Arsenal said to be stepping up interest in Montpelier back Mapou YANGA-MBIWA

Believable37 Unbelievable35

He's not even good enough for us, if he was good he wouldn't have been excluded from the french squad for the euro's, if he's not good enough to replace the likes of Rami and Mexes in the french squad who mind you were poor then he's just simply not good enough

Agree0 Disagree0

How many times he's in discussions with fenerbahce and looks set for a move there.

Agree0 Disagree0

He is only 22 and koscielny doesn't start for france so you can't hold that against him

Agree0 Disagree0

Nice transfer if it happens. He's a beast

Agree0 Disagree0

Iv heard we tryin to get sakho now?

Clint Dempsey has spoken to Chelsea, Manchester United and Arsenal. He prefers Arsenal due to more playing time. Now it depends on bid Arsenal give to Fulham

NW

Believable43 Unbelievable26

Dont need him, also NW wt happened to mvilla? more n more reports suggesting weve pulled out

Agree0 Disagree0

No! He's had one good season, he's not world class and he's old!

I'd rather have the OX in the AM position.

We've made two good signings, we need two more.

Haslamabad

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest I would much rather have Dembele from Fulham, younger and probably better.

Agree0 Disagree0

This is copied from sports trend on twitter. NW, stop pretending like you come up with it because your itk! Sports trend is 100% speculation.

Ben

Agree0 Disagree0

I like him honest and fights for the win

Agree0 Disagree0

M'Vila is still definetly done. He is going to be a Gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

I'd take Dempsey in a heartbeat. He's been strong for years. To suggest that he's had only one good season is ridiculous.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dempsey is underrated and a top prem player. I'd be happy with that signing.

Hi Ed has balotelli success in the Euros have any bearing on City's plans to try to sign RVP.
Or is City's RVP interest to replace Dzeko {Ed002's Note - It will make no difference - it is Dzeko as you suggest that they are looking to move on.}

Believable7 Unbelievable22

Dzeko + cash if the we have to move RVP on??? I would take it I think he's a great player

Dempsey to sign for arsenal, everything verbally agreed all that's left is official bid.
Source is sport trend who we all know is very realiable n told of podolski and giroud 1st!!

Zac

Believable22 Unbelievable37

Ok ur twisting sports trend words he states depsey would choose arsenal over other clubs nothing about bid agreed

Agree0 Disagree0

Haha the bid part is the stopping point as we've also enquired about other attacking mids as well so Dempsey to Arsenal is nowhere near...and i know Sport Trend is reliable and this info is from talking with them...

Agree0 Disagree0

I don't understand why people twist words just stick to facts its no point to get people hopes up according to sports trend arsenal are interested in a few am includes belhanda so please if your going to quote something please stick to the quote i know this is a rumour site but pls don't make your on twist

Agree0 Disagree0

Sorry trying to remember what it said while writing.... It actually said Arsenal were in talks with Clint Dempsey and all thatâ™s left is for an official transfer bid to be made. But I do trust sport trend normally n thought would u guys here the ruhmour that I read!

I for one would be happy with the signing of Dempsey as he has proven pl experience rather than belhanda etc who would have to adapt, what do you guys think?

Zac

Agree0 Disagree0

We dont need him!

Agree0 Disagree0

Please no. Belhandra is a much more talented player. The priority should be for top class creativity . Dempsey is a good ( one good season ) but not great player. This would be a major 'B' list signing

danilo pereira is the subject of a £5 million bid by wenger as he searchs for a defensive midfielder. he was linked with arsenal at the end of last summer's transfer window. wenger is also intrested in felipe melo and steven n'zonzi. wenger is known to be an admirer of melo since he played for fiorentina and n'zonzi has greatly impressed since he move to blackburn. wenger has decided to opt out of signing m'vila cos of his attitude and also rennes want to get more and more money from m'vila. another defensive midfield target lucas biglia looks set for a move to real madrid. intrest in ettienne capoue has cooled due to intrest from other clubs. javi martinez is set to move to barcelonawont be moving for nigel de jong as he's on big wages and isn't willing to take a pay cut to join arsenal. transfer news on the javi garcia front has gone quiet which could suggest that talks have taken place but were unsuccessful.

