Srsly guys, stop posting 'bout getting bunch of new players. IF, and I say IF, Arsene is going to sign anyone, it is definetly going to be a central defender (with an ability to play on side maybe), due to having problems at position for the past. uum, many years. Mertesacker/Mexes seem likely, but I don't actually having any trustworthy info. Just telling you what is reasonable at given moment.

Manu have first option of Ryan Shawcross as was a reserve player for them so can't see that im affraid. Dont think anyone will know what signings are coming in until done and dusted. Wenger keeps everything hush hush. Like to see it though but im affraid not on this one.

Stoke fan here, i have heard from a reliable source at Stoke that Arsenal have enquired about Thomas Sorenson and Robert Huth. Sorenson is likely to leave and could be at the emirates this week, Huth may cost £10m + which Arsenal are unlikely to pay. Any deal may include Kieron Gibbs on loan until the end of the season.

Phillipe Mexes still hasnt been offered a new contract by Roma and I think we should approach him as he is able to talk with other clubs as of the 1st of January. We could get him for around the 5 million mark now or free in the summer. Experienced and cheap what more does Arsene want?
