I heard on the books of arsenal are, mvila, moutinho, dede, ganso, thiago, reus, lewandowski, ribery and a outragious bid for neymar or the possable return of Antonio reyes! But in all fairness there just rumours

Believable12 Unbelievable44

Moutinho would be my choice #class

Agree0 Disagree0

Really. Wow. I bet loads of people believe this one.

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no xD

Agree0 Disagree0

Out of all those names you've listed, M'Vila and possibly Moutinho are the only realistic chances of landing at the Emirates. I'd love to see Ribery at Arsenal as I really hoped he come here before he eventually signed with Bayern. Neymar would be a colossal failure in the Premier League. Way to physical for his style.

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha neymar

Agree0 Disagree0

Who would i want

M'vila- no, disciplinary issues could get in the way of a unified team
Moutinhio- yes, he can well and truly fill the void left by fabregas. Would love to see it happen
Dede- no, haven't heard enough about him
Ganso- no, a bit too slow to fit in to fab4's role
Thiago- no, fine player, but not as good as moutinhio
Reus- no, the ox is shows too much promise, lets stick with ox
Lewandowski- yes, could be a good bench player, very handy option to have
Ribery, no- for some reason, he's a bit overrated, just this eery feeling i have that he's not enough of a team player in the position that he would occupy for arsenal. Not as good of a fit nowdays
Nagmar, no- he's too slightly built for epl, and therefore he'd flop in such a taxing league like the epl is. Better suited to Spain

Agree0 Disagree0

On the books means on the payroll. All of these players are NOT on the books of arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

I disregarded this post when i saw reus.. he has signed for dortmund..
batch

Agree0 Disagree0

Complete nonsense. I would imagine we will sign a replacement for Fabianski at low cost. A replacement for Djourou, if he leaves. This player would in effect be a right sided CB, who can fill in at right back whilst Sagna is out. being 4th choice, I would expect a well known costly signing. The other position we may purchase is a defensive midfield player to cover for Song or to play alongside him, again I dont expect this to be a costly addition, taking into account Coquelin & Frimpong should be ready within a season or so.

Agree0 Disagree0

Reus joined borussia dortmund last january so won't move again

Agree0 Disagree0

Ribery, dede, ganso, neymar, reyes wont come. mvilla, moutinho and lewandowski maybe.

Agree0 Disagree0

Wow people took this post seriously?! The last bit clearly makes this a tongue-in-cheek comment taking the p$ss out of peoples ridiculous rumours...

Agree0 Disagree0

Neymar has no chance, he"s already agreed a deal to join barcelona for $14 million, he'll join the club when he is a bit older, probably at the end of the season

rumours please ed
arsenal and dinipro are in negotionations for the transfer of yehven konoplyanka. arsenal's first bid was around £8 million but was quickly rejected. dinipro want somewhere near £16.5 million for the winger who is keen on a move to the emirates. wenger thinks that £13 million could seal the deal.

Believable12 Unbelievable34

Didn't the club value him at £50m lol. allthough, judging his performances at the Euro's, I'd rather Andy Carol. He's way to ball greedy and has a terrible shot, frankly i'd rather Arshavin.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

Montpellier valued Giroud at £50m too, you saw how that turned out!

I've just seen we're closing on a deal for adrian lopez for 14 mil.

Any truth in this ed ? {Ed002's Note - Yeah, maybe. My worry is that if Lopez arrives does that mean RvP is leaving?}

Believable26 Unbelievable35

Lopez has also ruled out any possibility of a move by declaring his desire to stay in the Spanish capital with Atletico Madrid. He told Spanish newspaper Marca that, "I am very happy. In my first year we have a title, something that you would expect, and I felt very comfortable with the people at the club. The support of the fans is amazing. I have three years and my idea is to follow."

Doesnt seem like he is going anywhere

Agree0 Disagree0

If we are replacing RVP with Lopez that's a pretty poor move. Not that Lopez isn't good but he's not got the same quality of RVP.

G95

Agree0 Disagree0

Lopez is a winger or false 9. Doesnt mean RVP is leaving at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

I Think Lopez Might Play Wide

Agree0 Disagree0

I think if Lopez joins, then RVP is off, but this time we're prepared, but personally I don't think he'll join, I swear he came out recently saying he's happy in Spain, that said, players can say what thu like nowadays and not back it up!

