Arsenal Rumours
Arsenal have offered a five-year contract to Japanese youth star Ryo Miyaichi despite the winger nursing a broken leg, according to Yomiuri Shimbun. .By all accounts Ryo Miyaichi is supposed to be the bees knees. Arsene Wenger is clearly a manager who does his research and the fact he is willing to offer a five year contract to a 17 year old says it all. . {ed's note - did he get a broken leg in the friendly he just played in for Arsenal against Boreham Wood then? Only he was supposed to have had a good game.}

He broke his leg in a ajax trial match {ed's note - ah right, because the report I was shown earlier, by the Arsenal supporting editor, was from a game he played in on Tuesday night, alongside Wellington Silva. I am assuming it was the one just gone, in which case when did he break his leg?}

I'm not sure to be honest but there are a lot of articles on it. Search around on google and you should find an answer :D {ed's note - ok cheers, sorry I thought you had some inside info on it.}

Reply to the post of the arsenal team in 3 years. you named alot of youth in defence and mid field but nasri song denilson diaby clichy vermaelen kosceinly and bendtner (fab if he stays) will still only be 25/26 in 3 years, so yeah lets hope we do dominate.

also alot of fans are unhappy with the gk situation but i think if the players put the ball in the net rather than passing it around we would smash most teams and not worry about shipping the odd goal.

remember the old aw teams would kill off teams by scoring in the first 10-15 min now we score most in the last 10-15 min.

It's ok trusting AW but when a bunch of unqualified arm chair managers can see the glaring frailties of our team why can't he. The money is there and needs to be spent if he carries on releasing quality +30 players and not replacing them. People are sick of hearing the kids are ready to rule but never deliver come on AW spend something and deliver a trophy.

Arsenal Rumours
Hi not a romour just frustration really! I heard that AW had over a 100mil to sign players if wanted, fabregas doesn't look too happy at the weekend, we have all known for 2-3 seasons WE NEED A GOALKEEPER AND SOLID CENTERHALF, jesus theirs enough half decent experienced guys about that would jump at the chance to sign not just for arsenal but to play for AW, not sure about the mertersaker deal as hes slow as so wouldn't have suited our play, but we let go campbell(again), silvestre, senderos and gallas, gallas was a decent player when he wanted to be, but after i saw an interview with nasri last year not many players in the squad would actually talk to him as hes that much of a c* k! so we still have an average goalkeeper, we managed to sign a 23y/o centre half that's from a small french team and who only recently broke through into their first team, so we now only have 3 centre halfs, and we signed a striker on a free whos record is 1 in 3 but does look resonably good at this stage, i think the net spend is around 2 million £ apparently this is the year for the youngsters to prove their worth again has he not said that for the last 3 years, come on enoughs enough AW, we all spend a bucket load of money year on year at the ground around europe and even on sky, we expect more!

Can`t help but feel that he is in for a penny in for a pound with this situation.
Not sure how true this is, but on the radio this morning it said Arsenal have 76 players on their books!
Don`t know how that compares with other clubs, but maybe that's where the majority of our wage bill comes from.
As you say 4 months, and the sad thing is that every bad result will heap pressure on both players and manager and will be scrutinised by both supporters and pundits. And if we are behind the likes or man c or even the spuds! god help us all. Its pressure that could of been avoided.

My opinion has been for a long time (as i do it in my proffession) is blood the youngsters with the experienced pro`s, they develop better, grow in confidence, get supported when they are not having the greatest game themselves, learn to think and act like the best, like i pointed out yesterday Ray Parlour openly admits he developed his game watchin and training with the likes of Bergkamp.
Chucking youngsters all in together (carling cup) is great but what do you think they learnt gettin beat by chelsea in the final, Senderos never got over the beating drogba gave him, and they faced the reality of losing (never nice, even though a part of life) Winning is a mentality, the more you do it the more you want it.
Anyway rambling now. . should really do some work.

Fingers crossed all goes well, almunia plays well, theo gains in confidence, wilshere stays out of clubs. RVP Nasri stay injury free and Eboue. . well lets just hope he stays on the bench (sorry can`t help myself)

Ike,

As the messages flow I find myself agreeing with you more!

AW is stubborn to a fault. This arbitrary 'over 30 so will only offer you a one year deal' stance has resulted in many a good player leaving. For me Gilberto being let go saw us so fragile. I genuinely believe that had we had Gilberto for a couple more years we would have won the league. Campbell should still be wearing the red of Arsenal (although I think his missus being from Sunderland sealed the Toon deal) and I agree with you about Pires.

Ironically though with this new UEFA home grown rule we have a huge number of under 21 year olds to choose from to play. That's ok for the odd game but definitely not matches at Stamford Bridge and Old Trafford.

Like I said, he has only 4 months now to save his current policy before I feel he has to release the purse strings.