Believable7 Unbelievable36

M'Vila's a done deal, we haven't opted out.

Agree0 Disagree0

Cant see how Wenger has put a bid in for Danilo Pereira when Parma have just officially loaned Danilo Pereira to Dutch side Roda JC Kerkrade for next season

Agree0 Disagree0

Wenger just buy the best player not the cheapest option.

Agree0 Disagree0

Danilo Pereira has been loaned by Parma to Roda JC in Holland.

I have heard M'vila is looking less and less likely especially as Wenger considers Diaby to be a part of next years midfield.

caen and arsenal are close to agreeing a deal for m'baye niang to move to the emirates. the fee is close to £3.9 million with wages of near £9,000 a week. it will be announced once m'baye has returned from his holiday and complates a medical. he will be loaned out back to caen for a season once's he's signed as caen want him to stay with them for another year and arsenal want him to get more first team experience.

Believable25 Unbelievable23

Would love for this to be true, but have a feeling the fee would be closer to the 8m mark.

I've just heard from a club insider that RVP wants to go to Man city but Arsene will fight tooth and nail to keep him. Also Song, Sagna and Theo are unsettled and are open to moves away.

Believable17 Unbelievable51

Dont Believe That

Agree0 Disagree0

RVP to city is a done deal! City just need to move some players on before they can sign him. Like I said 27.5 million and 215 grand aweek on a 3 year deal.

Agree0 Disagree0

Total BS !!!

Agree0 Disagree0

Sagna is not unsettled.

Agree0 Disagree0

I say sell them and get 75m if they want out! We can then get Mvilla, Boudabouz and Dempsey.

Agree0 Disagree0

Sagna will be at arsenal for the rest of his career I think.

He's a great RB and injuries aside (which aren't his fault really) he's incredibly consistent.

Hi, you might remember that a month ago that arsenal's no.1 target for CAM (which they are looking for) is goetze and that we are definately stepping up our interest. i was sceptical about this then and still am, but rumours were we had a bid rejected in the region of 18-21mil plus bendtner (who they want aswell).
well iv heard that arsenal want to make an increased offer, but due to the squad size and wage bill they want to offload a few players most importantly arshavin, chamakh and walcott. and bendtner but as part of the deal.
once again dont know if its true, just saying what iv been told.

Waq

p.s.: just a question, if fabregas was ever ready to leave barca and was willing to come back to us, do you think arsenal/wenger will make a bid? just curious

Believable21 Unbelievable25

It'd be nice, don't think Dortmund are willing to sell at all.

Agree0 Disagree0

Part of deal for fab was first refusal

Agree0 Disagree0

Why would we have issues with squad size? If a player is under 21 then they don't count.

Gotze signed a new contract last year, Borussia Dortmund are the German champions, they've got Champions League football and he has a regular spot. Why would he leave.

We've missed our chance get over it.

waq, i took quite a bit of abuse over this, but i am told he is the marquee signing
malaga gooner

Agree0 Disagree0

I dont see Arsenal making a CAM signing, as we have quite few players already. The rumours persist that we are looking for a defensive midfield player. As for Fabregas, I would not want him back, we finished one place higher, with more points than the season before when he was at the club. Interestingly since his move to Barca, he has not been a regular first choice & Barca failed to win the CL & La Liga with him, when they has won it the previous season without him. I cant stand the Arsenal love in for him, he was our captain & forced a move despite having 3 years left on his contract. Personally I far prefer Arteta who in my opinion is a better all round player. Next season we have Wilshere & Abu Diaby back, who can both play the CAM role.

Agree0 Disagree0

Really really hope so! Watch a lot of German football, and would trade him for Walcott, Arshavin and Bentdner plus cash in a heartbeat. Would love to see him in the red and white, this boy is gonna be super in the future. Fingers crossed.

Agree0 Disagree0

Dortmund already signed a striker, Julian steiber, so no bendtner wont be included in any deal.

