Hazard: "I think I'm heading to England"
I think he has agreed a pre contract with Arsenal and they will get him, but in the summer because he clearly said that he is with Lille until the end of the season!!

u can translate this to english lol:

Lets hope we can do well for the rest of the season with the creativity that we dont have!!

Great comeback today, well done to all the players...

In Arsene we should all trust!!

You do realise Hazard is not what we need, seriously we need someone like gotze, sahin or even martin hazard is a nother pacey winger we dont need, ox is the man!

Agree0 Disagree0

Hazard can play ACM too

Agree0 Disagree0

What we actually need is Wilshere back fit and healthy.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is quicker than most! You sure you talking about the same guy? Admittedly on FIFA he isn't pacey but that is wrong in real life he skins just about anybody.

I'd like to see him arrive I just think we have more chance of signing Redknapp than we do him!

Barrios info, you probably know this already but still.
I have heard we made an enquiry and were quoted £8mill. We have not followed it up and now Liverpool are very keen. Source Javier Perez.

GoonerDan

Believable4 Unbelievable3

Fulham will get Barrios.

=M.A.

Agree0 Disagree0

Barrios will stay in germany and fulham will sign rodallega.

AWRAWA

Agree0 Disagree0

Yeah I think Fulham will get him that actually sounds very plausible. Rodellega could go there but why would they bother they already have Keane, Agbonlahor, N'Zogbia and Bent who can all play upfront - they need defenders and mids more than strikers.

Eden Hazard tells French TV: "I'm leaving for England at the end of the season."

Believable18 Unbelievable4

This may just be part of the smokescreen and he'll pop up with a couple of minutes of the window to spare.
Then we can all tip our hats to the Malaga Gooner and eat them.

Agree0 Disagree0

If you read his official quotes he clearly say, backed up by his parents and agent:

"I am definitely not leaving this season, but will be looking to make a move to England the season after."

Metro obviously misquoted as you can search one of any 25 odd sites, plus his official ones and get the same quotes.

Arsenal will make move for hazard or podolsky before tuesday.

Believable18 Unbelievable10

PODOLSKI is injured for 1 month...so that is unlikely

Agree0 Disagree0

I am not in anyway saying that the transfer will happen, but do you remember the Carroll to liverpool transfer? He was injured for a month or two when he signed for them! Just shows that you can have a long term injury and still make a move

Agree0 Disagree0

Both Podolski and Hazard said that they doesn't want to leave their clubs until the end of the season.

We are more likely to make a move for Christian M'mvbibiat, if all the TV in Africa is to be believed

anyone see the eden hazard interview on canal plus..he will leave lillle for an english club in the summer.....from his own mouth!
big dickey {Ed002's Note - As I previously said, nless an extraordinary bid matching Lille's valuation of the player is made in January, Eden Hazard will not be available to the summer. Whilst Real Madrid or Barcelona remain his preferred destination PSG, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are all interested to one degree or another. I said over the summer that I would not be surprised to see Manchester United through their hat in to the ring with Hazard as well. Chelsea have maintained a long-term interest but one particularly influential party at the club sees the player as having an attitude problem (primarily related to previously well-publised issues). However, Chelsea have recently discussed the player with Lille and a firm offer by Chelsea is still very much a possibility. Arsenal spoke with Lille before the last summer window and, I am told, proposed a "derisory number" and suggested taking the player would be a risk. Bayern Munich apparently remain very keen on Hazard but the player is seemingly not interested in a move to Germany. Inter would find the transfer fee too high and their only hope would be a part-ownership deal with some cash and a player or two moving to LIlle. PSG would have the money available but again the player does not want such a move. I really don't see Hazard moving to Liverpool, Juventus, AC Milan or Arsenal for that matter.}

Believable10 Unbelievable4

We made an almost successful bid in summer. It can happen

Agree0 Disagree0

He wants regular football so i would say that rules out city. My bet is that chelski will get him as he will not only play every week but will get a huge contract

Agree0 Disagree0

I doubt he will come arsenal aswell but anyhow wenger french links might do the trick ;)

Agree0 Disagree0

The guy said it from his own mouth why bother stating psg inter barca real?

i think we should go 4 marvin martin from sochaux,he's young and quality and can cost around 14mil

Believable2 Unbelievable14

Me too.
In the summer we all wanted him.

Agree0 Disagree0

4sure marvin martin is a quality midfielder!! go on wenger kop him!!! {Ed002's Note - Dortmund, Lille, Lorient and Anderlecht have enquired after Marvin Martin, but Valencia and Arsenal have been most serious in the pursuit of the Socheaux player. I suspect a move in the summer is much more likely than a move in January.}

Agree even though we won today, i would have Mourinho over wenger any day. he is a serial winner, and we would win a lot of silver ware under his stewardship, which we won't under wenger.

