Hey just heard that we have tabled a 13£million offer to zenit st Petersburg for ezequiel garay, is it true?

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know.}

Ed02 in a previous post you said Vidal will be moving and we will know where in a few weeks . So where does that leave pogba? Tevez has now announced he's going back to boca as we expected and vidal sure to move they surely can't be thinking of selling pogba? Or are juventus that confident of how poor the rest of serie a that they will be willing to sell there best 3 players?!?

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - Nothing has changed with respect to Pogba. There is interest in him from a number of clubs. It is nothing to do with Vidal who was going regardless.}

Who is Vidal going to eds hope its Arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Maybe.}

Highly doubt both vidal and pogba would leave this year. Also, if vidal does leave then definitely not for some of the prices i'm hearing ( 20 million pound range)

Anybody know how long Vidal has left on his contract? If it's 2 years or less for a 28 year old, then I don't see the fee getting much above the 20 million quid mark.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - They have four offers from three different clubs for the player. The amount is really pretty irrelevant as what matter is the acceptability of a bid and where the player wants to go.}

27 Jun 2015 21:31:11
Sorry if I'm being a pain Ed but just wondering if Arsenal
Are one of the teams who have put in a bid? Also if you can will you tell us the other 3 teams who have too please? I didn't see this question come up but sorry if it has boss

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - There are only three teams who have offers on the table, and Arsenal is one. But there are four bids - I am not going to get in to any more detail because I can only speculate where he will end up.}

Thanks Ed. I want Vidal quite a lot. Do you know a day that I should ask you for any updates on the situation instead of Me asking every day? Don't know how to use this website much. Thanks in advance though.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed002's Note - Just don't ask.}

LOL fair enough.

I'm already prepared for infinity disagrees, but I think Vidal would be a risky gamble. Not least due to age, wage demands and a career spent playing in a league completely alien to the premier league. But much more importantly than that, where does he fit into our system? Contrary to general opinion, he is not a DM and cannot replace Coquelin. So does he replace Cazorla or Ozil? I am struggling to see it.

Oh wow I thought he could play Cdm! I always thought he was a tough tackler but box to box too??

If you google world's best DMs (in the words of Nick Knowles) Vidal is on the list.
Apparently he started off as an out and out DM and probably comes from a very long line of DMs dating back to the 17th century.
He can certainly play DM which is part of the attraction for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - I have seen him play DM in the past, he was excellent there, but he is even better box to box.}

28 Jun 2015 13:59:04
Thanks Ed he's ideal for us, cover for Le Coq and very very serious competition for all.
Its just a case of actually getting him that's the only problem I can see :-) like all else I really hope it happens but some how I can't let myself get excited about it, mind you I didn't believe we could get Mesut when the rumours first started, I rated our chances between 0 and 0 at the time so hope I keep up my record with Sassoon

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - Vidal is one of those players that could improve any side, it is just whether or not you really need him or would be better off buying specialist DM. He would be too similar to Ramsey for me, that is his best position, and while he is slightly better than Ramsey, is it enough to make it worth paying the huge amounts? I am not sure it is.}

28 Jun 2015 15:45:41
Dm or not, the guys tackling stats over the last 5 seasons take some beating. More tackles per game than bender, khedira or schneiderlin. (Not to mention his work rate)
I think he is just the sort of player we need, will strengthen the lack of spine we are always criticised for.

Agree0 Disagree0

28 Jun 2015 15:27:57
That was the point I was trying to make, he is not an out and out sitting player. Coq plays a very limited and disciplined role for us where he never gets ahead of the ball. Vidal would surely be wasted in that role. For me it would suit him better just ahead of Coquelin, which was the position Cazorla played brilliantly the second half of last season. Ed, do you think that the arrival of Vidal could see Cazorla move on?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed001's Note - it would seem likely. He was looking for a return to Spain last summer.}

27 Jun 2015 10:16:15
Ed02 do you have any latest regarding schneiderlin? Because there are reports that he is close to sign for manutd? please update me if u have any information regarding this? Thanx

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed002's Note - There is interest from both clubs.}