Ibster

Agree0 Disagree0

To be honest i wouldent sign him this season anyway, hes a young lad that obv wants to stay with his home club for another year .... in other words he feels hes not ready, better than having that than that tool hazard who felt he could choose who he was signing for, Goetze didnt play at euro 2012 either so hes obv got development required, arteta will be 32 at the end of next season rosisky 33 so he will be a direct replacement for either

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben x seems like a right arse. Constantly getting funny about other peoples posts then makes himself look a fool in his own. The point in this site is for people to discuss certain possibilities. If you don't like people doing that, and you find some comments below you, I suggest you go somewhere else. You're a pathetic child.

Chimney sweep Josh.

I'm sorry, do you know me? No, thought not, I'm not going to force you to like me, your opinion is just that, yours. If you don't like the way I come across then don't read my comments, simple.

But one thing I can not get over is the hypocrisy in your comment. Yes this site is for people that want others to hear what they know, rumours etc.. But what it's not for is for childish fools to start arguments because they had a hard day at school.

I'm not going to be judged by someone who frankly I couldn't care less about. I come on here for the banter and the odd true rumour, I'm not going to stop that because of someone's personal agenda. And you call me a child, hypocrite.

To the other guy, Mario's only young, he's been brought up through Dortmund's youth academy, he plays in a brilliant stadium with team mates he's been with most of his senior career. With improved terms on his new contract I doubt he'll move. I mean, I wouldn't if I was in his position. Of course that would be a different matter if I was an Arsenal fan.

Ben X.

Agree0 Disagree0

I def think we will sign a Attacking Mid just not Gotze, and for comment above only reason he didn't get time in the Euros was becuase he was injured for most of the 2nd half of the season so he hadn't had much game time before. and Dzagoev no long has 6 months left on his contract so we can't sign him in January for free.

Agree0 Disagree0

To the poster who stated Goetze did not play at Euro 2012 - I think your'll find he came on during their Quarter final and played out on the right.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben x

Firstly, as you well know I don't know you, but I see evidence on a daily basis that you're rude, have a severe inferiority complex and have a habit of putting people down for an opinion or question they may have. My post was not hypocritical, my post was made because you were being dismissive of someone because they had a perfectly legitimate question that you thought was stupid. It doesn't make me a hypocrite for stating that somebody should be allowed to do that, quite the opposite in fact. Maybe you should be the one having a day at school, good or bad, and then maybe you'd have a better grasp of the English language and learn the definition of hypocrisy. Though being a Saturday, I doubt a particularly large amount of people are at school, but I guess when you're on job seekers all the days feel like a weekend anyway.

What is hypocritical is you saying that you couldn't care less about my opinion or me, and then in a demonstration of anger post a ridiculous nonsensical response. That proves you do care, maybe a little it maybe a lot :-)

Finally, if I'm judging you, it's my no means prejudiced, it's a judgment based on several of your posts I've read, so it's perfectly valid whether you care to agree or not.

Josh

Agree0 Disagree0

Oh now I really have heard it all. Please, tell me how I've put anyone down, sure I'm sarcastic sometimes but only when the question or statement deserves it.

The only person being rude is you, you called me an arse and a fool, maybe you need to have a look in the mirror. If that's not being a hypocrite I don't know what is.

I honestly couldn't care less what you think of me, you really are pathetic, to insult random people over the Internet, makes me think your pretty upset with the downfalls of your own life.

Now, there was no perfectly legitimate question made, it was a statement, and I responded with another statement informing this guy about Gotze's situation, now you tell me what's wrong with that, maybe it's you that's needs a refresher on the English language.

Plus why do you keep calling me a child? What kind of obsession do you have, or maybe you think drawing the attention away from yourself will manipulate others into thinking your all big and grown up, bless you.

Though, say a was a child, which I'm not, but If I was, wouldn't you think it's wrong to start an argument with me, I mean would you walk up to a child in the street and start judging him, calling him names?

