Djourou is advised by the swiss coach to leave Arsenal to get first team football.
Please, Please, Please take his advice.

Believable46 Unbelievable5

Why do you want him to leave, how many international players would settle for being a 4-5th choice CB and earning only £5000 a week. He may not be the best but is decent cover. At least he never gets frustrated at the fact he never plays.

Agree0 Disagree0

But who would he join?

Agree0 Disagree0

5000 a week? djorou is on 50,000 + per week. We dont need to be spending so much money on as you call it, 4th or 5th choice.

Rather get rid of him and put the wages towards a midfielder with proven quality.

Agree0 Disagree0

Your deluded if you think he get's just 5k per week, more like 8 or 10 times that figure per week.

Agree0 Disagree0

Read an article once which said he's on 60,000 p.w

Let him go. Give youngsters a chance. So much talent in the academy. Rotate and grow some talent, give them experience in the process.

Agree0 Disagree0

Miquel is goood

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope he go's! useless

Agree0 Disagree0

I will eagerly wait for the news he has left! please keep this story updated! his 50+ grand a week could go on a better player!

Agree0 Disagree0

Djourou is simply not good enough - end of. AW took him off at half-time in the home game v Man Utd, because he was getting murdered at right back. Given that this should have finally convinced Wenger that he doesn't have the required ability, why reward him with anew contract only weeks later? And to anyone who says he was being played out of position, he's just as inept in his 'favoured' position of centre half I don't blame the player himself, Wenger keeps picking him. He's symptomatic of the problems at Arsenal. Too many rubbish players acquired on the cheap, because they had 'potential' who then turned out to be no bleedin good, but have been given long contracts on huge wages way out of proportion with their abilities and are now difficult to shift. No one else wants them, cos they're demonstrably rubbish, so they hang around the Emirates like a bad smell, mainly benchwarming, but occasionally coming on to make acostly error that loses us a game.

This could happen:

IN
Given/Kapino
Vertonghen/Sakho
M'Vila
Hazard/Kagawa
Podolski
Remy/Giroud

Instantly making us challengers again.But

This probably will happen:

IN
N'Zonzi
Dempsey
Podolski
Yarmolenko

OUT
Song
RVP

StEvE

Believable22 Unbelievable30

What's wrong with yarmolenko joining?

Agree0 Disagree0

Kapino as our back up goalkeeper. do you know how old he is? he's 17

Agree0 Disagree0

Song to stay brilliant cmd

Agree0 Disagree0

If your good enough, your old enough.

People want chamberlain in the starting 11 every week, and hes 18.
Cesc played for arsenal @ 16..
Messi for barca @ 16

A back up goalie at 17? no problem.

Rather ter-stegen @ 19 though...ter stegen is amazing...better than shezza

Agree0 Disagree0

There is no young promising keeper ever going to join us when we have Szczensy who is what 22 in the summer. We need to sign an experienced keeper to help Szczensy.

Agree0 Disagree0

Two things:

1. I never said there was anything wrong with Yarmolenko joining!

2. If Kapino thought he was better than Szczesny what would stop him joining? Also I posted in order of preference so Given would be 1st choice between the two.

Not to mention the post was hypothetical!

Highlights that the club always take the cheap way out. There is NO way to believe otherwise! Given our history, no one can dispute that!

StEvE

Agree0 Disagree0

Am I the only one not bothered by losing Song? Fancies himself a bit too much for my liking, loses possession and doesn't 'hold' enough for a holding mid. If we get a big offer, i'd snap their hands off

Agree0 Disagree0

Lol @ us being linked with good names. m'vila, giroud etc.. you know we going to end up with cheap alternatives like n'zonzi and so on. fair enough we got podol but thats it for any form of big name!