Believable13 Unbelievable29

Me too. Nothing has changed for me

Agree0 Disagree0

Ironic thing is that RM tried to get wenger as their manager before they got Jose. And wenger will probably replace him unless they get lowe.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'll take Wenger thank you very much. At least he's willing to play good open football. Mourinho starts panicking whenever he goes down 2 or more goals.

Agree0 Disagree0

Mourinho is an utter a**ehole who works on a massive budget to bring the 1st team glory at any costs which includes neglecting the other aspects of the club (reserves/image).
jose represents such term thinking of which glory hunting supporters thrive on.

mitch derish

Agree0 Disagree0

You mean trophies like 4 FA cups, 3 League titles, 1 unbeaten season, 2 double seasons that Wenger has done for us?

Also name me a player that Mourinho will get that Wenger can't for £70K a week wages.....its not Wengers fault that our wage structure is useless......its the boards.......

Agree0 Disagree0

AW > Mourinho. Character, intelligence, work with young players. In Arsene we trust!

Agree0 Disagree0

Are you serious? If you notice Mourinho only wins things when he has ulimited funds at his disposal - Whether it be some oil merchant (Chelsea) or the Spanish govt (Real Madrid).

Agree0 Disagree0

Big up the support for Wenger!, glory hunters go home, show some respect for a man who stands up for what he believes in- and has succeeded doing it, and doesn't act like a little coward rat bag

Agree0 Disagree0

Mourinho will not want to stay for long...so why bother...gosh why do you think arsenal are part of the influential clubs in Europe(despite our recent failures)...because someone has taken tine to build that brand and philosophy....i would rather have a mgr who wants to stick for a while
EV

Agree0 Disagree0

Arsene Wenger has given everything to Arsenal! He could've walked years ago to pretty much any club in world football, show the man some respect like he has us and the club we love! We've had a patchy 6 months and are 5th in the league, no biggy, this time last year we were fighting on all four fronts and the man was still a legend, don't be so fickle and SUPPORT the players AND Manager! The scousers were right behind Andy Carroll yesterday and applauded eveything he did and he is dire at the mo, but thats what good supporters do, get behind each and everyone of them! Puts some of you so called Gooners to shame im afraid, i mean booing at half time and shouting 'you don't know what you're doing' last week is quite frankly an insult to a man who is respected wordwide! Shame on you!
Get behind the boys and lets push on for the remainder of the season!

Munnster

I could see Joachim Low or Guardiola or Bielsa as our manager thats it. Mourinho's teams are rubbish to watch.. Everyone remembers Brazil 82 but who really remembers Chelsea 05?

Agree0 Disagree0

His first bad patch? Are you having a laugh? Bad patches done last years
---------

yes you're correct there i didnt think that through, however i still believe he's the right man for us. he has done so much more good than bad for us

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger every time!!! Do you not find it strange that RM are after our manager. Careful what you wish for, don't cry months from now!!
Shame on all of you who are kicking him whilst he is down.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have my doubts as to Mourinho as with all his clubs he's been with (apart from Porto) he needs a GDP amount of funding. His philosophy is different from Wengers. The person who will be the next Arsenal manager is .......Dragan Djokevic current manager of Grampus Eight. Ask yourself this could Mourinho function with Arsenal's budget? {Ed001's Note - Jose had a comparatively big budget with Porto as well, not huge, but bigger than most of the opponent's he faced.}

Agree0 Disagree0

Dont want Jose to come for 3 years, spend loads..yes he will win atleast 2 league titles...but when he leaves the club will be a mess..full of superstars who cant function as a team and THEN are we in for some trouble...like chelski after he left..

Agree0 Disagree0

You cant be an Arsenal fan, Jose is also a serial tw@

Agree0 Disagree0

Proud of the response. When i saw the question and amount of responses i expected a Wenger kicking session.....sometimes this board restores my faith in Gooners everywhere.

He is inspiring to watch. Plays football the way it should be. Great attitude and appetite. I'm glad I was wrong. Better I'm wrong and we signed a great player than me being right and signing another Walcott to be honest. Club comes first!

Wilshere's injury is supposedly only 4 weeks now but I reckon we still NEED three more to win a trophy this season and get 3rd/4th as we can't GUARANTEE he will return on time or that others will stay healthy.

Bent (exactly what we need, pay what's needed)
Vertonghen
M'Vila/Sahin

Why not give credit to all that came back and put in a better performance in the second half....they were poor and not clinical in the first half but wouldn't it be less bitter to give credit to all involved? Didn't walcott score today as well coz if he hadn't we would be having to play a replay. I don't understand why everyone has an issue with he is a striker playing out of position remember Henry at juventus so why is wenger doing the same to walcott.

So when we are losing its arsene's fault but when we win he has nothing to do with it, hmmm yea ok

Iv been hearing lots about Real Madrid having a 2 man short list to replace Jose next season and that Wenger is one of them. And now that Jose want to come back to the prem.