My guess is you feel like taking your pent up anger out on someone, but your a coward so you hit a forum in which nobody knows who you are.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ben x and Josh, please stop embarrassing yourselves. And for the person ragging on Fabregas, he is already an Arsenal legend he was our best player for 5 years and left on good terms I would happily have him back. For now I think we will stick with Arteta while we develop the young guns.

I agree with walle let not get carried away with signing playesrs we dont need, Arteta is a perfectly good CAM for us at the moment had a great season, go ARTETA!

I'm a new follower on Arsenal rumours what's your opinion Ed on the rumour that Dempsey will join from Fulham. {Ed005's Note - It is certainly possible.}

Believable21 Unbelievable19

Does anyone else think Dempsey may turn out like Arteta did. At Everton Arteta was a key player due to less impressive players around him therefore making him stand out. As is Dempsey at Fulham. But Arteta moved to arsenal and so far hasnt really cut it

DD arsenal

Agree0 Disagree0

DD- to be fair that could be said about all our players we have signed recently and in the past. We rarely (if ever) buy a player from a bigger club than us. Hence we have a long list of duff signings already to our name.

Paul - Rochester

Agree0 Disagree0

What are you on?

arteta has been the reason we managed to get third this year...

Agree0 Disagree0

Not really cut it, are you mad, or do you just not watch arsenal games. He was one of our best players last season. In the same way as pirlo for italy, his constant pass and move are what made the team tick. You saw how much worse we were without him in the side at the end of the season!

Agree0 Disagree0

Arteta didnt stand out! We struggled to win when he didnt play. He was excellent, one of our best players. If RVP were to leave I think Dempsey would be a quality addition.

Agree0 Disagree0

WTF - Arteta was one of our best players last season. I'd put him second to Perise. When he got injured towards the end of last season we were screwed and it showed.

I do agree with you on the Dempsey matter though. He is not the type of player that would fit in with our style of play.

Agree0 Disagree0

Hasn't cut it? Did you watch Arsenal last season. Our best midfielder by a mile.

Agree0 Disagree0

Arteta was great for us last year he would obviously look better playing for everton as he was surrounded by inferior players, when he wasn't in the team we missed him greatly.

Agree0 Disagree0

Has really cut it? Are you serious?

If it werent for the face value of RVPs magnificence Arteta was easliy the most important player in our squad last year - he made the team work as a unit as much as it was possible.

When I read the first part of the post- whether 'dempsey could end up being second arteta for arsenal' - I thought to myself: EXACTLY ... but my point of view is that I pray something like that would happen.

ASyD

Agree0 Disagree0

What doyou mean Arteta hasn't really cut it? You really don't know anything about football do you...

Agree0 Disagree0

He Was Our Best Mid Not Because Of How Good He His But Because Of How Poor Our Midfield Is.

Agree0 Disagree0

^I disagree. Arteta has been great for a last minute buy. He was fairly quick to settle in and he has the second highest pass completion rate in the Prem behind Yaya Toure. Okay he is no Cesc but I think he's done far better than you give him credit for!

Agree0 Disagree0

Arteta is a good midfielder, not the flashiest but does his job, last season he helped us maintain our position as 1 of the top teams in the PL so anybody complaining about Arteta workrate and ability, clearly has a poor understanding of football.
As far as Dempsey is concerned i'm not too convinced, he could do wonder for us but i'll let Arsene make the decision on him and will trust his instincts

Mayor

Agree0 Disagree0

In what universe has Arteta 'not cut it'. Idiotic comments like this really annoy me Arteta was one of tthe most consistent performers last season

Agree0 Disagree0

How did Arteta make us tick? He slowed down the play. Song was our best midfielder by far. Arteta is average yet he seemed to be quite important because of how average our midfield was last year with wilshire and diaby out and fabregas etc gone.

Agree0 Disagree0

Ive been a season ticket holder for 20 years so ive seen the good and the bad and for me Song was by far our best midfielder last season no doubts about it not arteta. Arteta has look average bar the game against city whence scored the winner he was a different class.

Agree0 Disagree0

Please Arsenal don't sign Dempsey been dreading this signature since this rumour was first uttered.