eds do you have any news on the highly rated youngster nick powell? i know it was widely reported that hes signed for man utd for 4 million..but crewe trained at arsenals training ground last week preparing for the play off final..could he do a ramsey!? maybe i am just adding 2 and 2 together and getting 5, idk. {Ed001's Note - he has not signed for anyone and Crewe have not spoken to anyone prior to the play off final today. He is certainly good enough for the Prem, but I expect him to stay, if they gain promotion, for one more season at least. They were quoting 5m+ before they would even talk to clubs, during January, his price has done nothing but increase over the course of the season. Max Clayton, also there, is another Arsenal have looked at, by the way, he is another who may move to the Prem in a couple of years.}

Believable14 Unbelievable1

Cheers ed, i asked about this before the game as well! so seeing as he scored a worldy, his price tag has probably just gone up a few million haha..
interesting about clayton. crewe seem to have quite a few talents dont they. other than powell who was great, i really liked the look of westwood in central midfield, really good player that guy imo.

Agree0 Disagree0

Have it on very good authority, that he signed for man utd,its a done deal, spoke to someone with Crewe, who has been with them for 15 yrs,so no chance of signing him

Rumours that Alex Song is having talks with Inter/Milan? Making room for M'Villa coming in. Thoughts?

English Gooner

Believable15 Unbelievable31

I don't think the rumours are true

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be happy if it happened. Take walcott with him. M'vila and hoilett/anyone is much better

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully

Agree0 Disagree0

Making room? What like in the dressing room? Or his car parking space?
BR

Agree0 Disagree0

Hopefully not. at the moment song is basically irreplaceable as coquelin hasn't been up to cope with the intensity of the center midfield. i don't want to rely on a 21-year-old player from french league too much. there's plenty of room for both m'vila and song in the squad.

iceman

Agree0 Disagree0

Hope so. If Song's a holding midfielder I'm a particle physicist. Gives the ball away far too easily and prone to hacking down opponents on the edge of our box.

Agree0 Disagree0

Unlikely song will give up cl football to move to inter.

Agree0 Disagree0

Songo won't leave, he'll play CM/CDM next season.

Also.. Inter don't have the money for him, and they don't have UCL, IF he did leave, why would he go there.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

Inter Are Rich It's Milan That Have No Dosh And He Obviously What higher wages I Don't Rate Him... Sell Song!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Song is on his bike, that,s why our certain frugal manager is prepared to stump up 27 mill on m,vila.song ,s destination madrid though

Agree0 Disagree0

Nevervheard so much nonsense ...has it ever occurred to some that with the loss of fabregas's the creativity has had go be shared between rosicky/Ramsey, arteta and song? which may go some go explain why he pushes further up and why arteta drops deeper?
Sure he loses focus at times when trying to doctor much but he has been one of our most versatile players and who by the way (for some of you short sighted and sufferers of short memory) played centre half when we had injuries in the back of four durning our champions leave qualifiers. So lets not all be so quick to throw all for players that you have not yet seen play in the PL....I like mvil a but let's not throw everyone out
Have some patience and foresight to realise that strength in depth for a squad is what makes you a challenger for the titles...there's room for mvil a and song
Ppl can be very forgetful and ungrateful

ES

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd rather keep Song. I laugh at all these people saying Song is a bad holding midfielder. He doesn't play that position. Watch a game. He is clearly told to push on a bit hence his assists this year. Arsenal fans are like kids and we're never happy no matter what we have. If Song played for a random club say Valencia there would be fans on here saying we need this boy Alex Song he is brilliant.

Agree0 Disagree0

Song was missed badly when he was injured and set up many goals for Arsenal, a very under rated and under valued player.
With Diaby and Jack to come back the signing of M'villa would give a good balance to the midfield and a good element of strength in depth compared to most teams, Even if Ramsey and Denilson were sold on

Agree0 Disagree0

What some of you forget is that whilst Song has been great for assists, he's probably conceded that much possession followed by his inability to recover that we've probably conceded as many goals in the aftermath. Also what you're forgetting is that you want to keep a guy who is a real defensive liability because he's doing the job of 2 other midfielders instead - well how's about we sort this team out, bring in an attacking mid to do the assisting and someone who defends better than Song to do the defending? Then if Song's in the middle and we have real quality in depth, that's cool. However there are better CMs so if M'Vila did come and we kept Song it would probably be until he submits a TF request....isn't it ironic that one of our most valuable players is also one of our biggest headaches!