D

Agree0 Disagree0

14m for a 24 year old that scores 5 goals in 20 matches, I hope not.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

Before summer and still to date, the club has (excluding Robin) FOUR "Strikers/FWDs" on their wage books they are trying to get rid of.

Carlos Vela, Niklas Bendtner, Marouane Chamakh, Ju Young Park...

Podolski was bought in, as a LW/F... Giroud is the only 'true Striker' (in Arsene's eyes) the club has yet to bring in.

Why is it so hard for people to believe that just because we MIGHT be bringing in yet another Striker; it doesn't necessarily mean Robin van Persie is on his toes?

_DialSquare_

Agree0 Disagree0

If this is true, then we must be saying goodbye to rvp,I honestly think that next week we will start to see some players leave. At the end of the 2010-2011 season, rvp stated that some of the players were not good enough to replace first team players when they were injured or suspended, hopefully Wenger has finally taken this on board.I hope Lopez does come, but not at the expense of rvp.
Braintreegooner

Agree0 Disagree0

Please note, while his name is Adrian Lopez, he does not go by the name Lopez.. just Adrian.
To those saying he's a winger, you're wrong, he's a striker who plays on the wing (like Walcott).

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't remember a madrid winning the title

Agree0 Disagree0

Get your head checked, they won europa league that is what he meant

newbadass

Agree0 Disagree0

I personally think that upfron we have enough options and i'm not willing to lose Van Persie for anybody, if it was up to me i would concentrate on getting rid of the deadwood sign an AM a DM and an utility player for the back line, someone who can cover most positions, i personally feel last season we lacked not only in quality but our bench was not up to scratch. Hopefully we wil make ammends for that this season, so far it looks promising.

Sly Spurts Italia are claiming that Arsenal are considering a move for Italian keeper Emiliano Viviano who is co-owned by Inter Milan and Palermo.

They're saying that we made an initial enquiry 2 months ago and have renewed our interest in the last couple of days.

arsenal will sign mathias suarez by monday he has now been granted a work permit. i would expect rvp to leave and padolski to play up top and suarez out wide or even behind padolski.

Believable5 Unbelievable42

Where have you found this information?

Agree0 Disagree0

Would be a little more credible of you didn't misspell Podolski's name twice.

Agree0 Disagree0

PODOLSKI!!!!! NOT PADOLSKI

Intresting little bit of news I have. Arsenal have made an enquiry for Montpellier Midfielder Younes Belhanda

NW {Ed027's Note - they made a enquiry around the same time as they enquired about Giroud, he has a very poor atitude thouht, one like Tarabat

Believable24 Unbelievable20

I hope we get him. We need an ATK mid! Him and wilshere/ox attk beast!

Agree0 Disagree0

Belhanda declared at the end of last season that he wanted to stay with Montpellier. Would be an ideal signing for Arsenal but can't see it happening. A

Agree0 Disagree0

I recon we have made a number of enquiries about a few players, but I still don't think we will hear anymore until monday onwards. RB & A CDM I would be pleased with.

Agree0 Disagree0

Make it happen AW he is only young, he will mature hopefullym, great player and would link up well with giroud

Doubt it will happen though

Anderlecht are now willing to sell Lucas Biglia because they have have found his replacement (Manchester City midfielder Muhammad Abu). Apparently Abu is in talks with the club.

Maybe Wenger will go for the cheaper option rather then M'Vila...thoughts?

Believable25 Unbelievable17

Seems more of a Pirlo-type player rather than the DM in the mold of Gilberto/Flamini that we need

i could be wrong, but that's always been my impression of him

Agree0 Disagree0

Flamini is free and could be a good rotation option that wenger is talking up. Cover for Alex song {Ed005's Note - Flamini is not free. He recently signed a new contract with AC Milan.}

M'vila is in London!

Believable40 Unbelievable35

Where does this information come from, and how reliable??? i would love it to be true

Agree0 Disagree0

Lies sky sports news would have this of it were true

Agree0 Disagree0

Where have you seen this? visual proof?

