfortunately mate it's probable that if we sign anyone they will be from the bargain basement, but never say never so I hope that we do sign him as he is world class.

Wenger needs to buy players now to keep us the the champions league hunt for next season forget this years campaign we need to get top four this season

How long has frimpong actually got left on his contract? Does it really run out in the summer, or is it later? Think he would be a loss, anyone with that passion to wear the shirt is welcome by me

Not sure exactly how long it is but Frimpong comfirmed earlier in the season that his contract doesn't expire in the summer.