Agree0 Disagree0

He is not our biggest headache nor the player who loses the ball most.
Incidentally he is not just a Cdm he also plays as a deep lying playmaker and because of that he is bound to lose the ball more than most...however he does not get that balance right all the time...the biggest headaches are the back four's defines strategy...individually they Are great defenders, collectively they can sometimes lose focus (vermaelen ESP) due to our high line...the other big headache is ramsey's lack of composure and lag on the ball but that will improve with time

es

Agree0 Disagree0

Can not believe people want rid of song?! ok he has been caught out going forward, but how many assits has he provided for RVP alone last term? there is plenty of space for him and mi'vila! also why do people want rid of theo? he was are secong highest goal scorer and had assists.. ok, consistency needs to pick up but he is'nt being played in his favoured natural role as a striker. henry was'nt very good on the wing.. look how that turned out! if we let theo and song go, i think RVP would want to be on his way out aswell!

Agree0 Disagree0

Unfortunally i think that is true!!! m'villa is knowhere near as good as song!! when song leaves then you will realise how good he is

ed: there are tweets sayin arsenal has tabled 6.5m Quids fr giroud and are willing to add chamakh in deal.

also, dere are rumors dat chelsea is keen on walcott. do u know nething about it? {Ed002's Note - Nope.}

Believable16 Unbelievable11

Reading that made my head hurt

Agree0 Disagree0

A petition should be started to ban rumours with the words "dere" and "dat" in them. The post instantly loses any credibility.

-Gooner Curmudgeon

Agree0 Disagree0

Can this be translated into English please

Agree0 Disagree0

How does a speech impediment transfer itself to your keyboard?

Agree0 Disagree0

Well what I find kind of ironic is that you're sitting there complaining about deliberate slang such as 'dat' but then asking 'CAN this be translated' instead of 'would you please translate this'...yes I'm sure it CAN be translated. Also what pisses me off is that the same snobs who complain about 'dat' and 'm8 do u no who were gonna sign' etc etc and leave stupid comments under those posts are the same dumbasses who will then go and write things like "7 years no trophy's isn't good enough" instead of "7 years no TROPHIES" - you sound infinitely thicker because it's not even intentional, at least 'dat' is intentional slang.

So before we start asking for posts to be banned unless they're grammatically perfect why don't you stop being a Hitler? If every post on here with grammatical errors didn't make the grade, the page would be almost empty.

I have this on good authority ,Arsenal trying to offload theo Walcott to sign Affallay from Barcelona as he wants to leave and Barca want some cash.

Believable6 Unbelievable25

Cannot see this move happening

Agree0 Disagree0

'good authority'

yes m8, of course you do.

Agree0 Disagree0

Afellay is too injury prone, can't see this happening

Chriscamo

Agree0 Disagree0

Barca need cash. Do they not still owe us money from the Henry and Hleb deals. probably on Fabregas too. They should be giving us players to that value if that is still the case. Ed's can you clarify? {Ed002's Note - I don't know if there is anything owed on Fabregas but it does not simply work by taking players in exchange. If Arsenal wanted a particular player they could trade value against debt of course, that would suit Arsenal but perhaps not Barcelona.}

Andriy Yarmolenko is apprently the first name on wenger's wishlist this summer according to justarsenal

Believable14 Unbelievable14

Apparently is touted to be the next andriy Shevchenko, only 22 years of age

Agree0 Disagree0

Is he any good?

Agree0 Disagree0

He is the ukraine's best player at the age of 22 in a team that includes Andriy Shevchenko and Andriy Vorinin. so i guess he is good.