Agree0 Disagree0

I had a meeting at Viglen LTD (look them up address) which is just next to the Arsenal training ground and I drove past.

saw some commotion but didnt see anything that looked like Yann M'Villa... there was a film crew there but that could be for anything... I hope it is M'Villa doing one of those vids for the Arsenal FC website!! fingers crossed!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Its just something that was started on Twiiter by a french journo. Its not true....pretty sure mvila is away on holiday.

Agree0 Disagree0

I have been told he is London, will be announced next week, once the window is open.

Agree0 Disagree0

I'm in Majorca but I'm not signing for them!

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger ended any negotiations over him a few days ago

Agree0 Disagree0

Private hire car took him from Westminster to Bell lane

Agree0 Disagree0

Where abouts in london? {Ed027's Note - he's sitting outside the emirates

Agree0 Disagree0

Hes sat outside the emerites with a little youkalal singing this is the age of austrity

Agree0 Disagree0

At best,he would be seen in a back of a car......the players stay at sopwell house hotel, not westminister......any players that have been on euro duty with their country, that will sign for us would be completed before they go on a two week holiday.....so if he does sign it will be done by tuesday at the latest........RVP is in the dutch caribbean with his family on one of the six small islands there....

Agree0 Disagree0

He's in the Aqua Sauna massage parlour on Hornsey Road (don't ask me how I know that). Down fido.

Stezza.

Agree0 Disagree0

So is big ben....

Hearing that Yann could be our man as early as Saturday

NW

Believable34 Unbelievable26

Not til after the euros!

Agree0 Disagree0

It's not going to happen anytime soon.....

Agree0 Disagree0

Yes, please. I really think M'villa plus one versatile defender to cover right and centre back positions would make our squad look really good and favourites for top4 place next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Stop saying 'top 4 place'....We need to be talking about challenging for trophies not aiming for top 4!

Fletch

Agree0 Disagree0

Top 4? Is that the pinnacle of our ambitions now? We're gonna win the league!

Slick Mick

Agree0 Disagree0

The third reply is exactly whats wrong with Arsenal! Some fans are just content with top 4. Why dont we assemble a squad that can win the league?

Agree0 Disagree0

I said AS early. It will happen no matter what. Just hearing whispers it MAY be possibly done on Saturday

NW

Agree0 Disagree0

Our squad is way off winning titles imo but im deffo not happy with top 4 finish or the paper cup

Agree0 Disagree0

Guys, just trying to be a bit realistic here. This season we BARELY grabbed the 4th. Obviously, we want to challenge for the tittle but you have to look at Manchester City squad, Chelsea squad (they will make big transfers not after winning CL) and even Man Utd squad (yep they are rebuilding but somehow still manage to challenge every year) and think f'ing hell - they have quality there. I think next season we will be back to BIG FOUR scenario with Man Utd and City as well as Chelsea and us challenging for the tittle. I hope we can win it but we're not favourites.

Agree0 Disagree0

We made 3rd last season not fourth and have already added two players to the squad who are substantially better than what we had in that position last year. We have the right manager to help us win the league and guide us in the Champiosn League as he has done it before. We will have more defensive stability with Steve Bould coming in to integrate the beauty of Wenger's style with the grit of Grahams. We can always challenge the league, we aren't spurs top four isn't enough.

Agree0 Disagree0

"BARELY GRABBED 4th" --- Yet we came 3rd in a season where we were poor and signings needed time to gel. I think the whole prem standard was quite poor this season...i mean this man city team was not better than man utd a few seasons back. So now we are a season stronger, added more firepower i think we should aim to win honours and have a really good chance (call me optimistic) but better that then pessimistic.

Agree0 Disagree0

^^^We actually came third buddy u will be happy to know!

Agree0 Disagree0

Of course I meant 3rd (I was thinking last place to qualify to CL). I like to be realistic. And on paper so far it looks good for us. But last season I watched all those Arsenal "fans" that were shouting us out before the season, spit on wenger after couple of defeats or calling for my guy theo to go or some other b****cks like that so that is why I'm bit reluctant to to say we're going to challenge. Anyway, we all here hope for the same so let's see
