Rumour that started eight weeks ago and then turned out to be bs.
Pointless post.
If there was any truth in this then we'd have wrapped it up ages ago.

Didn't his clause JUST expire?
Also, the word on the tweet is that we won't spend on a mid as we're still cautious incase Cesc is available!

Clause expires in August I believe

Fellaini and Suarez would be awesome. If we were to sign Williams and Nani, I would start to believe the £70m spend nonsense. I know fellow Gooners tend to hate Nani, but he is quality.
My own feelings are that we will struggle to sign players and will posibly bring in 2, 3 at best.

Ahh is it August?
I wasn't entirely sure!
Still limited hope then.
D
Agree0

Not a chance - who would want to join a club with zero ambition!
Agree0

August the 1st it expires then Everton can ask for any asking price. However I think Felliani isn't worth it imho
Agree0
Disagree0
Did you not see the ambition last game of the match, when a majority of "so called" fans said we celebrated as if we won the league??
Agree0
Disagree0
But didn't fellaini's buy out clause expire last week? If so, surely everton would have increased it
Agree0
Disagree0
My point exactly - if our aim is to always scrape into the top 4, why would anybody want to join us - it was really sad to see us celebrating 4th place.
Agree1

Would you prefer the players to break down and through up at being such abject failures. I f a team is not first they are nothing, jeez you are not remotely a football fan merely a poseur

I know how you feel, as do most of the faithful, no doubt, however, I’m clinging to the words of Gazidis and the evidence of the last few days, I believe we will do something spectacular in the transfer window, the reality is, we are most settled and ready to push on, a couple of signings and who knows, i’d have a little bet, AW will unveil someone before the Emeirates cup

I am a Chelsea supporter. For many years the other so called top teams have not worried about arsenal. Ok they are happy to qualify for the champions league, and that's it. They will implode in every other competition. But I think this year and definitely next year things will change. Unless Madrid come in you will sign Suarez, even if u don't, the fact that you are starting to bid for such players is a worrying sign. When have arsenal, and a 40mil player, ever been seen and reported in the British press. Times are changing for you, keep the faith, you may be in for a few surprises. Dan

Arsenal to raise Suarez bid to 44mill.
I'm off to the US for a week guys and I'll be seeing a Boston Red sox game while I'm there, I'll try to bump into someone in the know from the Fenway Sports group and see if they know anything more about the deal! Wish me luck!

I live just north of Boston, doubtful you'll see anyone walking around fsg at Fenway. However, you could go early and ask the players for a ball and sharpie in a nice message for mr Henry and have one of them hit it up to his box.
Enjoy the game though, Fenway is a really special place, if the beers weren't 8 bucks a piece I'm sure the fans would be just as rowdy as premier league games. Make sure you know all of the lyrics to sweet Caroline for the seventh inning.

Arsenal have taken 18 year old Colombian defensive midfielder Sebastian Perez on trial. The youngster is in the Atletico National first team so has a bit of experience for his age. It's not the type of business were looking for as fans this year but doesn't look like Wengers going to change his recruitment policy any time soon. The lad could turn out to be the new Cesc, but personally I'm tired of waiting for players to develop {Ed027's Note - 20 year old*

Great potential. Good vision and a very good distributor of the ball

I do not know why South American players do not come for trials: I'm not saying all African players are good but this is a player that won the most important continental cup. Trails are for young unknown players.
Just because we do not watch African football does not mean we should ridicule them. I remember Arsenal doing the same thing with Ibrahimovic.

I heard we're about to submit a £42M for Luis Suarez and they want a fixed £50M and the way FSG do their business they aren't going to budge on that and it's like we might not even someone. At this rate Arsene may resort to using pick up lines to sign players

Suarez next week. Cesc only to follow if Barce agree he's for sale. He's not going to united.
Believable65
Unbelievable72
Oh yes he is! Another big mistake by Wenger as he will let Cesc go to Utd. In effect it wiill be like selling him to them as we have first option, and he's done that before! The only way Cesc will come back is if Santi is sold to Athletico

cesc is not going utd and never will. remember he unfollowed rvp on twitter when he moved to utd so why would he then do the same thing
Agree0

I cannot see why Barca would sell Fabregas having allready sold Thiago.
This would leave them short in the midfield and would necessitate them buying a replacement. Why would they do that?
Agree0
Disagree0
Here's the deal. We won't pay enough for Suarez, however Arsene really wants Rooney. Man U don't want to let him go to us, but to Chelsea even less. Now wait for it.
We don't get Suarez, but when barca get a big enough bid from man u for Cesc, Arsene steps in, but will cut a deal with Moyes that he'll step aside for Rooney. Whilst Rooney
would prefer Chelsea, he'd rather us than stay at Man U.
Simples!

Bernard off to Porto apparently. They're more willing to give him a starting spot than Arsenal is.
Just passing it on
Believable70
Unbelievable30
I don't think Bernard would find playing time hard to come by at Arsenal either. Unfortunately it makes too much sense for him to go to Portugal. Easier league, in fact a joke of a league, he can use his mother tongue, play a few games in Europe, put himself in the shop window for really big clubs. And let's not forget about the WC next year. There must be really few Brazilians aiming to go to the WC, being about to sign for an either Portuguese or English club and would choose England. If it weren't for the WC there would be a bigger chance for Arsenal to get Bernard, but still I think he would choose the easier ride and go to Portugal.