Agree0 Disagree0

If the above is cottect & true just think how good shevchenko was at his best !

Ashman

Agree0 Disagree0

Shevchenko isnt a shade of what he was. To say someone in the ukraine team is better than him, shouldnt be too difficult these days. It would be like putting shearer back in the england team and saying that rooney is better.

Agree0 Disagree0

What position does he play?

Agree0 Disagree0

How much would he cost anyone?

Anyone know if we're looking into victor Moses as he is available for about 10 mil and has huge potiential.

Believable10 Unbelievable24

10 million is a bit steap for a player thar has a good game in every 7 or 8

Agree0 Disagree0

Not an arsenal fan congrats on third place victor moses lacks the sight to deliver the killer passes. his head goes down he likes to run with the ball more than anything he runs himself into trouble. when a simple pass would have opened the defence up

Agree0 Disagree0

No we ain't. qpr and liverpool are in trested though

Agree0 Disagree0

I have no doubts that if we'd had Moses on the right and Hoilett on the left with RVP in the middle, our campaign would have been much better. Some people don't rate Moses, presumably because he plays for Wigan. I rate him, he's got EPL experience and he plays well against anyone, as does Hoilett. To let these 2 go when we've invested so much money in worse players over the years would be depressing. And I say this with the doubt that we'd splash 20m on a top class winger...to let these cheapies go would be a crying shame. If Bayern want Hoilett, he's good enough for us.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is good, but Dembele is alot lot better.

Agree0 Disagree0

'If Bayern want Hoilett, he's good enough for us.'

^ Spot on..but that's a big IF.

cheers

Altintop from Madrid. He wants to leave as he wants a bit more game time and would be cheap. He is a great utility player and can play rm/rw/cam/cm/cdm/rb, so would be good for when our injuries hit. Not a marquee signing but maybe a replacement for one of the flops (denilson, arshavin etc.)

Believable13 Unbelievable8

I like him- - there are a few players ar Real Madrid on the periphery of things and could move on... Kaka, Granero as well as others - i think it will depend on who Madrid sign, but there are players there that would do a geat job for us.
AG

Agree0 Disagree0

Why does he want to leave? I though he realised when moving to Madrid that he would be paid not to play.

Agree0 Disagree0

Coquelin does just the same job.

Agree0 Disagree0

Thank you but no thank you. he's just too old for me personally.

Agree0 Disagree0

Altintop will no ways be cheap...apparently mourinho expects 20mils fr him...which i dun think we have to spare on one player.

Agree0 Disagree0

You're joking right?
i mean he's not a bad player but in a year you'll want to get rid of him as he would be considered deadwood.

Ed has arsenal placed a bid for Giroud and sakho? {Ed002's Note - I do not think any bids have been placed by Arsenal at this time.}

Believable12 Unbelievable11

Ed is spot on. i doubt arsenal will sign or sell anyone untill the euros are over

Agree0 Disagree0

What about the holtby bid that is apprently agreed

Agree0 Disagree0

Its nonsense. Every rumour around at the moment is nonsense.

Not great reports today for Arsenal. Apparently RVP is going (according to The Mirror) and we will go for N'Zoni over M'Vila because he only costs £6million.

Believable7 Unbelievable26

N'zonzi is good but i not of the standard of m'vila and capoue

Agree0 Disagree0

So bored of mediocre players being signed as cheap alternatives! what a lack of ambition we have! roll on usamanov

