Hey Eds, Are Arsenal in for Stones at all? Young, English and great potential, surely a good signing.

Believable1 Unbelievable1

{Ed001's Note - they are interested but highly unlikely to move for him this summer.}

27 May 2016 20:53:26
Thanks! Hope they do haha but good to know there's some interest at least.

Eds, I'm guessing if he does move this summer, it'll probably be for a hefty fee?

Is it true Mesut has postponed talks about extending his contract until after the Euro's?

27 May 2016 22:53:29
No major rush as he has 2 years left on current contract.
Let's hope he has thrown the gauntlet down to Wenger about signing some quality players before he signs a contract extension.

Let's hope so Dags and Arsene comes up with the bacon, we must keep Mesut if we're not to go backwards again.

I suspect this is slightly lazy reporting as usual. Ozil has been pictured training with his German team mates. Why would he want to break that just to come back to the uk to negotiate a new contract? IT makes perfect sense for him to wait, but as usual someone tries to put one and one together to get three.

Hi Eds, any truth to the rumours of Barcelona wanting Bellerin? Surely the only way we would sell is if we were going to go for Aurier.

Believable0 Unbelievable1

{Ed025's Note - i would doubt it sharkie..bacelona are only interested in good players mate.. :)

27 May 2016 13:14:03
Lool that was actually really funny. But do they actually want him?

Agree0 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - apparently they want him to replace alves apex..like trading in your jag for a lada to me..but what do i know?.. :)

27 May 2016 14:43:08
Will arsenal resist the offers mate? He's a very good player and when Barcelona come calling i think everyone would have to at least think about it.

he has had a good 14 months, but if barcelona wanted a RB probably Dave from chelsea would be better suited and more experienced. i reckon its just a bit of hot air right now.

they were linked with fabinho awhile back so i would assume they would try on that front again.

Has there been any developments with Draxler? I'd much rather see him up front than Morata. Thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable2

{Ed025's Note - nothing this end on draxler Gmuir..

Hi ed's, I never trust tabloids especially the red top ones. My question is is there any truth in these rumours that we've launched a £28mil bid for Morata? I know about the Madrid buy-back clause etc. Thanks.

Believable0 Unbelievable0

{Ed025's Note - i dont know about a specific bid essex but there have been talks about his availability, £28m will not be near enough to get him though mate..

27 May 2016 06:38:19
I am not too impressed by Morata's scoring record. Is he much better than Giroud?

What was Henry's scoring record like pre Arsenal?
With Ozil supplying the amount of quality chances he does its difficult to imagine a .
decent finisher not getting 20+ pl goals and an excellent finisher 30 +
Olly is a good player but extremely wasteful in front of goal.

What I like about morata that he always score the important goals, his scoring record might not be great, but he certainly knows where to be in the box and he can hit the target. I've watched him play many times and always looked dangerous. I think Juve opt to go with dybala instead of him as first choice because that kid is a brilliant footballer and mandz for his experience. However I think he will be a great addition to arsenal and he will be scoring loads of goals and I pesonally think morata is a great move.

Moratas goal:game ratio is not particularly impressive, but I read somewhere that if you convert it to goals:minutes played, he boasts something like a goal every 102 mins (nearly a goal a game) . As Moe also mentioned, he is a BIG game player. He scored the winning goal the other week vs Milan in the Italian cup, as well as scoring vs Madrid and Barcelona in the semis and final of the UCL.

From what I had heard of him before I'd ever really seen him play my first thought was that he would be similar to Giroud - how wrong was I. He's technically gifted, a great finisher and header of the ball, and for his stature is surprisingly really fast! is a similar striker to Kane imo.

Agree1 Disagree0

{Ed025's Note - better than kane imo colney..

27 May 2016 11:01:40
He reminds me of javier hernandez at united, never a prolific scorer but he scored goals when it mattered most. I'd like him at arsenal but I think anywhere over £30mil is taking a risk :/.

Agree with Colney and Bandit.

It's very very hard to strikers that acn be strong, fast and technical.

Think Ledanowski types (not saying they are the same) .

Morata can also be versitile which Wenger likes.

Think away to west brom during christmas fixtures.
Sanchez - Giroud - Morata.

Somewhere in there we can find at least one goal.

Conley and Bandit are both me! haha.

{Ed025's Note - hes getting mixed up with smokey and the bandit mate.. :)