Can any confirm these rumours?

I would be gutted if Wenger leaves, I know we've had a bad season but you can't blame Wenger for cesc leaving and all the injuries we've had to cope with.

But I think I could live with Jose as a replacement. He's had success everywhere he has been.

Believable16 Unbelievable4

No chance of jose coming to arsenal he only goes where he can spend money!

I was at the Emirates for a Stadium Tour a while back, and I spoke to the guy who is the main overseer of the happenings at the Museum. Although he told me that what he knew about transfers was mostly from the guys at the shirt store(they are usually the first to know, as tey need to order stock especially towards the end of the transfer window, they knew about the Arteta and Arshavin deals a day before news broke), he also had the honour of meeting Thierry Henry, as he played some part in the making/putting up or whatever of Henry's statue. Henry told him that Wenger has the money, and the board are willing to fund moves in order to push Arsenal up the table,as Wenger's bid for Goetze showed, however, the major stumbling point is the over inflated pricetags caused by interest from other clubs, hence, Arsenal's deals are all done quietly, he also said that one of Arsenal's top 3 defenders(Vermaelen, Mertesacker and Koscielny- its pretty obvious isn't it) could be joined by a compatriot, I reckon Hazard or Podolski, maybe Gourcuff (Wenger knows his fatehr Christian and Lyon's manager Remi very well) Also, Henry told him that he believed that the team was amazing, and particularly praised Rosicky, Miquel and Ozyakup in addition to the more known ones. Henry also believes that Arshavin still has that brilliance which made him score 4 at Anfield, all he nedds is confidence, so please please please give him confidence and chant his name, as he has the ability to turnaround our season!

I was in France on holiday a while ago, and I was introduced to Eden Hazard's brother Thorgan by a friend of mine (My mate's father owns a really famous restaurant- its rated by Gault Millau, hence, he met Thorgan there) According to Thorgan, Eden prefers Arsenal to the other English teams due to the presence of Arsene Wenger, who Eden is an ardent admirer of, also, Vermaelen and Gervinho are good friends with Eden. Another interesting piece of information is that Eden was on the verge of joining Arsenal in the season before lasts transfer window(he wasn't as famous then) however, Wenger chose to let him stay at Lille. Thorgan told me that unless if Madrid come calling in the summer, with the assurance of first team football, Hazard will join Arsenal. There are still chances that Hazard might sign this transfer window, as Thorgan said that Wenger was desperate to conclude this deal quickly, however, Lille want to keep Eden till the end of the season, and then try and sell him for top dollar. The talk of other english teams being linked is rubbished, as Eden will only join Arsenal, Madrid or Barca according to Thorgan. Also, Miss Arsenal, what happened to the Podolski rumours, he would be great!

Ok, two words can sum up our business in this transfer window "NOT BUYING".
Reason for this;
1. When a club as desperate as Arsenal are for players try to buy, clubs put up the price.
2. The Arsenal board are saving the money to give to the new manager to build his team, Wenger will move upstairs.
My feeling is we will break the bank to sign Jose as manager, IF Real Madrid don't win the league.

Hi All,
Read this site for the past few years but never posted but here goes.

Wengers offered 8mil to Cologne for Podolski, but knowing how desperate we are for reinforcement up top they're holding out for an offer over 10mil. So close to the end of the window and with Wengers history we'll probably lose out on him all for the sake of 2mil.

If this latest rumour about Hazard is true its going to be hard to take. That Arsenal almost had him signed for £25 million plus a player and at the last minute PSG have offered £35 million and Arsenal wont match it. Its so annoying to see players go anywhere just for more money. I get 10 million is a lot to knock back, but surely if his reason for leaving Lille is for a better competition and to play with the best, going to PSG just shows ur only chasing the money.

Arsenal will miss out again and we will have to hear "well we tried to get Hazard but missed out...but we tried"... just like Mata etc

Believable16 Unbelievable5

Not sure where you've heard this but it's false. LOSC quoted CFC 35m not £35m. Therefore if we offered £25m + a player we would have had him off the cuff.

The PSG quotes were false, Hazard already stated he wouldn't play for another French side & for those who say "money talks" name me once this window PSG have shied away from publicly announcing their targets?

They've not once even said they were interested in him. I think you got the story from "Arsenal Brigade" on Twitter - who've been making stuff up, since they joined the network.

I'm told to expect walcott to be a Liverpool player by Tuesday.

expect a late bid for suarez that will be rejected

and possibly squillaci to west ham on loan.

Believable1 Unbelievable22

If Walcott does go, we would need a replacement........

Wait what? just no, no no.

Don't know about Suarez but I can see Walcott (Liverpool) going soon, now or summer along with Van the man(Barsa or Real)