Hello gooners! I wont take much of your time and just came here to give a quick update... All the rumors circulating that mvila camp is now talking to other suitors, is completely b****cks.. And it would be a relief for all fellow gooners to know that no one is in line, not even mancity.. This is the situation it stands as of now. So dont believe what media comes out with or which journo puts a story forward.. Its only us who are talking to him and only the hiccups need to be resolved. For those who are lost, they can check my previous post. I will again stress it out, Kagawa/mvila are nearly arsenal players if we dont balls it up(which is not impossible)... One more thing I stated something about rosicky's contract(that how he signed it back in january and no one was given any hint about it).. Well from my understanding, rvp's extension will depend on the quality brought in, means I am advocating the stance that he is staying.. What length of contract he signs will depend on the players signed. One of the reasons for his media blackout could be a ploy from arsenal to make everyone think into that he is leaving. So when we will approach a club with the proposal of replacing or rebuilding our team, we will get players on much affordable scale rather than suggesting them that we are interested in your player to keep our captain happy and show him ambition. Our deals being kept in secrecy is another move so that the rest of the deals do not get affected. And before I go, joe allen bid was not a rumour but sadly it was dismissed. We did bid for him but not 3 mill it was 5 mill. Thank you. Hate it or like it but that's how things stand at the moment.

HAMS

Believable22 Unbelievable15

I really want to believe you but i cant!

Agree0 Disagree0

Can anyone confirm? Sounds reasonable, but stil... If we approach a club when they're thinking we're going to Sell RVP, then they know we have the money and then they can ask for a lot.

Agree0 Disagree0

Exactly my point mate. But like I said the proposal I put forward can be wrong too.. Anyone who says in a definite tone is just fabricating everything.. There is no one outside Dick Law, AW, Kos Vees, Gazidis, Rvp and DD(though he wasnt present at the meeting) who knows the truth.. We can only build our understanding from other moves that we are trying to weave.. And remember, Arsenal are trying its best to deviate the focus and put a lid, so dont believe everything u read or hear in pres and media.
HAMS

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry I misinterpreted your point.. Everyone knows RvP wants ambition right? Selling clubs will hike player prices up knowing we're buying to appease. However it makes no difference to selling team if they think we're looking to buy to "replace" or "rebuild" just my opinion though. They know we can jog onto another target, he is not a must. Whereas when you approach with the mindset of showing ambition to your captain its different. Point was if I thought you wanted my player to make your star happy I'd charge you double. Ya know, desperation is more dangerous than need.. Anyways like I said it could be a ploy, nothing is definitive here except the understanding which I am developing that ambition will only determine rvp's contract length. Fingers crossed.

Agree0 Disagree0

And you know this because
1. You're a psychic?
2. You're the Agent involved in all these deals?
3. You're sleeping with RVP's wife?
4. You're seeping with Wenger?
5.You're a liar who craves attention?

Agree0 Disagree0

How do we know we can trust HAMS?

Agree0 Disagree0

People I am not asking you to trust me on rvp saga. I am stressing it myself that apart from Law, AW, Ivan,Kees Vos and obv DD no one knows it... As for that "understanding" part I am basing it on the other happenings at the club, like I said you can only judge now from a different angle....

HAMS

Agree0 Disagree0

Don't really care if poster is itk or not, simply he writes in the queens english which is good enough for me and that his words are well thought through giving better basis than the usual rabble we see written

Agree0 Disagree0

Umm....if other clubs were made to believe that RVP was leaving, wouldn't they hold Arsenal to ransom knowing that they have to spend to replace RVP (not to mention a potential windfall from his sale). Your explanation doesn't seem logical

Agree0 Disagree0

Is HAMS the DialSquare bloke on twitter?

Agree0 Disagree0

That's only an explanation and a proposed theory as I mentioned.. However I have elaborated it in one of the above comments. Desperation>>>>Need

HAMS

Agree0 Disagree0

To a guy who thinks I am the DialSquare bloke, no I am not... And I can see what made you think so... Sometimes the ideas do converge but to be very honest and you can see it for yourself from my previous posts, there are shades which do not match. I could have avoided the question if I was looking to big myself up, the rest is for you to decide. As far as the info is concerned, I will always mention if there is palgiarism involved(RedArmy49) check my most recent post. So credit where it is due there is no one out there who will know each and everything, sometimes you pass on the info and relay it to others but its always better to credit the original source.. Authentic and reliable info should be communicated, that's what the purpose should be rather than fabricating and creating speculations.
